I would say that this is unbelievable but unfortunately it's just not surprising to me. TSA has hired people who are NOT qualified (ANYONE can apply for that job and do little 'training') to search their own bathrooms let alone complete strangers persons! I have experienced broken items from vacations where they have 'searched' through my suitcases twice coming out of Baltimore Washinton International Airport and it took almost one complete year to get them to pay the first time and 4 months the second time when they actually cut the 'TSA' lock off of my suitcase in a manner that rendered the BRAND NEW suitcase useless. And the lock was set to the code so they didn't even attempt to squeeze the lock to open it in the first place. The entire zipper had to be replaced AND TSA NEVER even actually searched the suitcase after they cut the zipper off!!! Probably because they were afraid that they wouldn't be able to close it at all after damaging the zipper like the idiots that they are! Another time, again in Baltimore, the TSA 'inspector' looked my drivers license over like it was fake and gave me a hard time, was unpleasant, and generally just an absolute jerk! I"m 48 years old and was traveling with my husband who was behind me in the pre-security line and he was about to let him know about his ass. The guy didn't know I was with anyone at the time and had just let a woman in front of me go who had been stressed out about getting through the 2 hour line to catch her plane (she was late due to the airports disorganization as they sent half of us to another line after we'd been in one line for an hour just to start over again) barely looking at her ID. My mother is 70 years old and has had both knees replaced and they (again BWI) practically strip searched her and just dumped her purse out all over the table and then left her to pick it all up! It is really ridiculous!!! I've also seen them acting inappropriately when they're on their breaks as well in the food courts. Walking around with 'grills' in their mouths, holding their ID badges between their teeth like they're special (special morons), strutting around like they've got loads in their pants. From now on I'm going to use my camera phone to video these idiots as evidence of their incompetancy and upload to web sites for everyone to view and then maybe the right people will take notice and start 'cleaning house' properly. They know that these 'employees' steal and everything else! They've got cameras all over the airports yet they do almost nothing to correct their problems at the detriment to the public. They should all be fired and this type of security should really be handled by Federal Government run employees who know what they're supposed to be doing and how to do it right!
