RESPECT - We got a little bit, Baby!

Last night CNN hosted the first ever Tea Party debate with Tea Party Express and more than 150 tea party groups across the country.

It was a historic night and the Tea Party Movement was given the respect it deserves.  The staff at CNN did an excellent job!  The people behind the scenes who help those in front of the screens were professional, supportive and patriotic.  Those in front of the screen were too and willingly gave the tea party the microphone for the day.

Tea Party Express has spent nearly a year working with CNN on this debate.  The Florida Tea Party Group leaders helped fill the seats with Florida Tea Party Members.  Tea Party Express never took center stage and instead gave the applause to individual tea party groups nationwide.  Tea Party Express has proven their heart to the tea party groups and earned our respect for their hard work.

The candidates made sure they shook hands with attendees afterwards in the debate hall and at the After Debate Party.  From the conversations at the party, it appears there was no clear front runner but two were crossed off the list.  Huntsman came across as an elite politician and Ron Paul went over the top with blaming America for the 9/11 tragedy.  There will still be the strong Ron Paul supporters who will argue that point – but the tea party members have had enough with Mr. Paul.

Rick Perry took a beating for some of his policies and admitted he made some mistakes along the way.  Mitt still will not admit he was wrong about Romneycare.  The tea party is strong on wanting that apology but it seems we will not get it.  Santorum had a great moment when he called out Ron Paul on his 9/11 stance.  Cain plays the “Godfather” role well and the audience loves his answers.  Newt's one ling zingers are always fun.  Michelle knew more about Obamacare than anyone else on the stage and is adamant about repealing it in 2012.  The tea party stands with her on that issue.

We will be packing up and heading home today.  My feet hurt and we are exhausted.  But the good outweighs the bad.  We are proud of last night.  We hope America and those who called us names we did not deserve, saw who “we the tea” really are.  We are America and we are proud to be a part of this movement.  We will continue to stay together and work together to unseat President Obama and many of his far left friends in Congress.  It is our time now and we will not rest until America is returned to her Constitutional footing once again.

Thank you CNN, Tea Party Express, all the candidates and the tea party members from Florida and across the country.   Respect was the word of the night and it felt good to feel that again.  We will be singing this all the way home today and we hope you will join us in a chorus across America.  Respect.

God bless and safe travels.

@Steve murdering babies in the womb is murder. God's law. Many environmentalist go on campaign to  save baby sea turtles, put up protection for them and it's against the law to have lights on after a certain hour or to kill them and yet we can kill  babies in a womb, in our own bodies. What is wrong with this picture?

Isaiah 9:6-7  For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end., upon the throne of David and upon his Kingdom, to order it and to establish it with judgement and with justice from  henceforth even for ever.

One might askj what is sin? Well, I am so glad you asked.

James 4:17  So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.  Steve I hope this helps in understanding the comments that I shared with you.

There is a way that seems rigth to a man, but its end is the way of death. Proverbs 14:12

Here is a question for you do you believe that When one is born again, He enters into the Kingdom of God?  and if so who do you say is the King of that Kingdom which is a government? Something to think about. God established the government. Go back to Abraham and the 12 tribes and see how he established it. This was God's idea from the beginning Not mans. That is why when it isn't done in God's way we have the situation we are in today and Yes, We as Christians/believers MUST stand up and Speak out. We are to have Dominion over the Earth.

Proverbs 29:2  When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.   (Right thinking, Right living, Right believing, )

@Cindy

You are right abortion is immoral in my book as well and I'm not trying to defend abortion and I do believe the ones that have it are killing.  My argument is not if abortion is okay or not my problem is government forcing people to do things.  I'm going to assume if you are part of this group that you believe in freedom.  Freedom is only truly freedom when everyone is free to live according to their beliefs not the beliefs that are forced upon them by others.  When abortion was illegal it did not stop the problem of abortion it only made it more dangerous for the people that got them.  If you want to do something bad enough you are going to do it so outlawing abortion I'm sorry is not the answer.

You did say the answer though and that is teaching our children to wait for marriage because the abortion rate for married couples is almost 0.  Also we need to teach our children that abortion is wrong even if you are not married  And as a man that grew up without a father we need to especially teach our young men that if you screw up and you get someone pregnant you stand besides her and raise the baby.

You cannot stop people by simply outlawing something that is where the government has things wrong.  That is where people that truly love freedom should stand up and demand freedom not just for them and the things that they want to do but freedom for everyone.  If my actions don't encroach onto your person, liberty, or property than as far as I'm concerned you are free to do whatever you would like to.  If I don't like something I'm free to go the other way, turn off the TV, or in some other way block out what I don't like.

Jesus is not the government and our Constitution is not his word.  There are similarities between His word and our Constitution but they are not the same thing.  The Constitution is the law of the while His word is the supreme law.  Jesus does not care about government, building, things, or any of the sort he cares about his people.  The only thing that Jesus every say about government, well he says authority, is you are to listen to them because they have been given that power by God.  That still does not make Jesus government now it would be a much better government if more of the politicians had him I will agree with you on that.

I'm glad you are not offended many religious people I express my views to won't listen to me and get very angry, mean, and spiteful which I always find ironic since that goes against more of Jesus teaching then any of my views do.

In regard to Iraq water, yes this story should go to State elected folks that r really interested in protecting our troops, I will contact my State.  What I wonder tho if the shots the troops get were enough to protect them or not.  I do remem hearing a lot of soldiers were getting sick.  Shame on Halliburton (KBR).  If true, charges,  or at least outing them should be on the menu.

I have some issues with Ron Paul's statements concerning the war on radical islam but ahead of that make no mistake he is a HAWK and will do everything short of slapping his mother to insure the security of the U.S. . As opposed to obummer who would repeatedly slap his mother for a vote, uh I don't know really but I hear rumors. yeah rumors thats the ticket.

@ Ed Oertli,

I think we need to bring our troupes home from the Middle East. I think the wars are being fought for the benefit of oil companies and military contractors. We have plenty of oil and gas in the US, but the environmentalist and government won't allow drilling.

Your words "By all accounts at least 100,000 innocent civilians of those countries died."

I'm not sure if that statement is accurate. Where did you get those figures? Are people placing bombs and attacking our troupes innocent?

In regards to Ron Pauls statement that there haven't been any suicide bombings  until Americans were on their turf. That is an  out and out lie. Their have been suicide bombings in Israel for many many years prior to 9/11. I don't know where he gets his information from but that is what a Muslim is what the Islmanic  cult teaches. It teaches to Kill ALL Jews and Christians and they will recieve 72 virgins. It is an honor to the family when their children die for their moon god Allah!  Don't be deceived by Ron Pauls lack of understanding the real truths and the hatred and  murder in the hearts of the Islamic Belief system.  He also said that he doesn't think that we should stand with or help Israel.  This man is NOT a man with Spiritual understanding . He is a Liberal. I would put him in charge of the Feds and he would do awesome in that position but as far as THE PRESIDENT of the United States of American.  The answer is NO!!!     A resounding NO!!1!

Reading Ron Paul's books this year, for the first time, and listening to all the Republican Party candidates…  After this week's debate, and the agitated response of Rick Santorum to Dr Paul's answer about military and defense spending, I tracked down the 9-11 essay that Mr Santorum referred to:

It is short, maybe a two minute read in its entirety at

http://www.ronpaul.com/2011-09-11/ron-paul-on-911-ask-the-right-que...

For the life of me I can't find anything incorrect, inflammatory, in the piece, or "irresponsible" to quote Mr Santorum's word. If the truth is "irresponsible", well, so sorry.

The "exceptionalism" of which I am proud, has roots in the America of the early 1800s that young republic of freed people, described in the book of Alexis de Tocqueville- America is great because she is good…

Our greatness and more importantly our goodness, and the promise that brought humanity to our shore from all corners of the world, was not overseen by the bloated broken empire financed with play money that is our federal government today. No one but us can change that.

Discount the only candidate running for president who is willing to talk about hard questions and uncomfortable truths at your own peril. No wonder the media and establishment are scared of that presidency.

Our defence (offense) budget is sooo tiny compared to our waste on the Bush-Kennedy, "No child left behind", food stamps (or whatever the new spin name for free food is), section 8 FREE HOUSING, medicaid (free medical and subsistance for moochers and criminal invaders, etcetera.  I have yet to hear the call for criminal charges from the use of government job for personal wealth conversion (Barney Franfurter, Rainnes, Geitner, all upper management of goldman's sacks, J.P. Morgan (the FED) Stanley, on and on.  Where is Ron Paul on this issue?  I think the citizen's Gordian Knot society should take this one to fruition.  Break out the guilliotine!  It cured royalty in the past!

Billie, How do you define American exceptionalism? Do we have the right as an American Armed Force to occupy other countries 6,000 miles away and engage in an endless war for 10 years? By all accounts at least 100,000 innocent civilians of those countries died. I’m sure all of them had Families that were both grieving and angry. I have to agree with Ron Paul’s statement. If another nation’s troops and tanks occupied our streets for anytime, let alone for that long, the American people would not stand for it. This would create the similar volatile situation that we have experienced in both Iraq and Afghanistan. What Ron Paul said was exactly what Bin Laden himself and the other Terrorists actually gave as their own justification for the 9/11 attack.  Since that was their reason given, then how can that be a fault for speaking-out on this obvious truth? I know no one wants to hear the real logic/truth. Let’s not give them that excuse anymore. If we don’t change the way we engage to fight this sort of Terror, then history has proven to repeat itself.  Of course as you likely well know, we have had military opportunities under a previous administration to eliminate Bin Laden and others, but did not take the surgical approach.  You have to ask why. Why do we continue to put our troops in harms way, spend Trillions and occupy countries. A foreign policy change is really needed and Ron Paul has a plan. All the other candidates just offer the same old failed program and we can't afford them.

Ed - no one has shut down the debate.  The comments are flowing and it is a good healthy debate.  Just because I expressed something does not mean it represents the whole tea party.  those were my thoughts and many agree with me and some do not.  This is why the tea party is so great.  We can agree to disagree but at the end of the day - we will all come together with the candidate standing and going against Obama.  No shut down going on here.  As for Mr. Paul - I still stand on my statement.  When he said we were partially responsible for 9/11 - that was it for me.  I'm tired of Obama making excuses across the globe for American exceptionalism and when Paul said that it did not sit well.  That's my opinion only.  It does not reflect the tea party itself.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
