Contrary to popular "wisdom" Cain did not say "developing nuclear weapons"  he said "developing nuclear capability".  We as a nation are still developing nuclear capability.  Anyone working on cold fusion is developing nuclear capability.  People working on small scale nuke reactors for small villages in Alaska are developing nuclear capability.

I suppose you are another fine graduate of those stunning government schools that have given up teaching reading comprehension because your willing disregard for actual quotes is telling.

As far as the 999 plan, try working on these and get back to us with the variables you used to come to your conclusion.  This gets tricky now, remember, corporations don't pay taxes, their customers do.

@Pat I do believe that the first two women probably really felt that he wronged them in some way, now if it really happened or if it happened like they said it did who knows.  Only the people involved and the Lord know the truth and the people involved remember things from their point of view which is obviously biased by its very nature. 

 

This last lady sounds like she is so full of crap it isn't even funny.  First off she waited until he pushed her head down before she said something.  I also like that she said 'what are you doing you know I have a boyfriend' like it was only wrong because she had a boyfriend and it would have been okay if she didn't have a boyfriend.  Any women I know would have punched him when he tried to touch her whoo-hoo and it would never have gotten to the head to the crouch part.  The second problem I have is that she told her boyfriend and he didn't do anything.  If my wife told me something like that I would probably be in jail right now for beating him to death.

 

The third lady I haven't really heard that much about and other then this forum I have not followed this story as much as some other stories as to me it is mostly crap.  Again though as more and more women come out of the woodwork the story will feed on itself and more and more people will start to think it is true even with no real facts.  Even if he does win the GOP nomination these allegations will hurt him in the general election.  The right, and some informed voters, may not care about it but to the average uninformed voter (who are the ones that we need to win over to get Obama out of the White House) it will make someone think twice about voting for him.  Not fair but it is true.

Steve, you are right about the way things happen.  The first 2 ladies show up, and they were chomping to say something and apparently told Politico they couldn't or they would have to pay the money back (so enter.......someone who will give them the money to pay it back if they will only talk).  That makes this new woman or 2 the grounds to futher things since the first 2 women are really failing to make any traction.  Now, we have yet another woman who says Herman set up a dinner with someone (and the woman says "he acted strange...........and it sounded like he was setting up a liason with the woman............really????).  This is what happens when someone wants rid of another person and they keep stacking on when the previous ones are not successful, but now it is all very vague and the latest woman is trying to make the peices that do not fit together fit together anyway.  It is sick and the woman get paid for these appearances and obviously want rid of Herman for one reason or another, but I do not believe between the whole bunch of them, there is a single truthful fact.  I think it is all stretched out and a real attempt is being made to make it into what they want it to be.  Herman says he didn't do any of this and knows nothing about it; if I were him and had done nothing, I would be livid and apparently he is.  That anyone would attack a person for some of the stuff these ladies are is surreal.

I don't see it the same way as you do when it comes to Mrs. Choate but we are all free to have our opinion.  You are right though it is a shame that people can say untrue things about someone and ruin the person with no, or minimal, real evidence. 

 

I have a saying that I probably heard from somewhere else but I'm not sure were so until I find out who said it I'm claiming it as my own.  "I don't make the rules I just play by them." 

 

I realize that the best way to win at something is to play by the rules of the game (as long as I don't have to do anything illegal or immoral).  Remaking the rules of the game and trying to get everyone to play by new rules is not efficient and has an almost 100% failure rate.  And yes I consider life to be a game of sorts.

Personally, for me, his tax policy which results in those in the income bracket between 60-75 thousand paying on average 7,000 more a year in taxes is a bigger problem. For me, his not knowing that China had nuclear weapons, bigger problem. For me, not knowing what a neo-con is,bigger.

Well Tracy and Ron, this case isn't going to court and why trust the courts anyway, a court acquitted Casey Anthony.  There will be no guilt or innocence. So if you are awaitng a guilty plea, forget about it.

If you are expecting Mr. Cain to suddenly admit to it, forget it, ain't happening.

And look at how this woman has been pilloried, I certainly wouldn't come out and subject myself to this abuse. Neither woman who were given cash settlements brought this to the attention of Politico. So they were brought into this mess, a dozen or so years later, it seems to me, at great reluctance.

Yea, it really sucks big time if it is you but it sure is convenient for people like Amanda to make scurrilous claims backed by a political agenda with virtually no way in the world of having bulletproof collaboration for either side.  But from what I have seen from her screeds, I place absolutely no hope of he being objective in any way to admit she may be wrong to do what she is doing.

 

Hey Amanda, remember, karma and arrogance really has a way of biting dishonest players like you in the arshe when you very least expect it.  The sorry thing is you cannot go through life looking in your rear view mirror or walking backwards because it will simply come at you from the other.

See Ron that is what I mean if you could get people to perceive that was true about Mrs. Choate you would destroy her reputation because of public opinion not because it is fact.  If you could get four or five believable people (probably a good idea to pick someone other then the guy/girl on Pearl Street that is homeless) to say the same thing people would start believing it.  It would be like if three or four more women come out and say the same thing about him it starts to become more and more believable even if there are no real facts to back up anything anyone says.  I'm not saying it is right but it is how things work.

My point was not to compare this to his cocaine use it was an attempt to show that these types of things are better if they are brought out in the beginning instead of at mid-stream.  When a story breaks about something it is automatically assumed that the person in question was trying to hide it even if it was a legitimate mistake.  It is more about preception then anything else I think.  If it comes out before you even start running it is preceived in a more forgiving light by most then when something comes out like this and then it looks like the candidate is covering something up which automatically makes him look guilty.  I said it before in the court of public opinion you don't have to be able to prove anything it is how people see things that make up their opinions.
