U.S. Chamber of Commerce appeal for folks to write to Obama about his denial for the keystone pipeline

Although the president has said he considered the time limit for a decision to be political and arbitrary..........I guess, my first response was "what".  This is a man who has started using as his slogan "we can't wait (for congress to act)", and one of his appointments was never even given to the senate, but he is given 3 months to make a decision on this, and it is too hard????  Obama has some serious credibility issues for me, and I hope if you have some time, you will write…

TU: Senate finishes its redistricting work

When you read this, you will be quite angry.  These folks totally ignored the vote by the people of the state for compact districts and had in mind eliminating all the gerrymandered districts.  For our Florida senators and representatives have kept all the gerrymandered districts in place totally, so what was the point of asking people what they wanted????  This is a travesty and certainly our representatives at the state level have totally ignored the wishes of the people.  They…

DAILY CALLER: Live free or die: either way, they’ll let you vote in New Hampshire

I have actually put 2 articles on this subject here, but have tried to separate them for you.  Very interesting and certainly Mr. Okeefe is still out there trying to change things (and I am grateful he is even if he uses some unconventional methods)!

You probably think a…

WND: Single state defies Obama detention plan, Rhode Island

Nullification at work in the State of Rhode Island and think other states should follow suit and pass similiar laws.  Rhode Island doesn't have this law on the books yet, but certainly has it in the works.  Wonder if Governor Scott will also put a bug in our legislators ears to get something like this done to protect the residents of Florida?

New law is 'repugnant to sensibilities' of founding…

Vision to America: Obama says US needs a new government

Obama keeps saying garbage about moving forward and things aren't the same etc., to justify making himself a dictator and changing our form of government, but the founders knew him well.  Here are some of the things Jefferson said:

Thomas Jefferson -

- I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of…

Bloomberg: Haley’s Picking Romney Shocks Tea Party Disrupting Republicans

All is not sweetness and light in South Carolina.  And this too is of concern to me, because it would appear that Haley did was all good Rino republicans do (don't even say the name McCain as the name makes me ill).  Haley talked a good game until it was time to put up or shut up.  She didn't put up; she compromised her conservative credentials away, and folks in SC feel they were deceived as she melded right into the "go along to get along" crowd................here in lies the…

Heritage: Regs, Spending Sink U.S. to 10th Place on Index of Economic Freedom

Please note that the changes downward are at an excellerated pace since the current person went to reside in the white house.   We must replace him and the sooner the better, but we must get someone who will change things for the better, so be careful everyone!  We can't afford to make any mistakes this time around.

TU: Council on new FOP contract: No comment

This is the second of these articles and this one was in the TU the day the contract was agreed on.  I had been led to understand council approval was not needed if they agreed, and fortunately, the city council must approve if the vote goes to accept the agreed upon contract.

TU: Council Mum on Police Contract

I wondered why we hadn't heard much on the union agreement.  Councilman Yarborough says it isn't final as yet as the folks haven't voted to accept or reject it which means the council members really can not talk about it as it may still end up in front of them.

Amer Spectator: Thank You, God, for Tim Tebow

I agree!  Thank God for bringing us this wonderful young man and a wonderful role model for young people.  We are blessed for once to have the buzz be about someone who isn't using drugs, alcohol or hurting animals, and I am grateful!

Curtis Lee: The City Can and Should Take Control of Jacksonville Police and Fire Pension Fund (PFPF)

Curtis Lee is a retired attorney, and a member of Concerned Taxpayers of Duval County, who has been involved in working with pension funds for literally years and our city pension for many years as well.   He has written articles and researched and documented the following which was sent to our city council for action.  Thus far, no action has been taken even though changes in the management of PFPF are not only called for but would be in the best…

Notes from: COJ Committee 12/8/2012 and Vote No on the impasse bill

We ask that anyone, within Duval County, who can come to city hall on Thursday at 9:30 AM, please come. We also are hoping you will either send the councilmen and women an…

The Patriot Update: Can Republicans Impeach Obama Over Recess Appointment?

Very interesting, and it is about time as well.  I hope an impeachment is in the offing.  I understand the senate members from both sides of the isle are very angry about this whole episode.  And where will this authoritarian tyrant stop if they do not stop him?

ATTENDANCE and COMMENTS PLEASE: Special City Council Meeting on Pensions, January 12, 2012

There is going to be a "special city council" meeting on January 12th which is this coming Thursday, beginning at 9:30 AM and going until all comments are made and the council has made some sort of decision on the police and fire pensions.  Mayor Brown, thankfully, rejected a special magistrate's suggested settlement which was actually worse for the city than what was already agreed upon by the mayor and the unions.  That, however, is not the reason I am posting today.

The time for…

10th Amendment Center: NDAA: Open Season for the Police State

I have also posted the video by Allen West, and I think it might be wise to also watch that as it is the flip side of this piece by the 10th Amendment Center.  This article brings up something I have grave concerns about and that is quite simply how others will read this and how law enforcement, the courts (certain judges depending on their political bent) and anyone else involved in an event that might invoke use of this legislation.  There in lies the problem with anything like…

FOX: Obama Bypasses Congress, Appoints 3 To Labor Board

And just in case you thought the usurper was happy with the one appointment he made earlier today, he also appointed 3 people to the labor relations board that the republicans planned to leave empty, so Obama cronies could not do any more damage using this board than they already have.

The Florida Senate: SB 576: Public-private Partnerships

If this doesn't scare you, it should.  It is further errosion of our free market system by trying to blur the lines and allow government to mandate what businesses do by pulling them into their web.

FOX: President Obama to Appoint Consumer Watchdog While Congress Is Out of Town

This is not something I can't comprehend.  The senate did not shut down for break as explained in the article.  They have kept people there to prevent this sort of thing from happening, and this man was already voted down (the senate did not have the 60 votes needed; it only got 53).  They are going to have to find a way to stop this man from taking the position because Obama does not have the authority, as far as I am concerned, to make this appointment at all, and we as a…

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
