I can't even say how insane this sounds to me...............nothing more but another entitlement started and used on the youngest folks to get them on the path to expecting money from the government for everything.  Ludicrous!  Comments please.

From my perspective, we need to say a big thank you to both Councilmen Crescimbeni and Gulliford.  The state has now changed the laws regards these appointments, and our city council can make this change legally and should.  I think the group currently in charge have not done a good job, and it is time to replace them and get some fresh people and ideas and management of this fund.  What is you take?

Because of the dissention, this may be something folks need to take a look at and weigh in with the Governor, the mayor or both. Certainly, this is a goodly amount of money, and like many other things right now, we can't afford it!

This is quite interesting in several ways, but the most glaring is that this president and his cronies in the congress have us on a downward trajectory, and want us to stay there. Should we reach out and do what we should have done years and years ago, and make ourselves energy independent, we would see an economic resurgence beyond any proportion anyone could imagine.............................and that is not what Obama wants. My feeling on this is that democrats would really like to draw districts that all favor them rather than have districts that are fairly drawn.  I think, at this time, we are all sick of this mess which was in part brought about because of the fair districts law that many thought would get rid of gerry mandered districts...........

When I read this headline, my first thought was "so it is going to cost us more to get a new superintendent than we expect?" and sure enough, once you read the article you realize, you need to get a good grip on your wallet (as someone will soon be reaching in to take more of your dollars).

You will have to weigh in on this.  I favor some sort of temporary solution until a permanent one can be found to keep the ferry in operation, but I know others feel differently about who should do it!
