Unintended Consequences: What do we want Congress to do? NOTHING!

A few months ago, Rick Santelli ranted again and told the Government to Stop Spending, Stop Spending, Stop Spending. It was great! Rick did not intend to be a voice of the tea party movement but his rants had unintended consequences – he revolutionized our country! Listen to Rick here:

I was recently asked by a reporter what the tea party wanted Congress to do when they returned. He was stunned by my reaction. I said, “Nothing. Do nothing.” If I could video Rick Santelli screaming “Do nothing, do nothing, do nothing” – I would pay him to do so!

Why would I even suggest that our new Congressmen should come to Washington and do nothing? Let me explain what Do Nothing means. If a bill comes before them, they should ask these three questions which I call “Do Nothing Rules”:

· Does this grow the Federal Government?

· Does this create more Bureaucracy?

· Does this impact Liberty?

· If the answer is Yes to any of these questions, our Congressmen should DO NOTHING-VOTE NO!

How wonderful would this be if every one of the members of Congress used the Do Nothing Rule to make decisions? Life would be easy. Politics would be simple. People could be left alone to live in liberty and freedom once again in America.

Reality shows are a favorite of the networks. I have a new one for them. We can call it “Unintended Consequences.” We would never run out of story lines and weekly America would see the horrors of Obamacare’s unintended consequences and the Financial Reform Bill’s unintended consequences and other bills unintended consequences. Real life people could tell their horror stories and we could cry and hope for a good ending and pray their stories do not become ours.

The Zombie Congress aka Lame Duck Congress is licking their lips and set on ready to DO A LOT and damage our lives through more unintended consequences bills. Check out all the damage they can do and sign petitions or call Congress straight from Liberty Central’s website at http://www.libertycentral.org/how-to-slay-a-zombie-congress-get-your-arsenal-at-liberty-central-2010-11

A note to our new leaders heading to DC in January
We are excited and encouraged that you won. We ask you to consider the Do Nothing Rule. It will be easy to remember and it’s the right thing to do. If you choose Big Government, Big Bureaucracy and less Liberty for all – the unintended consequences will be this: You’ll lose your job.
We have hope in you and we will pray that you can stand up to those who will try to persuade you to another way of thinking. Don't drink the kool-aid!

Americans are always safer when Congress and their state legislatures are out of session. The only thing I add to the do nothing idea presented here is mention the Constitution. Most of what Congress does is unconstitutonal to begin with so doing nothing is a "great idea."

First of all, it saddens my heart to hear that our very much loved, Ginni Thomas, is stepping down.
She has been , on the forefront of this great battle. I only hope she will continue to work with Liberty Central, and to be the voice of so many of her supporters.
Also, let me add my support, for our new mission, "Hold Their Feet To The Fire".
The acid test must be "Do Nothing" for each piece of legislation that comes before our new Representatives, and yes, we will be watching.

We have to keep the heat on the new ones going in, a constant reminder that we will be WATCHING. We are not going away, if they do what they were hired to do they can stay for a bit, if not"bye-bye. A new one next time. We have to make demands sometimes. Like no more spending, term limits, etc. they work for us. Remind them constantly. Keep the focus on America.

I fear that the standing members of our government and the Washington lobbyist will be like pedifiles try to entice small children into their cars as the newly elected members arrive. I can just see them offering the poison apple of politics as usual with great personal benefit. It is my hope that the new members have the strength and integrity to withstand the onslaught of coruption that is going to meet them. I hope they will stand sound on their values and the wish of the people that sent them there.

The scariest sentence in the English language: "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you." I LOVE the "do nothing" rules. We must stand watch to see if they put them into practice!

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
