Last night CNN hosted the first ever Tea Party debate with Tea Party Express and more than 150 tea party groups across the country.
It was a historic night and the Tea Party Movement was given the respect it deserves. The staff at CNN did an excellent job! The people behind the scenes who help those in front of the screens were professional, supportive and patriotic. Those in front of the screen were too and willingly gave the tea party the microphone for the day.
Tea Party Express has spent nearly a year working with CNN on this debate. The Florida Tea Party Group leaders helped fill the seats with Florida Tea Party Members. Tea Party Express never took center stage and instead gave the applause to individual tea party groups nationwide. Tea Party Express has proven their heart to the tea party groups and earned our respect for their hard work.
The candidates made sure they shook hands with attendees afterwards in the debate hall and at the After Debate Party. From the conversations at the party, it appears there was no clear front runner but two were crossed off the list. Huntsman came across as an elite politician and Ron Paul went over the top with blaming America for the 9/11 tragedy. There will still be the strong Ron Paul supporters who will argue that point – but the tea party members have had enough with Mr. Paul.
Rick Perry took a beating for some of his policies and admitted he made some mistakes along the way. Mitt still will not admit he was wrong about Romneycare. The tea party is strong on wanting that apology but it seems we will not get it. Santorum had a great moment when he called out Ron Paul on his 9/11 stance. Cain plays the “Godfather” role well and the audience loves his answers. Newt's one ling zingers are always fun. Michelle knew more about Obamacare than anyone else on the stage and is adamant about repealing it in 2012. The tea party stands with her on that issue.
We will be packing up and heading home today. My feet hurt and we are exhausted. But the good outweighs the bad. We are proud of last night. We hope America and those who called us names we did not deserve, saw who “we the tea” really are. We are America and we are proud to be a part of this movement. We will continue to stay together and work together to unseat President Obama and many of his far left friends in Congress. It is our time now and we will not rest until America is returned to her Constitutional footing once again.
Thank you CNN, Tea Party Express, all the candidates and the tea party members from Florida and across the country. Respect was the word of the night and it felt good to feel that again. We will be singing this all the way home today and we hope you will join us in a chorus across America. Respect.
God bless and safe travels.

Yes Steve,
I know your are correct. Sometimes I feel like we are just pawns. I hate it! In the end this isn't my home anyway. I am just passin through and where I can I try to make a difference. This is NOT my home. I hear you.. God Bless
I'm understand you are following your heart which is what I will do by voting for whoever the GOP nominee is. The sad thing is that in the end I really don't think we are going to be listened to. We are going to get Perry or Romney and neither of these two men represent the Tea Party they only represent the status qua of government as usual. We have had government as usual for too many years and look what that has gotten us and based on how hard the media is pushing those two men that is what we are going to get again.
To many people will only vote for one of the front runners in the primary because they want to feel like they voted for the winner. That is why I made the comment if you think Ron Paul is the best man for the job and you don't vote for him you are part of the problem. Don't vote for one of these hacks just because they are in front based on a poll that is done by the same people trying to promote them.
I read a news article today from CBS about how Ron Paul flies in a private jet so he is an elitist. They failed to mention that he has spent 400K total on all his travel expenses including the jet while Perry is trying to find a way to get out of showing how much he spent and Romney has spent $5 million to date but somehow Ron Paul is the elitist. They are trying to push people to the ones they want in office.
@ Lee, Yes Sarah Rocks! Hope to meet her also while I am there.
@ Jean it is amazing what would cause you to loose respect for a person. I respect those who DO TELL THE TRUTH. Perry did many unethical and against our Constitution actions.
Not just the Gardisol to 6th grade girls only, (It is also for boys) but also not closing our boarders, building a train to go nowhere. His involvement with Gore, meeting at the Bildebergers and Wasting tax payers Monies and lets not forget about him trying to abolish the 10th amendment . If he showed this kind of behavior as a governor and thought he was God how much more will he do as A President. I shake in my shoes of even the thought. Sick and tired of RINO'S and wolves in sheep's clothing.
I'm sorry I don't mean this to sound rude but for anyone that says Ron Paul is the best man for the job but you won't support him because 'he is not electable' you are part of the problem. You continue to allow the media to dictate who is going to be put into power which only makes it harder for real change to be accomplished.
Michelle Bachmann is just another politician (I will say out of all the politicians I do like and respect her the most but that is not saying that much) as is Sarah Palin. Palin, like you said is circling around, trying to figure out if she should run. If you think you are right for this country get into the game if you lose you lose but to do otherwise is just political calculation and nothing more which makes you no better then Obama in my eyes.
Ron Paul can win he is going to have all of the GOP support if for no other reason then he is not Obama. In addition to that he will pull in the anti-war Dems, a huge amount of independents that will be drawn to him if for nothing else because he is honest. The rest of the voters aren't going to vote Republican regardless of who is on the ballot.
I do agree with Christy that whoever is elected we al need to support. As much as I dislike all of the other candidates I will still vote for whoever we put up for the nominee.
She didn't demonize anyone! She spoke the truth and the facts.
Since when did Speaking the truth become demonizing oh Yes when one doesn't want to hear the truth. My My... The Truth will set one free... Michele didn't loose anything . People will allow themselves to be deceived by other peoples words. You just played into Jean by your response. Be apart of the solution NOT the Problem. God Bless
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
