WND: Witness counters Trayvon Martin media narrative; Says 17-year-old was beating Zimmerman before shooting
Since the NAACP (Al Sharpton and others) is treating this like a cold blooded murder, and we are treated to pictures of this young man when he was 9 or 10 rather than as he looks now which is quite different and more ominous to someone, it tends to slant how people feel about this case, and the media has made a circus of it when the facts are not even yet known. And then, of course, Obama has weighed in, and I, for one, am still scratching my head trying to figure out what possible bearing this young man possibly looking like the son he does not have could possibly have on this case..............or even why he felt the need to weigh in on this case at all from the federal level. Now, however, a witness has come forward who has indicated, Mr. Zimmerman had a right to be fearful for his life which throws a totally different light on things, and we will have to carefully watch how this investigation moves forward since this case is now in the national spotlight.
Maybe George Zimmerman did act in self-defense when he shot and killed Trayvon Martin, whose death Feb. 26 in Sanford, Florida, has been the focus of a media and political circus that even included Barack Obama weighing in this week.
An eyewitness to the incident told police Martin was beating Zimmerman before he shot him.
Zimmerman had called 911 to report the suspicious activities of a youth in his neighborhood, telling the dispatcher that he was following Martin.
On the recording of another 911 call, repeated cries of “help” can be heard before the gunshot.
The witness, identified only as John, says those cries were made by Zimmerman who was on the ground being beaten by Martin.
“The guy on the bottom who had a red sweater on was yelling to me: ‘help, help … and I told him to stop and I was calling 911,” he said.
Martin was wearing a gray hoodie, while Zimmerman was wearing red.
“When I got upstairs and looked down, the guy who was on top beating up the other guy, was the one laying in the grass, and I believe he was dead at that point,” John said.
Zimmerman claimed the shooting was self-defense. Zimmerman said he was going back to his SUV when he was attacked by the teen. Sanford police say Zimmerman was bloody in his face and head, and the back of his shirt was wet and had grass stains, indicating a struggle took place before the shooting.
Meanwhile, the attack has been portrayed by most media outlets as a racist, vigilante-style assault by Zimmerman – a half-Hispanic, half-white, self-style neighborhood crime-watch captain – on an innocent role-model black teen-ager carrying only a cell phone and some Skittles.
Obama weighed in on the shooting Friday, saying the incident requires all Americans to “do some soul searching.”

More news out about this. Has everyone seen it. Now not only do they have some really negative stuff on Martin, there is also some more info about Zimmerman. Folks are digging up the dirt on both of them....................

So have you guys seen the video of Zimmerman walking into the police department? That schnoz looks pretty much intact, no blood down the front of his shirt.

You do not listen Amanda. According the witnesses, Zimmerman did not attack Martin. Martin attacked Zimmerman. It does not matter what was going on a half hour before he attacked Zimmerman. What matters is he attacked Zimmerman and Zimmerman feared for his life...................please wait until the investigation is done ...............stop this please!

Patricia, not one person, the LEAD INVESTIGATOR. You say you trust the popo, why not this guy who got run over by a career politician.
I know facts aren't a big thing, but here's the facts jack. You kill someone who is unarmed, you will be required to make an affirmative defense. It is out there outside the bubble, find it, read it, it is your duty as citgizens. You can claim many things, but when there is a dead body you are responsible for, you have to prove it. Self defense doesn't work when you initiate the attack. Why did police keep the boys family at bay for three days, refusing to allow them to identify the remains. Can neither of you imagine the outrage of your son being gunned down for no cause. And what if he did counter Zimmerman's attempt to stop him? I know I would do the same.
One more thing, if you are approaching someone with the intent to stop them the first thing you do is prfoduce your weapon, so as to make plain your intent. By failing to produce his weapon, that is his claim not mine, he invited this murder to occur. Learn what to do with a weapon before you carry one around.

Love the poo expert (too funny). and your comment is absolutely correct John. Amanda, the word should be officer not officers. One person wanted to arrest Zimmerman before the investigation and before other facts came out, but we do not know if that person still feels the same way or I haven't heard if he does.

This is a case of an elected official, Wolfinger, overruling the investigating officers. Do you trust elected officials also?
And by the way, you lose the presumption of innocence when you shoot and kill an unarmed person. You then have to present an affirmative defense. It is the law.

I am not in the tea party because of the way police departments do their job. I trust them to do their job and do it well, and until such time as it is proven they aren't doing a good job...............I will not try to second guess them.
