The left is out in force with the stupid statement that we are suppressing voters by asking them to show ID. This is outrageous which is not surprising because the left is always outrageous. Read about it here:

In good faith, we are putting together a list of places you have to show your ID. Would you please reply in the comments section of this blog and we will gather them together for a special video that will be sent virally.
Here's the first one sent in by Bartley -- "I have to show my license just to buy sudafed for my allergies. But not for voting! Hot dang! That makes total sense!"

The only reason I can think of that someone would not want to show an ID is if they have something to hide.

Whenever I use my credit card I have to show my DL for ID. This government is getting totally out of control of the citizens and it must stop.

You must show identification to the Notary Public whenever you have a document notarized. The only exception to this is when you are personally known to the Notary. Even then, many notaries will ask for identification simply for documentation purposes.

In need of a passport, the requirements are to present 2 pictures and proof of your birth certificate if you are born in the U.S.A.; and if a naturalized citizen - proof of your original certificate. I believe that the law requires you to be a citizen of the U.S.A. or a legally naturalized citizen in order to vote. All citizens are ready to present an ID for anything, why not present it at the voting polls? People without an ID should not be able to vote - PERIOD! If you allow anyone to vote, that's the opening for high time corruption. It is not only the deceased or pets' names who vote (and that happens due to the incompetence of that department in maintaining records straight) but opens the doors to illegals from all over the world - think about that one! There have been cases, unreported, where a voter has moved to another State, and still votes in both places (ask yourself, how can that happen?) Voter ID is a MUST!

I have 35 years with the same company, and I have to show my employee badge with photo to gain access. If I misplace my badge, I need to show an alternate photo ID, like a drivers license, to obtain a temporary badge, and enter the facility.

Get stopped for a minor traffic violation and hyou must show yhour identification (which is proper). Exercise the greatest privilege one can have, one that many have died to preserve, and no proper identification is required!!

If you're over sixty you can ride the JTA for free; providing you flash your ID. Some rather challenged drivers even take the time to calculate your birth-date, and most get it wrong.
