Out here in America, we are watching the worst of the worst in our Nation’s capitol. The debate between “both sides of the aisle” took a dive as our children watched adults scream, yell, throw fits and call the others names. It was not just embarrassing; it was heartbreaking to realize thuggish teenagers were in charge of the greatest nation in the world.
Joe Biden, the media and all the other talking heads in DC have once again used bullying tactics instead of professional debating techniques in their negotiations. Calling someone names is a sign of weakness and you think they would know that. But again we think they should know a lot of things such as the rule of law and other simple things like that and they don’t.
We’ve been called ignorant, racists, hobbits and the most recent one – terrorists. Their name calling would be considered bullying outside the bubble of DC. (Fyi… – the American people are outside the DC bubble and when you speak words of hate, you send them to us wrapped up in hopelessness and frustration.) The irony of all this is those who called Tea Party Members “terrorists” are the same ones who write speeches, pass legislation and create programs for anti-bullying campaigns. For instance, did you know:
In all their speeches, seminars and videos, they tell those who are being bullied to Stand Up and Tell Someone. So here we are.
The Tea Party Members in DC and out here in America are standing up and telling you that calling us names such as racists, hobbits and terrorists must stop and it must stop now. Name calling is bullying and in the words of Vice President Biden, “you are the inferior ones” for using these tactics.
If Joe called me today, I would ask him this question: Would you call your mother a terrorist? Do you know how many mothers and grandmothers are involved in the Tea Party Movement of America? From our research, we believe at least a million. Most of them are white-haired, sweet women who knit, cook for their families and bake pies for sick friends. They worked hard all their lives. They took care of their families without asking you to do anything for them. They sacrificed sons to fight your wars. They set up organizations to help the military, the homeless and battered women. They drove neighborhood children to soccer practice and they broke up fights between friends on the school yard. They saved for their retirement and trusted the government to give back their Social Security benefits taken out of their paychecks all those years. When they saw our country in financial ruin, they stood up to their government and said “Enough of that, boys. We have to clean up this mess.”
Calling Grandma a terrorist is about as low as one can go, Joe. If we lived in times when men were men, you would be taken to the woodshed for this behavior and then made to apologize. The media would be standing in line to get their punishment too for inciting hate instead of reporting news as a real journalist would do. The media would issue an apology and the one who called Grandma a terrorist would be suspended.
The Tea Party is comprised of great American patriots who are deeply concerned about the welfare of our country and have a right to speak up about their concerns. Just because you don’t like what they have to say doesn’t mean you resort to name-calling.
As Obama said, “As a nation, we're founded on the belief that all of us are equal and each of us deserves the freedom to pursue our own version of happiness." The Tea Party is pursuing a long held standard of American “entitlements” which are: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Too bad you are uncomfortable with these entitlements – they are ours and we plan to protect them. Got that?
Children watch adults and imitate them. Our children are watching you and what they are seeing is disgusting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xlaAkD15Gk
Here’s a thought: How about being a better role model for the future generation.
Why?
First, it’s the right thing to do.
Second, real men apologize.
A sincere apology is in order. The Tea Party Grandmas in America deserve nothing less. We await your call.

Call me or the tea party whatever you like, it doesn't matter to me. Really. I will not be a victim. Sticks and stones and such. Who really cares?
The entitlements of life, liberty and the pursuit are fine, keep them. Please however do me just one small teeny weeny favor, itsy -bitsy actually. Stop asking me to pay for Medicare, no one in the government has ever, ever, ever put forth a single notion that it will be around in 35 years when I need it. No one here, has ever said they are willing to fund Medicare at rate that would enable it to be solvent in thirty five years, when by age 70 I might actually need some medical attention.
I hate Obamacare and Medicare equally because they are the same thing, government control of health care. There is no difference. We don't want to pay for it nor do we have the courage to end it. But we have to choose between one or the other. If you are receiving Medicare and you think it is good, then tell Congress to get busy growing a spine because they are going to have to ask Americans for a whole lot of money tp pay for it. If you like it but don't want to raise taxes in order to pay for it, then you are against it, or you are not being honest intellectually. Or you just may be greedy, and say it is all good so long as I get mine and I will be dead 20 years before this bill comes due, see ya suckers.
Taxation without representation. The Tea Party is in part, founded on this principle. The following are comments from Bob Eisenbeis, from Cumberland Advisors. Couldn't have said it better myself.
Perhaps the group that deserves the most criticism is the recipients of entitlements, and in particular Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. These are mainly the elderly and, to be totally transparent, that group includes me and some of my Cumberland colleagues. To be sure, we relied upon payments promised to us by legislators long departed, who didn’t put in place the necessary funding to deliver on those promises. We relied upon the promises and despite the many warnings we failed in many cases to provide sufficiently for our own retirement and healthcare needs.
Our predecessors created a Ponzi scheme that would make Bernie Madoff proud. They pledged tax revenues to be collected from future generations under the assumption that the population would continue to grow and that more people would always be available to fund the programs. This is just like assuming that housing prices will always go up, and we know what that is costing us. Now, however, the pool of future taxpayers is smaller than the present one, and the burdens they must assume are proportionately greater. In short, this is “taxation without representation.”
The current recipients claim they have paid into the plan, which they have. But their payments were not contributions that prefunded their own retirements or their need for medical services. Rather they were part of a pay-as-you-go scheme. Their tax payments were given to those who already retired or had medical needs. Now, the present generation of retirement age also refuses to recognize this problem, which is on track to absorb the whole of projected government revenues and then some. Instead we seek to do what our parents did by passing on an even more burdensome set of obligations to our children and grandchildren.
If this isn’t “taxation without representation” then I don’t know what is. We are making commitments today for those who will have to pay but who do not have a say in what those burdens are. Not only does this go against the grain of the sentiments that helped to trigger the American Revolution, it is also naïve to think that future generations will continue to honor promises made by past generations. What makes us believe they won’t simply decide to renege on the promises we have forced upon them when the choice might be whether or not to put food on the table for their own families?
We can’t continue to grow government and transfer payments forever, and the time to address those issues is now, while they are still manageable. Nor can we avoid the problem by cutting only discretionary spending, as is the approach in the current deficit agreement.
Unfortunately, the course taken by the leaders of both parties and the administration fails on all counts. They have placed us on the risky path of financial fragility rather than stability. A ratings downgrade might be the needed wake-up call for the country, our politicians and its senior citizens.
When the Going Gets Tough --- The Tough Get Going ! --- It's time to HUNKER DOWN and take it to them ! They are Liars and Thieves. If you think I'm wrong, you can say so !
That's what this is all about ! --- Stand up and be counted --- Stand for SOMETHING ! --- VOTE them
OUT !!!
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
