Ok, so who is the Tea Party backing for the Republican nomination? For President? I'm sure you all have done more reseach than I have, so I'd be interested in reading your opinions.

"Fair Tax", "Fair Share", Fair This, Fair That. Was it Fair that you were born in what was once the greatest country on earth, while someone else was born in Africa? Was it "Fair" that you were born with four working limbs, including ten fingers and toes, while others were born with birth defects? Was it "Fair" that you were born with a well functioning brain which allows you to do practically anything you set your mind to, with some effort and determination? I'm sick and tired of hearing about "Fair".
Fair is an abstract concept that doesn't exist in reality! Get over it! Paraphrasing JFK, if you expect life to be fair most of your life will disappointments. Fairness is being born with equal opportunity to make of yourself whatever you decide to, not the equal results of the lazy vs. the ambitious.
The Fair tax is better than what we currently have, but it is still a tax on labor. Our Founding Father's opposed tax on labor for a very good reason.
Woodrow Wilson, a progressive President, established the Federal Reserve, the 16th amendment (tax on labor) and the 17th amendment (which weakened the power of the States)as a three pronged skewerto bring this Country under the control of the Banksters. He knew exactly what he was doing...the problem is the Ajmerican people don't, and thus continue to move away from the Constitution instead of towards it simply because they do not know their history and the Constitution.
P.s. Ron Paul said he would support the fair tax, but there is a better way.
I see were the gestapo removed a comment by ken.

I thought it was great too. Very revealing.
Ken, R&T, "The Fair Tax" is actually a national consumption tax/sales tax. It is NOT a tax on labor. It is the most extensively researched piece of legislation to ever be submitted before congress. Millions of dollars and years of research have gone into this legislation. It completely eliminates and replaces the current tax code and the IRS. By the comments above I am assuming that neither of you are familiar with the plan. It is so revolutionary that if Ron Paul were to seriously imbrace it publically I would jump on his band wagon today, reguardless of his naive foreign policy. That is how transformative The Fair Tax is.
The FairTax is nonpartisan legislation (HR 25/S 13) that replaces personal and corporate income taxes, payroll taxes like Social Security and Medicare, estate, gift, capital gains, alternative minimum, and self-employment taxes.

It repeals the 16th amendment. It removes all embedded taxes from the cost of American made goods. It is simply and transparent. It eliminates taxes on all saving and investing. It would do more to save this country than a two term Ron Paul presidency. It takes power and control away from washington and gives it back to the people. That is why the RINOs and the washington establishment are afraid of it. They out right lie about it. They try to scare people about it by trying to confuse it with a flat tax. There is a lot of false rhetoric out there about it because it would completely reverse the ballance of power in America.
Ok...it seems we are all aware that Ron Paul has a better understanding of how to fix the economy than any of the candidates.

We provide Germany their military which is no small feet for the American Tax payer. We provide the troops, armaments, ships, planes, family housing, schools, hospitals, PX, Commissary, theater, country clubs, ext. Having grown up on military basis for most of my childhood, I know that foreign bases are far more lavish than homeland ones.
After WWII, it was understandable why we provided Germany's military. But they can now well afford their own, or at the very least, reimburse the American Tax payer for the cost of what we have provided for 66 years. We have closed many bases in the U.S., and are protecting everyone's borders except our own. There are foreign bases we may well need to keep open, but out of over 700 of these foreign bases, there are likely others that can better serve the American people by securing our own borders.
Can we agree on this much?
P.S. Jack, you are correct that fair tax is not a tax on labor, and that is one of the major reasons, Ron Paul is the only current candidate that says he would support it. However we also need to abolish many unconstitutional departments like the Department of Education....to lower taxes... Do you agree?

I agree that we should not be supplying the millitary for other nations, however, I believe we need to keep most of our bases throughout the world. We don't need to keep all of them and some of them should probably be moved and better strategically placed but closing all of them, packing up our toys and going home is not a good idea. We need to keep a strong millitary and we need to keep a strong world presence. It is imperative for the security of this country to have the presence and ability to respond rapidly to any threat this country may face anywhere in the world.
Globalist One World Order "Screw the USA" types like Gingrich are found at places like the Aspen Institute and other Socialist/Communist or Fascist "institutes" or think tanks. Move the rocks and there the snakes will be. We waste a LOT of time and are lured into DISTRACTION by arguing minutiae with people who are confused enough or brainwashed enough to support Gingrich, Romney, Obama etc. etc. We MUST hammer home the major and most critical of "points" -- these Political Globalists are pure, bold Anti-Americans who have sold their souls for money or political power. You can't compare these critters to Ron Paul in ANY way. There IS no comparison. We are arguing with people whose minds are filled with NOTHING but One World TV propaganda, and they do a wonderful job of luring us into arguing on their turf. When we argue back and forth on these points that seem important, we are pulled away from what should be the primary message: These Globalists Of Both Parties Are Destroying These United States!

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
