What's Trending on the Internet?

The news is large yet the trending is weak.  What does that mean?

Most of the internet search engines have a “trending now” section when you go to their home pages.  Trending indicates the top ten items people are searching for on the internet.  This morning the trends were:  Jessica Alba, Kathleen Turner, Roger Ebert, Kate Hudson, Baskin-Robbins, Lily Allen, Hulu Plus, iPhone data, Alzheimer’s, gas prices.  I sat there looking at the trending now column and thought to myself, “We are in trouble.”

Here is the real news that happened and it didn’t make the top ten list:

Federal

Administration to Expand Federal Waterways Oversight

The White House vs. Boeing: A Tennessee Tale

CEOs:  The White House wants a list of your donations

Gas prices more than doubled under Obama  -- Ok – I’ll give credit here – this one was in the top 10 trending but did they notice this one below…

EPA Blocks Oil Drilling in Alaska

And the “big one” from yesterday:  White House releases birth certificate

And the horrible news from yesterday:  Violent storms kill 178 in the South

State

Rick Scott wants Corporate Tax Cuts but GOP controlled Committee balks

E-Verify Bill Dying a Slow Death in Senate | Sunshine State News

Florida session rolls to a close and some bills are losing steam

City (I hate to say this but finding local news that was not pulled from the AP was really tough!  We know there is local news and we have a few to tell you here that was not printed in the newspaper.)

In TU:  Restore funding to children's programs  (good news here – we don’t have to fund this because a private enterprise has stepped forward and that can be found on the front page of today’s TU - Players will raise $50M for area kids  (now that’s how you do it – partnerships!)

In TU:  Feds sink plans to ban bottom fishing in Fl and Ga  (more good news and we wonder if that is because Florida is a key state for Obama to win in 2012?  Whatever the reason for the turnaround – we’re happy!)

NOT in TU:  Here are a few Did You Knows not showing up in print in our hometown Local Races:

  • Our endorsed candidate in the City Council, District 1 – Clay Yarborough - is fighting a Republican infiltrator.  Life Long Democrat Lindsey Brock was recruited to run against Councilman Yarborough with the hopes of swinging that Republican held seat to the Democrats on the Council.   Mr. Brock switched his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican 2 weeks before he filed to run for office!  He had been a registered Democrat for over 20 years!   This is what we call a RINO!

  • Our endorsed candidate for Tax Collector, Dick Kravitz, is up against Michael Corrigan who is a City Council member.  Mr. Corrigan voted YES to raise our taxes every time there was a tax increase and he voted to double our garbage fees too.  Now Mr. Corrigan wants to sit in the Tax Collector’s office with the hard-earned dollars of the taxpayers piled up around him and count it with glee.   Let’s not let him get that chance!

  • In City Council, District 6 – Jack Webb is running against Matt Schellenberg.  Jack voted to raise our taxes again and again and after the last tax increase, he raised his hand in a high five with Councilman Joost!   That was a horrible display of unprincipled leadership.  Mr. Webb:  At least show some compassion for the ones who will now have less money in their pockets because you guys could not find a way to cut expenses.  You didn’t do your job, sir!  Additionally, some of Mr. Webb’s goons intimidated one of our tea party members waving signs for Matt Schellenberg.  She filed a complaint and as expected, nothing happened.  Do we want this type of leader on our city council?

  • In the At Large Group 1 race – Kimberly Daniels had to install a sophisticated security system and place a protective barrier around her home.  She has been threatened and unimaginable objects have been left on her doorstep.  We have no idea what is going on here but these types of tactics are unacceptable.   As for Mr. Taylor, a lawyer, is running against her and has a boat load of complaints against him for fraud, dishonesty and other allegations.  These are just complaints and you can read more here at:  Concerned Taxpayers of Duval County Voter Guide

  • And of course the Mayoral race has its share of devious tactics.  New York, New Jersey and others from DC are lending a hand to Alvin Brown.  This week Bill Clinton did robo-calls for Alvin.  The DC machine is here and we need to let them know – this is our town – get out and go home!  Make sure you help Mike Hogan by VOTING and not sitting home.  This all comes down to VOTES only!  If you want to help in this campaign – please contact campaign headquarters at:  http://hoganformayor.com/mike-hogan-home.php

So where is the news and why aren’t people interested in it?  Those who are trending on yahoo or google are looking for the latest gadget or the scoop on their favorite stars.  These will be the people that Obama recruits for his 2012 run and if we don’t get the real stories out then we’ll have four more years of the mess we have now.

We can’t survive that type of leadership.  It’s time to get educated and help educate others with the real news!

The process of nullification or interposition, as shown in below diagram, is the States' sovereignty answer to unconstitutional laws, edicts, executive orders, fiats, and unconstitutional legislating through regulatory power of federal agencies that affect any state.. States have sovereignty rights that protect them and any state can interpose/nullify unconstitutional acts by the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of government that affect their state.

U.S. Constitution, Amendment X: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

There is nothing in the Constitution that gives the President the right to dictate what can be done within the territorial boundaries of any state in the union or what business enterprise takes place in international waters. If Alaska's, or any other state's government decides to drill for oil within its geographic boundaries, they have the absolute power to do so. The executive branch of the federal government has, in many cases, unlawfully intruded into and abused states' rights through the use of executive orders and through intrusive federal government regulations in many different areas, from mining, environmental restrictions on land use, oil drilling, claiming state lands for federal government use and regulation, education, healthcare, water use, and restricting legitimate business enterprises within the confines of individual states, to mention just some of them.

States have the lawful and constitutional right to protect their power and control within their own borders and can interposition and/or nullify unconstitutional intrusions and conscriptions of state power and control. Nullification means declaring an unconstitutional act null and void on its face. In other words, a state can void an unconstitutional act against the sovereignty and best interests of their state, as if the unconstitutional act does not exist. The same can be done in courts of law, to void a court order that was obtained through unconstitutional or fraudulent means, denial of due process, or bias on the part of the court, for example.

The American people, and the states wherein they reside, need to become better informed of their constitutional rights that have been for so long abused and denied---rights that they have, through ignorance and inattention, accepted as lawful "business as usual" and as things they have no control over or power to do anything to reverse.

US Hidden Oil Reserves Untapped, Why?   Spineless Congress in all three brances of both liberal Dems and Repubs ought to be very nervous right now when our nation finds out that we have the answer to both oil and our debt crisis.  This article needs to be shared with EVERYONE!

"THE OBAMA STRATEGY"

This is an absolute must read from, the American Thinker website, if you want to really understand Obama's strategy for winning in 2012.  It's an issue of "talk, talk..." versus "fight, fight."  When you read it, you will see clearly how doing one of these prevents the other---other being the one that gives conservatives the best chance of winning the presidency.  It is a clever, but diabolical strategy on Obama's part, it is working, and if we don't do something to change it, he will likely win re-election.

Yes, Roma, Debbie Gonzales does an excellent job of research and sharing that research, especially with regard to qualifying candidates for election. And, when she makes a blog post, we contribute comments to it.

Re your comment below, "I think he believes, as President his job is to appoint unelected Czars to do his job while he vacations and campaigns." His appointment of more than 40 "czars" is designed to do an end run around the Constitution and the U.S. Senate, whose job it is to approve advisors to the President. It is my understanding that he rarely even meets with his approved Cabinet officers, and allows these political "czars" to act as his advisors, in an unconstitutional capacity and role. It's a full employment for Democrats socialists effort on Obama's part---and a prime example of his "organizing" for America at the White House level. This is not only unconstitutional, it is a dangerous threat to our constitutional republic and our rights and freedoms.

Also, the Senate did a bad job of researching before approving some of the Obama advisors they did approve, like George Soros-allied Samantha Power, who advised him to go to war against Libya. And, we know Obama violated the Constitution when he followed that bad advice and took our country to war without a Declaration of War by Congress. But then, Obama's agenda is the same as Soros' and Powers' agenda. A good source regarding the unconstitutionality of that war action can be read in Rob Natelson's analysis of that unconstitutional action that is on his website.

But, you're right, Obama does spend most of his time taking vacations every other week, playing golf and basketball, and traveling all over the country to campaign for himself and for Democrat candidates---all at U.S. taxpayers' expense. He hasn't stopped campaigning since 2007. It's what he does. Apart from that, he's just dangling on George Soros' and the United Nations strings.

The news this morningis full of tornado damages and 194 deaths.

Where is our president, his is doing serious work, he has no time for silliness, he is late for the OPRAH show.

Not 1 single comment about the ruined lives of the people that have had their homes destroyed, not 1 word about the extreme loss of life. Not 1 word about declareing a state of emergency in the effected states.

Where is he when not on OPRAH, he is doing fund raisers for his campaign.

GOD in hope 2012, gets here soon. We must rid ourselves of this menace.

See you at poll watcther training tonight.

FCTP members Roma Cox, J.L. Gawlick, Pat McBride, Rick Story, myself and others spend a lot of time posting blogs that provide valuable information about prominent national and local news, the Constitution, the U.S. Congress, the FL Legislature, the national elections and local elections and candidates qualifications and voting records, the national budget proposals and the deficit, elections, the financial situation on both the local and national levels, education, Obama's unconstitutional war against Libya and states in this union, illegal immigration, globalization, the world-governance promoting United Nations, the dangers of Shari'a law to our legal system, the danger of labor unions and their economic drain on Florida's and our country's economy, vouchers and school choice, and many other important and timely issues we all need to understand to be informed voters and informed when we contact our elected officials. We include videos and links that provide more information.

Unfortunately, there is nothing on the website either driving traffic to our efforts or encouraging members to participate in the dialogue and learning process. I, for one, have learned a great deal from these other members who do participate. Also, there are no hit counters to let any blog poster know how many, if any, members are even linking to and reading these blog posts. Not everyone knows what a blog is or how to post one, let alone how valuable they can be.

We certainly cannot count on the FL Times-Union for fair and balanced news. Neither can we count on the alphabet national TV networks for it. A sidebar on the main page of the website with links to important, legitimate sources for news and information about our government and prominent topics of concern and interest, as well as contact links to state and federal elected officials and educational government resources would be helpful. Such information and a vehicle for accessing it quickly and easily would be a very useful learning resource and would provide needed information for members to share with others with whom they come in contact. Informed members will be more productive members in getting out the valuable message of the Tea Party and that we aren't just a bunch of people who have rallies and stand on street corners holding up signs.

Thanks for posting Billie.  I reposted most of these (that I could on facebook).  I am just amazed about the state legislatures and most especially the senate.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
