Last night CNN hosted the first ever Tea Party debate with Tea Party Express and more than 150 tea party groups across the country.
It was a historic night and the Tea Party Movement was given the respect it deserves. The staff at CNN did an excellent job! The people behind the scenes who help those in front of the screens were professional, supportive and patriotic. Those in front of the screen were too and willingly gave the tea party the microphone for the day.
Tea Party Express has spent nearly a year working with CNN on this debate. The Florida Tea Party Group leaders helped fill the seats with Florida Tea Party Members. Tea Party Express never took center stage and instead gave the applause to individual tea party groups nationwide. Tea Party Express has proven their heart to the tea party groups and earned our respect for their hard work.
The candidates made sure they shook hands with attendees afterwards in the debate hall and at the After Debate Party. From the conversations at the party, it appears there was no clear front runner but two were crossed off the list. Huntsman came across as an elite politician and Ron Paul went over the top with blaming America for the 9/11 tragedy. There will still be the strong Ron Paul supporters who will argue that point – but the tea party members have had enough with Mr. Paul.
Rick Perry took a beating for some of his policies and admitted he made some mistakes along the way. Mitt still will not admit he was wrong about Romneycare. The tea party is strong on wanting that apology but it seems we will not get it. Santorum had a great moment when he called out Ron Paul on his 9/11 stance. Cain plays the “Godfather” role well and the audience loves his answers. Newt's one ling zingers are always fun. Michelle knew more about Obamacare than anyone else on the stage and is adamant about repealing it in 2012. The tea party stands with her on that issue.
We will be packing up and heading home today. My feet hurt and we are exhausted. But the good outweighs the bad. We are proud of last night. We hope America and those who called us names we did not deserve, saw who “we the tea” really are. We are America and we are proud to be a part of this movement. We will continue to stay together and work together to unseat President Obama and many of his far left friends in Congress. It is our time now and we will not rest until America is returned to her Constitutional footing once again.
Thank you CNN, Tea Party Express, all the candidates and the tea party members from Florida and across the country. Respect was the word of the night and it felt good to feel that again. We will be singing this all the way home today and we hope you will join us in a chorus across America. Respect.
God bless and safe travels.

Mrs. Tucker I feel honored that you comment on my post I respect what you have done here in Jacksonville. Thank you for the video as I did learn a few things. The video shows that our founding fathers where religious men which I even said that they were (starts on the fourth line down). Nothing in this video says anything about laws passed to force religion, prayer, or anything else onto people. The man in the video while he is talking about the first bible (at 1:20 second into the video) he say they wanted voluntary prayer which I also said in my comment that our children should be free to pray during breaks if they want to. I also think that Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, and all other children should be free to pray as long as it doesn't conflict with the course of the school day but if it is on breaks more power to them.
The video doesn't say anything about why these same highly religious men did not specifically put anything in the Constitution about a national religion. These men where highly religious but they also understood that if you want a free nation all people have to be free to live in accordance to their beliefs. Nothing in this has changed my views that if we want to have real freedom people need to be free to live their life in accordance to their beliefs and the government is not there to make laws instituting religion.
Our Constitution not only protect other religions but in the end, if adhered to, it will protects us as Christians. Everyone has read how overseas the Muslim people are far out-breeding the natives of that nation. Think if that happened here and all of a sudden Christian were in the minority. If we demand that our Constitution be followed there is no chance that if/when Muslims outnumber us that they can pass laws that stop us from meeting as we as Christians see fit.
Look at the book of revelations and how it speaks of a time when the antichrist will dominate and we as Christians have to meet in hiding. If we want to maintain our freedoms we need to demand freedom of others to worship and live as they see fit. This is accord with not only our Constitution but also the bible. I have said repeatedly that God is love, government is force, force is the opposite of love.
I'm sorry Mrs. Tucker but this video doesn't do anything to change my view and if anything reaffirms what I said about our founding fathers and making laws instituting religion.
Hi Steve: Take a look at this video about the Christian values showing up all over Washington DC. Let me know your thoughts after you watch it. Thanks.
@Cindy
That is a fallacy that this country is built on Christian values. The word God is used once in our founding documents and the word Creator is also used one time. The one time it uses the word God is in regards to Nature's God not to Christian God or any specific God (both times are in the Declaration of Independence). I'm not saying the founding fathers were not by and large Christians but there is a reason why they did not say that Christianity is our national religion because as a country we are not to have a national religion. Religion is a personal belief not something that should be forced onto everyone in a free society.
I have been very clear that personally I believe in Jesus Christ as the one and only son of the Living God and the only way to get to Heaven but that doesn't make me think that I should force it onto anyone else. If you read about Ron Paul he is very spiritual and has a very strong belief in God he just doesn't throw it around like the rest of them. He feels that cheapens its. Here is a link to a page that has a video you can hear his views for yourself http://archive.theamericanview.com/index.php?id=898 Please also listen very closely to what he says about force being against the bible and how using the government for anything is inherently the use of force. This is what many religious people forget we are to live in accord with love, as God is the embodiment of love, and forcing someone to do something is the total opposite of love which means it is in opposition to God.
That is way I don't believe that Michelle Bachmann is a strict Constitutionalists because you are right and she would try force her religion down everyone's throat and sorry that is not in line with the Constitution. I don't think that children should be forced to pray in school now I also think that if the children wants to pray on their own time they should be able to do that. If anyone would like to show me where in our founding documents it gives us the Constitutional right to force any religion on anyone please let me know.
@ Steve,
The reason that I personally have am about Michele Bachmann is her belief system and her understanding that we MUST support Israel. It is about her personal convictions that align up with mine. As a Christian, mother, grandmother and A woman. She has the fortitude and the forthwithal to do what she says she will do. Her passions are my passions. She will clean house and I don't doubt that for a second. She will also bring back God into our Country. That is what Ron Paul doesn't seem to understand. We are Judea/ Christian nation. Founded on In God WE TRUST! I do not believe that is Ron Paul's belief. We don't want to anyone from practicing their religion but we also won't recognize it as a nation. Such as Roma don, or Kwanza etc. This is UN AMERICAN! If someone has an issue with they that are free to LEAVE America! We don't conform. No one will be killed for their belief and as I stated they can practice it but we as a Nation will not recognize it as A national holiday or to be honored. Our NATIVE tongue is ENGLISH. Our signs, bill boards etc should be in English. Those who want to live in the US learn to speak ENGLISH not the other way around. To bring prayer back in our schools. etc. I don't believe that Ron Paul is about that at all. He is for freedoms without setting Godly standards. I hope that I have explained this in clarity. Thanks for asking . I appreciate you asking to understand. Blessings
@Cindy
Well it is always nice when we can agree on something and I would be okay with Bachmann but anyone that supports our overseas policy is not a true Constitutionist. You really sound like you are all for the Constitution so I don't understand why you don't like Ron Paul or what your problem is with him. He is the most Constitutional person on the stage and has 20+ years in Congress to prove it. Bachmann has done good for her time and I really do like her will to do things that are unpopular but she doesn't not have that kind of record to stand behind. I'm not trying to get you to change your view I'm just trying to understand why you love Bachmann but don't seem to have the same feelings for Ron Paul even though he is everything that you like about Bachmann.
I do see your part Juan in that he doesn't have the clout because what he says is so unpopular and he has already said he is not going to legislate by executive order. I do think in a way he has more clout then some of the other GOP nominees in that he has worked with both parties on certain issues where the GOP field has spent the last four years towing the GOP line. So now anything that any of them put up is going to be blocked by the GOP. They will have the votes in the house to probably do what they want but they are not going to get to 60 votes in the Senate so they will still have to work. That is a good thing though anytime you have one party in total control bad things happen that is the reason we have more then one party. That is the reason we really need more then two parties but that is a topic for another time.
I offer a "CARTOON" featuring one of the most popular cast currently on TV. Its one you need to make certain your kids watch it, because they're the ones that will have to pay for this. I have been a student of this subject matter that started out most notably "Irwin Shiff" of "Show me the Law" fame (and father of financial guru, Peter Schiff); and Bill Bentson of "The Law That Never Was", The only book banned by the U.S. Government because of its historically proven facts that the 16th Amendment was never "LEGALLY" PASSED.
I put nothing past Obama like I said he might not know how to run a country but him and his team know how to run, and win, a campaign. He will stop at nothing and do whatever he has to in order to maintain his position of power.
The election is for the Republicans to lose but just like I know Obama will do what he can to win I don't have a lot of faith in the majority of the GOP field doing what it has to in order to win. I don't mean anything dishonest that would make them no better then Obama.
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
