The news is large yet the trending is weak. What does that mean?
Most of the internet search engines have a “trending now” section when you go to their home pages. Trending indicates the top ten items people are searching for on the internet. This morning the trends were: Jessica Alba, Kathleen Turner, Roger Ebert, Kate Hudson, Baskin-Robbins, Lily Allen, Hulu Plus, iPhone data, Alzheimer’s, gas prices. I sat there looking at the trending now column and thought to myself, “We are in trouble.”
Here is the real news that happened and it didn’t make the top ten list:
Federal
Administration to Expand Federal Waterways Oversight
The White House vs. Boeing: A Tennessee Tale
CEOs: The White House wants a list of your donations
Gas prices more than doubled under Obama -- Ok – I’ll give credit here – this one was in the top 10 trending but did they notice this one below…
EPA Blocks Oil Drilling in Alaska
And the “big one” from yesterday: White House releases birth certificate
And the horrible news from yesterday: Violent storms kill 178 in the South
State
Rick Scott wants Corporate Tax Cuts but GOP controlled Committee balks
E-Verify Bill Dying a Slow Death in Senate | Sunshine State News
Florida session rolls to a close and some bills are losing steam
City (I hate to say this but finding local news that was not pulled from the AP was really tough! We know there is local news and we have a few to tell you here that was not printed in the newspaper.)
In TU: Restore funding to children's programs (good news here – we don’t have to fund this because a private enterprise has stepped forward and that can be found on the front page of today’s TU - Players will raise $50M for area kids (now that’s how you do it – partnerships!)
In TU: Feds sink plans to ban bottom fishing in Fl and Ga (more good news and we wonder if that is because Florida is a key state for Obama to win in 2012? Whatever the reason for the turnaround – we’re happy!)
NOT in TU: Here are a few Did You Knows not showing up in print in our hometown Local Races:
So where is the news and why aren’t people interested in it? Those who are trending on yahoo or google are looking for the latest gadget or the scoop on their favorite stars. These will be the people that Obama recruits for his 2012 run and if we don’t get the real stories out then we’ll have four more years of the mess we have now.
We can’t survive that type of leadership. It’s time to get educated and help educate others with the real news!

I will try to get my sister to watch but she is not a computer You tube person, she's a DVD watching person. She likes to relax and watch everything on tv and I think those are the people I would like to target (help). That's why I wish somebody would compile these things together. I would not have known what to look up on YouTube if it weren't for Glenn Beck making so many connections and showing all the little snippets of videos over the two years.
thanks for your help.
Roma, I have no objection to anyone using anything I write. What I write is based upon documentation from my own research and my understanding of that documentation. I would be pleased if others were able to learn from it as I did.
Regarding your statement, "If you click on the video twice, it will take you to its source where you can copy the HTML to embed it on a website. If anyone wants more information on how to do this, just ask. I can give more details if wanted," I would like more information on this process and any instructions you have about posting videos. This would be very helpful, either here or on one of my blogs. In fact, information technology would be a great subject for a blog all by itself, since, with rapid changes in technology, it's an on-going process to stay up to date.
Here are some very good links on the topic of Nullification, including Tom Wood's excellent book "Nullification:"

Addressing the local Jacksonville election: Local elections is the primordial soup of politics. This is where most politicians get their start, except Obama, and you see where that got us. The voters have made strides toward conservatism in the March election and need to make an even more concerted effort in the runoff election May 2 through 17. Two major races included in the runoffs are the Jacksonville Mayor and City Council District 6. The incumbent in District 6 is the current City Council President who pushed the two huge tax increases instead of cutting back spending. This thinking is attributed to liberal minds. To see which candidates in the runoff have a conservative mindset and which have a liberal mindset visit http://conservativevoterresearch.webs.com/
Here is a link to information about the oil drilling process on land. Water is used to make mud used in the initial drilling of the well before it is capped. When an oil well becomes depleted, cement is inserted to seal off remaining oil from the water. A working oil well then can provide oil from those extensive oil reservoirs for many years before depletion. I read the entire article and found nothing to indicate that the process was so water intensive. The expense from the initial use of water in drilling might be relatively high, but would surely be well offset in the out years in the life of the producing well.
By the way, the oil fields John Saputo referred to are in North Dakota and Montana, and his point, with which I agree, is there is no consititutional reason why any state in this union that approves permitting of oil drilling within its borders, would not have the sovereign right to approve and allow it. The federal government has no constitutional right to forbid or prevent it. It's a state's rights issue. The federal government has overreached in this area, and others, for so long they believe they are entitled to do so---thus the evolution of the imperial presidency toward the end of an all-powerful socialist state that micromanages the states and the lives of all citizens of those states. Thankfully, there are still a lot of us out here who have not yet drunk the Koolaid.
Another example of that imperial president entitlement, is occurring in our own community right now, with union and Organizing for America goons coming into Jacksonville to interject itself into, influence and interfere in our local election process, just as they did in the Wisconsin legislative process with regard to an anti-collective bargaining bill being passed. That is not a presidential prerogative and it is unethical to the core.
Steve, please source your information about oil well drilling being extensively water intensive. When I lived in Texas near oil drilling areas, they were basically in the desert or high desert with no water for miles around. That's two comments you've posted here today without sourcing. It is very helpful to all of us to have source links so we can evaluate the documentation for what you've written and learn more on the subject. Thanks.
J.R.
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
