Vote Mike Hogan for Mayor. Last night at the FCTP forum, Mike showed he is ready for the job and doesn't get distracted with the same old political games. He has a simple 2 point plan that 'We the People' will remember when we are at the precincts: Lower taxes and cut wasteful spending. The voters will not remember a plan that has many points, this isn't the Obamacare legislation!! Keep it simple Mike and I look forward to seeing you fiscally restore our great city!!

I will vote for Mike for sure!

Mike Hogan for Mayor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He has the best qualifications as a Servant Leader.

Vision: Think about it.  Mike Hogan's 2 point plan is much more forward thinking than the other candidates itemized lists and is exactly what Duval County needs.

Character.  After being attacked by Mullaney's blistering closing statements during Thursday's FCTP forum, Mike Hogan said that he has ran for office 7 times during his political career, not once during those campaigns did he attack his opponent and he is not going to start with this campaign.  How about the attacks for receiving union endorsements.  Within days of receiving the FOP endorsement Hogan said he wishes the FOP hadn't walked away from the bargaining table with COJ.  One can imagine the thoughts that went through Nelson Cuba's mind.  Mike Hogan showed that he is as good as his word.  His 2 point plan is his promise.  There are no other promises.  He has since gained the Fire Fighters endorsement.

Coming forward with a proven business strategy, turning the other cheek to personal attacks, standing strong to his promise, and staying the course is the true grit vision and character this city needs.

My dad's specific plan is based off the principles of fiscal responsibility. It is a plan to Shrink Government and Grow Jobs. These are serious times and Jacksonville must have a mayor prepared with a real plan to get the city's financial house in order. Instead of criticizng a plan that would protect the taxpayers, you could read it and find out that his plan is all about cutting spending and putting Jacksonville in a spot to lower taxes. My dad is a proven conservative who won the right for Duval County highschoolers to say a prayer at their graduation and created the Homicide Unit as a Prosecutor and was named Florida's Prosecutor of the Year in 1991. My dad has worked to reduce the size of government by cutting taxes and freezing salaries and he can do it without being beholden to the city unions.

The Mullaney plan was read.  My earlier remarks remain.

I have not heard Mike Hogan specifically belittle or speak negatively of any endorsing body. There are some that he has chosen not to accept or seek only because he does not find himself aligned with their stated mission. This is proof that he is not willing to lower his standards solely for political gain.

I do not have a problem with Rick Mullaney not actively seeking the union endorsement. The argument could be made that he knew he would not get it as he had been the chief labor negotiator over the last several years. Given the public disputes between the current administration and the union bodies it would be hard to see the police and firefighters endorsing the person they have been at odds with over the serious pension issue. I do not say this to be negative of Mr. Mullaney, these are simply facts that have played out in the public eye over the last several years.

I do, however, have a problem with the thought that having the endorsement (police and fire) automatically makes one "beholden" to them. Does this hold true for every endorsing body or only the unions? This has been one of Mr. Mullaney's biggest campaign points. If this is how he feels, I would follow by asking who he is beholden to as he has sought and received the endorsement of other well known and respected organizations. I do not assume that Mr. Mullaney is beholden to any of the organizations he has been endorsed by but he has made it clear he believes an endorsement is only received with strings attached and promises made.

Everybody has skin in this game, police and firefighters are part of the community as much as anyone else. They want the best for their families and for their community. The current pension system has to be addressed, I am not saying otherwise. The police and firefighters are ready to be treated fairly and they have shown through their endorsement that Mike Hogan is someone they can trust and that alone is why they have decided to support him.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
