Ok, so who is the Tea Party backing for the Republican nomination? For President? I'm sure you all have done more reseach than I have, so I'd be interested in reading your opinions.

Personally Jack, the Tax Plan is actually one of the lesser points of this election.  Maybe you didn't catch it, but Gingrich is an Insider, and his intentions and his history and everything about him is geared to continuing the destruction that the USA is facing.  You are being distracted by nice little Sound and Video Clips or Talking Points that totally distract from the single most important issue here:  Gingrich is a Globalist.  Globalists are Anti-American.  They trip over themselves trying to bypass or destroy our Constitution.  There is only one man who supports Liberty and the Constitution of the USA.  That's Ron Paul.  The rests are Anti-American, Pro United Nations, Anti-American Sovereignty.  Ron Paul 2012.

Ken, R&T,  "The Fair Tax" is actually a national consumption tax/sales tax. It is NOT a tax on labor. It is the most extensively researched piece of legislation to ever be submitted before congress. Millions of dollars and years of research have gone into this legislation. It completely eliminates and replaces the current tax code and the IRS. By the comments above I am assuming that neither of you are familiar with the plan. It is so revolutionary that if Ron Paul were to seriously imbrace it publically I would jump on his band wagon today, reguardless of his naive foreign policy. That is how transformative The Fair Tax is.

The FairTax is nonpartisan legislation (HR 25/S 13) that replaces personal and corporate income taxes, payroll taxes like Social Security and Medicare, estate, gift, capital gains, alternative minimum, and self-employment taxes.

Well then you agree more with Ron Paul than you think.  I also believe that some of these Countries can help pay for these bases.  the following also concerns me:

As a military brat, I know that Pentagon suppliers are treated far better than our young men and women.  We regularly pay ridiculous prices for supplies ($50.00 for a strew driver is one of many examples).  At the end of the physical year very good remaining supplies are barred in the ground so as not to cause funding to be decreased for the following year. Paint, PCBs, Jet fuel, oil are among the buried items found at Cecil Field making it a major Super Fund clean up site.  The pollution contaminated the ground water on the east side of the base, and made its way into the St. Johns River. But there are numerous such incidences.  http://www.commondreams.org/views05/0327-21.htm

  http://cfpub.epa.gov/supercpad/cursites/csitinfo.cfm?id=0404743

But the sickening fact is that the Pentagon suppliers are better cared for than our troops.  They receive ridiculous prices for their services,  but our troops do not even have adequate bullet proof vests, and the wounded are inadequately cared for.  So I have to ask, could we not cut some of the spending to suppliers, and spend more to take better care of our troops? Could we in more cases use special ops instead of sending in foot soldiers to do so called peace missions which is nothing more than tying their hands behind their backs?

Thanks John.  I thought it was Cheney again.

Here is another example of how Pentagon corporations are better treated than our young men and women:

Halliburton was never prosecuted for this,  They simply changed their name, and continue business as usual.  Soldiers are returning home with many such tails, and this is one reason Ron Paul receives more donations from active duty troops than all of the other candidates combined (and that includes Obama of course)

A thought just came to me... it goes like this....

I LOVE Ron Paul.

I LOVE what he stands for, which is Liberty and the Constitution of the U.S.A.

Do you LOVE Gingrich?  Romney?  Will you LOVE Jeb Bush?

Just wondering.

Do you LOVE what is happening in the USA today and what has happened since 9/11?  Do you not see the "big picture"?  I see only one man who is standing up to the imported Tyranny we face today.  Ron Paul of course.  Who else dares to speak of Liberty?  The Constitution?

You can compose right here, then you have about 15 minutes to edit and correct it, I think.  I don't yet know how to get it to post where where I want it to, but I have corrected simple mistakes.  I don't know how to delete one either.

Ken:  You can start a blog of your own... I THINK that has to be done from your own "My Page".  You start a new response when you fill out the TOP FORM "Reply to This" and of course you "Reply" like you just did.  I hope you get some blogs going, you're an excellent writer and I like most of what you have to say.  Keep up the good work.  Bill J.

Jack, I'm well aware of what the Fair Tax is.  I was all for it until Cain came out with his 9-9-9 plan, which I personally thought was ridiculous for a number of reasons.   But, because he did I had to do some more research and what I realized, and had overlooked on the Fair Tax is that there is no provision for inflation.  Now, if you study economics, not the Communist devised Keynesian stuff, inflation really does exist.  Ask anyone who regularly goes to the grocery store.  Gas was up over $3.50 when I was out today.  I can remember buying that same gallon of gas for twenty seven cents for that same gallon back in the gas war days.

I bought my first brand new car. A Camaro convertible.  327 four on the floor Rally Sport.  Price $3,300.  Now pick any sales or consumption tax amount you want and add it in.  I would have had to finance whatever it you pick anyway because I had to finance the car.  So besides the consumption tax there is the bank interest on the sales tax.

While researching Cains tax plan I looked up the price of that same car today. Thirty six thousand.  Now add your consumption tax to that.  And the interest because now we are talking a much larger sum of money.

Was the price increase all inflation? Well no.  There is "regulation" cost and R&D to satisfy big government, unelected, unaccountable government agencies and employees.  But a lot of the jobs that were filled by humans building my first new car have been replaced by computer programs and robots.  So labor costs have dropped. The actual cost of production has dropped.  So most of it is inflation.  Now can you see the problem with the Fair Tax?

Another example.  You remember the AMT?  Alternative Minimum Tax some genius came up with to punish the evil rich people?  Now called the one per-centers?  That didn't have an inflation clause in it either.  Now most middle income people have to pay more to have their taxes done because you have to calculate your taxes with and without the AMT.

This is the big government that people for some reason seem to want to overlook.  Government will not give us a utopia, no matter how much you give them.  This is why I don't like the three remaining RINO's. And it's why I will not vote for any one of them.  Not a one of them will change the same-o same-o tax and spend government.  Not a one of them will stop nation building.  Not a one of them will stop starting wars.

Its past time for some real change.  And this may be the last chance we have to stop this runaway train from running right off the end of the tracks.

Aspen is funded by George Soro's Open Society Institute.  National Review wrote of them in 2006.

The many Republicans who participate in Aspen Institute's programs, trainings and speaking events.  Here's a list:

Tim Pawlenty, Newt Gingrich,  Mitt Romney, John McCain, Wisconsin Rep Paul Ryan, Florida Senator (and "Tea Party" candidate) Marco Rubio, Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, and Congressman Erik Paulsen (Paulsen was a Rodel Fellow at Aspen with Gabrielle Giffords),Former state Rep, Current U of M Regent Laura Brod. see documentation here: http://www.looktruenorth.com/limited-government/49-conservatism/158...

Ken, The Fair Tax, does away with the AMT along with over a dozen other different taxes. You may not know it but everything you currently buy that is made in America already has somewhere around 22-26% of added taxes embedding in its price. These taxes are added in to the price at every step of the manufacturing and production process. These taxes would dissapear, so the cost of everything made in America would drop in price by the % of taxes embedded in them through open market and competition forces. After which the very simple, open and transparent Fair Tax that is highly visable would be added of 23% bringing the cost of the products back up to virtually the same price. However the tax is now seen and not hiden. It would be paid by everybody reguardless if they are making their money legally or not. Iellegal aliens and even tourists would now be paying into our general tax fund broadening the tax base. Social security, medicaid and medicare would instantly be saved because they are paid for out of the general fund. So illegals and criminals would now be paying into these entitlement programs which they currently do not do. Those of us who work would instantly see a raise in our weekly pay checks because there would no longer be any withholdings what so ever. Except for those of us who work in states that have state income taxes but the Fair Tax also has provisions in it that would make it in these states best interest to stop these withholdings too. Furthermore, the 6.2% that your employer now pays into social security on your behalf that most people don't even think about, would come back to you as a raise in employees wages or benefits. That little fact would greatly offset any increase difference between removing the embedded taxes and adding the sales tax. It is a WIN WIN WIN for everybody who currently obeys our laws, plays by the rules and is here legally. Futhermore by dropping the current 35% corporate income tax down to 0%, all the manufacturing jobs that have been moving overseas for the last 50+ years would come running back to America. Contrary to popular belief it is NOT labor costs that drives businesses overseas. It is America's uncompetitive tax code. If we were to pass The Fair Tax all these jobs and businesses would come back ten fold. There are numerous studies to prove that fact. There really is no good reason or argument against The Fair Tax except that it transferes power and control from Washington back to the American people where it belongs.

As for Herman Cains 999 plan, it was the first step in his attempt to get rid of the tax code while he worked on repealing the 16th amendment and passing The Fair Tax. His intentions were clearly stated on his website. The only problem with The Fair Tax is that it is easily demagogued by politicians. The American people and the general public are going to have to be educated on it first. That is what Herman Cains 999 plan was suppose to help him get accomplished.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
