I don't understand why everyone is taking the fact that Mrs. Allred is involved in one of the four allegations and making it out like none of them are valid because she is involved in one of them.  If she had her hand in all of them I could understand but what about the other three women that have accused him. 

 

I agree with most that this is probably a case of Herman saying something that was taken as harassment but if the goal is to beat Obama everyone has to think about not just the primary but the general election.  Even if GOP voters are willing to overlook these things Herman is going to need more then just them to beat Obama.  These allegations are going to cause people to question weather then should vote for him.  Those votes are all going to be needed to beat Obama.  We can talk about smear tactics all we want, and it is probably the case, but if we want to beat Obama we need to not think just how we perceive things but how voters in the general election see them.

I do not think Herman Cain is guilty, however, I don't understand why he wasn't more prepared for this attack since he had at least 10 days notice before the first story broke. I am more concerned with the way he handled the attack than the accusations.

Anyone who would hire a sleaze-bag attorney like Gloria Allred has to be questionable at best.  We know the media is out to crucify any Tea Party preferred candidate and promote the Republican Establishment candidate of choice, in this case Romney.  Remember what they did to Sarah Palin and Judge Thomas in particular?  I am more than willing to give Mr. Cain the benefit of the doubt knowing the agenda of the media and the left.  Allred will probably file a law suit on her clients behalf.  She's in this for the money and fame.  The suit will plague Mr. Cain through out next year and the press will continue to smear him.  We must stand strong against them and support Mr. Cain.

Before Political Correctness men often would make comments women would label "Fresh!" and walk away -- most men thought it complimentary, most women thought it unwanted.  I fear Mr. Cain may have fallen into that category.  Then political correctness came in and women were saying "Men just don't get it." The fact his marriage has lasted 40 years stands for something. Our country is in such dire straits I hope a scandal of this type proves to be less rather than more -- and we all know Allred is always looking for scandal to "defend" and has little credibility with thinking people.

How about everyone holding their powder until Gloria makes her pitch.  She is a shill for the left and she is just doing her appointed duty because of the abject fear that is ever so apparent not only by the left but also by the rest of the Permanent Political Class.  I'm sure she feels emboldened from her take-down of Whitman but she is not considering the character this fine man has built for decades.

Plus, the Cain/Gingrich debate on Saturday night I'm sure has them sweating bullets, both sides.

Billie, it is already hurting Herman Cain.  On one poll this morning (wish I had kept it), it indicated Herman is now slightly behind Romney.  If the media keeps it up and keeps the focus on this which I think they plan to do until they have destroyed him (the dems like Romney better since they hope he will just manage everything they have put in place instead of making changes and getting rid of things).  I think something did happen, but I don't think it was sexual harrassment (I think it was called sexual harrassment by the ladies involved).  I think the ladies were paid off, because it was cheaper than going to court, and I don't think Herman gave it a thought since he did nothing wrong.  All would have been fine, but we all know the media, and they know Herman can beat Obama, so for them, he has to go.  And so we are where we are more for that reason than any wrong doing on Herman Cain's part..................apparently his wife is very upset at what the media is doing to him as well.

3)The only woman Allred helps is herself & is an example of why trial lawyers are held in such low esteem

The Republican establishment has raised $100 million for Mitt Romney in the last 6 years; Democrats predict Obama will raise $1billion; Fact: Investors always expect a return for their money and, as any gambler, only hit the jackpot when they win.  Fact: Herman Cain is not "owned" by any of the high rollers and is therefore a threat.  Just as business's pay off harrassment accusers to avoid business losses through litigation, they can also use them to avoid political losses, using the media as judge and jury.

Classic Gloria Allred!  She's always looking for the next opportunistic moment, but not in the right places.  This is what many of us expected from her (wish we had been wrong).
