RESPECT - We got a little bit, Baby!

Last night CNN hosted the first ever Tea Party debate with Tea Party Express and more than 150 tea party groups across the country.

It was a historic night and the Tea Party Movement was given the respect it deserves.  The staff at CNN did an excellent job!  The people behind the scenes who help those in front of the screens were professional, supportive and patriotic.  Those in front of the screen were too and willingly gave the tea party the microphone for the day.

Tea Party Express has spent nearly a year working with CNN on this debate.  The Florida Tea Party Group leaders helped fill the seats with Florida Tea Party Members.  Tea Party Express never took center stage and instead gave the applause to individual tea party groups nationwide.  Tea Party Express has proven their heart to the tea party groups and earned our respect for their hard work.

The candidates made sure they shook hands with attendees afterwards in the debate hall and at the After Debate Party.  From the conversations at the party, it appears there was no clear front runner but two were crossed off the list.  Huntsman came across as an elite politician and Ron Paul went over the top with blaming America for the 9/11 tragedy.  There will still be the strong Ron Paul supporters who will argue that point – but the tea party members have had enough with Mr. Paul.

Rick Perry took a beating for some of his policies and admitted he made some mistakes along the way.  Mitt still will not admit he was wrong about Romneycare.  The tea party is strong on wanting that apology but it seems we will not get it.  Santorum had a great moment when he called out Ron Paul on his 9/11 stance.  Cain plays the “Godfather” role well and the audience loves his answers.  Newt's one ling zingers are always fun.  Michelle knew more about Obamacare than anyone else on the stage and is adamant about repealing it in 2012.  The tea party stands with her on that issue.

We will be packing up and heading home today.  My feet hurt and we are exhausted.  But the good outweighs the bad.  We are proud of last night.  We hope America and those who called us names we did not deserve, saw who “we the tea” really are.  We are America and we are proud to be a part of this movement.  We will continue to stay together and work together to unseat President Obama and many of his far left friends in Congress.  It is our time now and we will not rest until America is returned to her Constitutional footing once again.

Thank you CNN, Tea Party Express, all the candidates and the tea party members from Florida and across the country.   Respect was the word of the night and it felt good to feel that again.  We will be singing this all the way home today and we hope you will join us in a chorus across America.  Respect.

God bless and safe travels.

Billie, After having personally met with you on two occasions I believe that you are a sincere and hardworking patriot. I must, however, disagree with your opinion of Ron Paul. I respectfully ask that you please review the interview with Dr. Steve Pieczenik that I have provided. Dr. Pieczenik is a Medical Doctor and military covert operations advisor that has served multiple US Presidents and still teaches at the Army War College. He has advised Tom Clancey on many of his best selling books and has produced numerous movies based on Clancey's books. The interview is a long one but the information that I would ask you to consider is found around the nine minute mark in the video. Dr Pieczenik shares the same conclusion with Ron Paul that 911 was a "false flag, stand down" and that a military General friend told him so. He is also willing to testify to this in a court of law and I suggest that we jointly ask him to do so. Here is the YouTube link for your consideration:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjtNiTm99e8

" We as Americans are some of the most generous people in the world and when we have the ability to do so we help people out and if the government was out of our business and pockets we would be able to do that much more often." - Steve Tikas

As we did for centuries, before the government decided they could buy votes and influence by taking it over and forcing us to pay.

@Carole yes I think on a federal level we should not be in the business of all of these things but as humans we should be ready, willing, and able to help other people when natural disasters happen.  I'm not saying you were saying not to help as people.  There are so many things that people have taken for granted that our federal government should do and if the government didn't do it no one would be able to.

Like the question to Ron Paul last night about the person that has an accident.  The premise of the question is off.  The moderator made it sound like if the federal government didn't step in that the man that had the accident would have had no other option but to die.  We as Americans are some of the most generous people in the world and when we have the ability to do so we help people out and if the government was out of our business and pockets we would be able to do that much more often.

What does it cost us to have thousands of military intallations, around the world, and how do they protect Americans?

What has it cost us to be the free world's military, when the rest of the "free world" spends nothing on their own defense and nothing to us for defending them?

This single set of expenditures, in blood and wealth, so overshadows "foreign aid" as to make it a non-existant glich on the radar screen!

We help in natural disasters because that is who we are and we are them. Americans are all the peoples of the world and we can't stand to see our brothers and sisters suffer.

Forced altruism to support the worthless is an entirely different matter.

Just think of how hi-tech our military would be if we focused more on technology then policing the world.  With that technology we would be able to better police our border and make sure that no one could attack us in our country which is what our military should do instead of trying to protect everyone else in the world.

I'm all for isolationism!! They all hate us - want us out of their business - I say let's give em what they want!  And that includes foreign aid, help with national disasters, etc.  How do you like us now?

Even though he was an early progressive, I like Teddy Roosevelt's attitude. Speak softly and carry a big stick.

Just because Ron Paul, and many, many others, believe we should mind our own business does not mean they think we should cowar from the world. Ron Paul has never said he would not have responded to 9/11. He disagrees with HOW we have responded. The lives and wealth lost versus the gains for our national security and national interests don't add up. Maybe we would have been far better off figuring out the Taliban and Al Qaeda strongholds training centers and hold outs and simply completely leveled them all. To think we can make Afghanistan into a modern, peace loving, middle class republic, who will support American interests in the region is far more "out there" than ANYTHING Ron Paul has said.

How can anyone defend the HSA, their tactics and destruction of our liberty as anything other than "security theater?" How are we safer or more free? I'd say they played right into radical Islam's hand by adversely effecting the lives of EVERY American.

I think we should have maintained our isolationism before WWII actually.  I don't think we ever should have gotten into the business of being the world's police force which is what we currently are.  As far as Islamic terrorism I do think that if we had kept our nose out of their business for a long time before 9/11 if they were around, which is questionable, we would not be the main focus of their rage.  From our involvement in Iran to helping Osama Bin Laden fight against the Russians we have been involved in their affairs for a very long time which is why we are the main focus of their anger.

Look at the country of Switzerland and tell me that isolationism does not work.  When was the last time you heard of anyone attacking them in any way and it is because they keep their nose out of other countries affairs.

Just like we as Americans want the government to stay out of our business other countries, and more importantly the people in those countries, want us to stay out of their business.  The bigger government gets in our lives and in the world the more pissed off people you will find fighting against them.  People, and this goes for everyone I believe, do not like outside forcing trying to influence their lives.

I read that Pawlenty is throwing his support behind Romney and both are anti-gun?

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
