Steven, we must have been typing at the same time.  You know i don't have any truck with who you support, but I think it does make a difference when you are talking about another one.  I do appreciate that you also do not think Cain did what he is being accused of though.  I don't either.  I think this is a way to impact the primary and once that is over, heaven knows what they will do (however apparently anything is fair play) to impact the election.  I think they are already sdewing the unemployment numbers to make them look better!

I'm more then happy to meet with you one weekend.  If there is information out there I haven't seen or a point of view I haven't looked into I'm all for finding out.  I research everything so any chance I get to learn something new is a good thing for me even if it forces me to reexamine myself or my views on something. I would warn you against the stance of defending ANY candidate and instead say you need to make sure you are defending the right candidate.  That is where my defense of Ron Paul comes from I believe he is the right candidate not just the a candidate that can beat Obama.  I do think he can beat Obama though and I think he would actually do it by quite a big margin.

 

I reject the idea that it is the last chance but I do agree that after this it will be even harder to change after four years of the wrong candidate (and that means on either side).  'All hope is lost only when all lose hope'

 

As far as betting my life on Ron Paul no I'm like you I wouldn't bet my life on any of them.  But in all fairness I wouldn't bet my life on anyone.

Steve, that is what has happened thus far. 2 allegations of sexual harassment that were settled out of court and the ladies were asked to sign confidentiality forms stating they would not discuss the matter and if they did, they had to repay the money. One member of the news media has offered to give them the money to pay it back if they will talk about what happened........really. If the restaurant association said the charges were unfounded, then, what could these ladies say that will give politco or anyone else the kind of story they are obviously looking for. The ladies know full well the restaurant association kept notes and DID do an investigation of the allegations. Cain was not involved in the investigation or the final findings as it would have been a conflict for him since he was the person who was accused.

Timing is everything.  We are getting close to the primaries and issues are important but what if they keep Cain tied up with this mess?  They will impact the election, and after the primaries, it can come out that none of it was true and the ladies lied.........but in the mean time Cain might have been hurt so badly he could lose in the primaries.  This type thing has been done before!

Mrs. McBridge you are right.  Yes to everyone in the group that doesn't know I'm an avid Ron Paul supporter.  I want him to win because I think he would be best for this country.  It colors my views only because I judge every other candidate against him and I find every other candidate lacking.  Even if I didn't support Ron Paul I would still be highly critical of every candidate out there.  Right now Herman Cain is on top so he is the one getting the media coverage so he is the one that everyone is talking about so he is the one I'm talking about right now.  If and/or when he falls and someone else is on top that person will probably be who I'm talking about.  I'm highly critical of just about everything and that was before my support of Ron Paul started.

Steve, my offer still stands.  I will debate you on all your points.  If you would like to meet at my office, I will provide to you information you undoubtedly have not see and I will not make any assumptions as to you intentions.

 

The bottom line is this is the LAST chance we have to turn this country around and by not checking and double checking every resource to find the most I can about any issue is what brought me to the point of defending ANY candidate for the nomination for the only political party in a position to wage a campaign to end the nightmare we are living.

ONE CHANCE ONLY!  Would you bet your life on Ron Paul?  I would not bet my life on any of them and that is why I am so adamant in focusing on the whole picture and not just take anything as gratis no matter where it comes from.

Trying to defend Mr. Cain by saying that the lawyer shouldn't have violated his NDA makes no sense to me.  Either those allegations happened or they did not and a lawyer doing something he shouldn't have done doesn't change that fact.  Okay maybe my wording is wrong with using the word suit but there where two allegations of sexual harassment that were settled out of court.  That is true even by Mr. Cain's words. We can debate if they were legit or not (and my guess is that they weren't) but it doesn't change the fact that he was involved in two allegations of sexual harassment.

 

Again though this story about sexual harassment has nothing to do with my view on Mr. Cain.  I think he is a weak candidate and there are many other things that worry me about him that so far exceed these allegations it isn't even funny. 

 

I'm all for a spirited debate it doesn't even have to be refed but if you want it to that is fine.

I think Steve when you say what you do, you should also tell people you are an avid supporter of Ron Paul as that colors your opinion somewhat as you really would like to see Cain fall from favor and your candidate fall into favor.  Not upset with you, but the truth of the matter is the truth of the matter.  Politico and now reporting there was contact, and the restaurant association admitted the charges were unfounded and no contact has been proven or stated as yet.  The charges were for inappropriate statements (could have been "gee you look very nice today) and "GESTURES" with no touching, so now a 4th lady who never filed charges but clearly remembers something from over 10 years ago about being touched inappropriatly and Cain upgrading his hotel room (why would he have a hotel room when he kept an apartment near the Restaurant Association (and close to the airport) since his wife traveled there with him most of the time.  So, now do we believe the ladies or believe the record of the Restaurant Association on the first 2 ladies, and perhaps we find out why this new woman stepped forward and what she was paid to do so or was she paid to do so?  The other thing I really question as most people that do things like this do it repeatedly over a period of time.  Isn't it amazing that 4 woman all from about the same year have all come forward to nail the coffin shut on Cain?

Law suits.  To be a law suit it has to be filed and when it is filed it gets a docket number because for it to be served to the target it has to go through the clerk of courts and a deputy is assigned to deliver it to the person it is filed against.

The only case we know anything about, because the attorney is likely violating the terms of the NDA, since he too was a signatory of it by his own admission, was a complaint was filed as a result of her termination, whatever the reason.  From one person who knew something about it as it was later told to Cain, she even had to pay the attorney fees for everyone so how does that change your view.  In case you missed it, it is on page three of the original Polutico story about 3/4 of the way down.

Just as Rush mentioned, I am not defending Cain per say but the media jihad that will be executed on whoever is on top of the primary packs.  I am perfectly willing to have the FCTP referee a debate between us on this and the other issues you cite that "scares" you about Mr. Cain.
