RESPECT - We got a little bit, Baby!

Last night CNN hosted the first ever Tea Party debate with Tea Party Express and more than 150 tea party groups across the country.

It was a historic night and the Tea Party Movement was given the respect it deserves.  The staff at CNN did an excellent job!  The people behind the scenes who help those in front of the screens were professional, supportive and patriotic.  Those in front of the screen were too and willingly gave the tea party the microphone for the day.

Tea Party Express has spent nearly a year working with CNN on this debate.  The Florida Tea Party Group leaders helped fill the seats with Florida Tea Party Members.  Tea Party Express never took center stage and instead gave the applause to individual tea party groups nationwide.  Tea Party Express has proven their heart to the tea party groups and earned our respect for their hard work.

The candidates made sure they shook hands with attendees afterwards in the debate hall and at the After Debate Party.  From the conversations at the party, it appears there was no clear front runner but two were crossed off the list.  Huntsman came across as an elite politician and Ron Paul went over the top with blaming America for the 9/11 tragedy.  There will still be the strong Ron Paul supporters who will argue that point – but the tea party members have had enough with Mr. Paul.

Rick Perry took a beating for some of his policies and admitted he made some mistakes along the way.  Mitt still will not admit he was wrong about Romneycare.  The tea party is strong on wanting that apology but it seems we will not get it.  Santorum had a great moment when he called out Ron Paul on his 9/11 stance.  Cain plays the “Godfather” role well and the audience loves his answers.  Newt's one ling zingers are always fun.  Michelle knew more about Obamacare than anyone else on the stage and is adamant about repealing it in 2012.  The tea party stands with her on that issue.

We will be packing up and heading home today.  My feet hurt and we are exhausted.  But the good outweighs the bad.  We are proud of last night.  We hope America and those who called us names we did not deserve, saw who “we the tea” really are.  We are America and we are proud to be a part of this movement.  We will continue to stay together and work together to unseat President Obama and many of his far left friends in Congress.  It is our time now and we will not rest until America is returned to her Constitutional footing once again.

Thank you CNN, Tea Party Express, all the candidates and the tea party members from Florida and across the country.   Respect was the word of the night and it felt good to feel that again.  We will be singing this all the way home today and we hope you will join us in a chorus across America.  Respect.

God bless and safe travels.

Nice comment Kurt!

I was thinking along those same lines after 9-11. We would have saved a lot of lives.

I was hoping for a question on the UN Agenda 21 plan, but I suspect the candidates would tip toe all around the question.

I was absolutely shocked that the panel of experts at the Heritage Foundation Luncheon Monday either did not know what it is or had very little knowledge about this UN takeover.

@Kurt

You have a point about Rand Paul's experience I just figured with him in there less of a chance of someone trying to kill his dad.  I don't know enough about Rubio yet but I do like what I have heard and seen so far.  If he was born in the US doesn't that make him a US citizen (sorry for my ignorance on the subject but not something that I ever cared enough to learn about since everyone I know was born in the US).

I agree I see it as a stretch too but look at what we have in office now and four years ago people said the same thing about him so I'm not giving up yet.  I know it is different since Obama has been bought and paid for but I am still hoping enough people in this country have woken up that we can get Mr. Paul elected.  I know he can beat Obama if we can get him past the primary hell I could probably beat Obama at this point if I was elected in the primary.

If he is elected Republicans will have no choice but to support him even if he is not for the wars they will have to get behind him to get Obama out and Ron Paul will be big will independents and even some more open minded Democrats especially due to his stance on the wars.

@Steve, not to disagree with Rand Paul as VP, but Marco actually has more experience than Rand. Marco has a problem with being a natural born citizen. Neither of his parents were citizens when he was born.

I would like to see Ron as Prez, also, but I trhink it's too far a stretch. Let him straighten crap out in DC as a major player in the next admin. and then Rand could be elected prez.

For anyone that would like to try and defend Perry on the HPV issue by saying that he only got $5,000 from Merck please read this article http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/perry-has-deep-financial-tie...

I especially like the part about a 1/3 of the way down that says this about his ties to Merck and their lobbyist Toomey "Toomey, who has declined requests for comment, has since helped found Make Us Great Again, a pro-Perry super PAC that can accept unlimited donations from corporations and wealthy donors. The group plans to raise as much as $55 million to help Perry compete for the GOP nomination, according to media reports." kind of blows that 5K thing out of the water.

Just goes to show what we were talking about earlier you have to not look so much at what they are saying but more so were their money is coming from because that is who they are going to work for and care about.  I would say this disqualifies Perry in my mind but he was out before he got in to me.

Kurt has it right.  All of the terrorist oriented "nations" seeking nuclear weapons/the capacity to build them should have been presented with a thermonuclear device of the most extreme intensity.  I have been on the ground (as opposed to the twentieth floor of the Hilton) in almost every muslim country from Morrocco to Malaysia and I positively am able to verify to you, who have not been lucky enough to do so, that there is no love for Christians in these countries.  No muslim has any appreciation for anything Christians do and a great percentage intensely hate us.  They are culturally oriented to take what they are able to receive from you and then discard you, preferrably as a corpse.  They have no concept of obligation and are the original owners of the attitude, "what have you done for me lately".  There is no redeeming quality abouyt them and they are all taught by their mothers this concept.  I believe a policy of "pest control" should be implemented with the first move to "stop feeding the problem".  It would be a good place for "personal responsibility" to be implemented.

I still want Ron Paul as president

Rand Paul-Vice President

Herman Cain as Secretary of Treasury

Someone with some balls as Secretary of Defense

Not sure about the rest of them.

Speaking of Vice President who would everyone like to see as VP.  I know a lot of people want Rubio which I do like him but I would like to see him get some more experience before we put him into a position like VP.

IT's funny we think along the same lines.

I have been looking at those on the stage for debates and thinking, "Oh, my God, what a team to lead this nation." and have been putting that team together. I think Ron Paul should be BOTH Secretary of Treasury AND Chairman of Federal Reserve.

I think I might pick Donald Trump for Secretary of State.

Kurt for secretary of defense.

I think Paul would have gone after the ACTUAL perpetrators of 9/11, not used it as an excuse to increase our presence in the over-all mid-east, as was done.

Sending Americans to the enemy for them to kill and become martyrs doing it, is EXACTLY what they wanted. They could, and can, kill Americans without even figuring a way to get HERE to do it.

Instead of sending troops to Afghanistan and Iraq, we should have levelled a few cities, where the support was coming from, and then simply told them, "Your move, do you really want to play?"

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
