Landmarks Preservation Commission denies historic status to "ground zero mosque' building

Here's the article copied and pasted below from the OneNewsNow.com website. The panel voted unanimously to deny landmark status to the current building. That was the final " red tape" hurdle to allow the building of the "Cordoba Mosque" near ground zero. Guess all those emails, faxes, phone calls and marches fell on deaf ears and blind eyes.

NEW YORK  - A New York City panel has denied landmark status to a building near ground zero, freeing organizers to build an Islamic center and
mosque there.

The Landmarks Preservation Commission's decision allows organizers to transform the 152-year-old building into an Islamic community center
blocks from the site of the Sept. 11 attacks.

National and New York politicians and the Anti-Defamation League have come out in recent weeks against plans for the mosque, saying it
disrespects the memory of Sept. 11 victims. Mayor Michael
Bloomberg has supported the mosque.

The commission voted 9-0 against granting landmark status to the building.

Commissioners said the building didn't meet historic criteria to qualify as a landmark.

Another sad day for our country.
This is so disturbing. This is no less disrespectful than placing a Japanees Flg on Pearl Harbor. Where is the honor, respect and loyalty gone?! For those of you who read this don't think I am someone who is older... I'm only 30 and no I did not serve in the military.
NYC is beyond redemption.

"I view great cities as pestilential to the morals, the health and the liberties of man. True, they nourish some of the elegant arts; but the useful ones can thrive elsewhere; and less perfection in the others, with more health, virtue and freedom, would be my choice."

Thomas Jefferson
It is a dirty, rotten shame that these 9 people are more concerned about being politically correct, they are so afraid they might offend someone.
I take offense at the very thought that a Muslin mosque can be built in such close proximity to ground zero.
Have they no shame and do they know that the word Cordoba is a slap in the face of all that died there.
I guess there is no idea too radical for the 9 crazies on that panel.
May God have mercy on their souls.

I do not think that our throats was the correct orifice of entry for the crap that the new world order folks intend to use. In any event, we, as citizens and patriots, must find out who the organizations are that are supportive of a new world order agenda and summarily and persistently grossly boycott their businesses, picket their organizations, and get the word out to our fellow Americans. We must then use some stealth in business to bankrupt those businesses and organizations by voting with our wallets. Businesses that support the NWO agenda need to be identified and bankrupted as quickly as is possible. Gross negative exposure in the public media and on the internet will aid in their demise.
It appears that there is something rotten in the Big Apple. Maybe, it is the Big Apple itself that is rotten. To allow such a desecration of our nation should be criminal in nature.
With due respect to any patriot who happens tp be from NYC, it is where all the left leaning refugees from Europe settled. This, and the fact that large urban areas tend to attract people of a certain mindset, will pretty much assure that NYC will always be at odds with what they call the flyover country.
The prime reason the founders left us with the electoral college system was their perception of philosophical differences between urban and rural societies. They wanted the less densely populated areas to get a more equal shot at influencing national politics. The liberalism we face today is a product of the go along to get along, don't rock the boat outlook of urban beehive living. They see us as ignorant barbarians. truth is, people are just different, by nature and upbringing.
Our Constitution was intended to keep things working, to keep differences of opinion from causing damage. This can only work so long as everyone respects the Constitution, and it's obvious that we have a problem in that respect.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
