VOTE ON EPA’S CAP AND TRADE TOMORROW -- THE SAME AGENCY WHO ALLOWED THE OIL SPILL IN THE GULF DUE TO INCOMPETENCE AND LACK OF OVERSIGHT!

It’s time to pick up your phone and start calling other Senators who are leaning towards voting No on SJRes 26.

The EPA is attempting a power grab and wants to regulate new laws instead of letting the legislature process laws through our Constitutional process.

The EPA has shown incompetence with the oil spill in the Gulf. EPA Administrator, Lisa Jackson said, “I think the greatest concern is that we are dealing with so many unknowns.” Jackson said the blame has to be placed with BP because BP “gave federal officials assurances over the years that nothing like this would happen and there was no contingency plan in place in case it did.” WHAT?

If the EPA is in charge, would they not be responsible for ensuring a backup plan is in place? Just because BP “assured” them that this would not happen – does not make it so.

The EPA has become a bureaucracy of mighty power and it needs to be cut off from taking more power NOW!!

If the EPA is allowed to regulate greenhouse gases, new emissions permits would be mandatory for small businesses and a huge tax on all of us will happen! This new rule will shut off business investments, destroy MORE jobs, and increase our cost of living because of the extra tax burdens we will bear.

The EPA is also attempting to take the power away from Congress. Why would a Senator vote No on a bill that will raise taxes and will shut down our legislative system and put it into the hands of the EPA? This bill will neuter Congress. (We know that is a strong word yet it is the only word that seems appropriate right now.)

So, let’s roll and call these Senators and ask them to vote YES on SJ Res 26. Tell them why…We Do Not Want the EPA to Regulate. We want him/her to Legislate!

A very simple but very effective way to contact the Senators about the Senate Resolution to stop the EPA is visit The Center For American Responsibility. http://centerforamericanresponsibility.org/imperatives_list.asp For $4 you can fax 30 key Senators. This group is non profit, and researches each piece of legislation to look for key votes..based on their position, how they stand in elections and how they have previously voted. Our group uses them and find them well written, factual and extremely compelling.

This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
