Are the Unions running our country through permission from President Obama? Appears so.

Executive Order 13522, entitled Creating Labor-Management Forums to Improve Delivery of Government Services, was signed by President Obama in October 2009.  Leave it to this administration to create an Executive Order of such magnitude while our focus was on the healthcare bill.

In a nutshell, unions will be given a seat at the table for all meetings and they do not have to be an employee of that agency.  They will play a significant role in decision making in regards to just about anything, including budgets, how money will be spent, employee issues, etc.

Executive orders are being abused by this President and Congress needs to step in and take responsibility for holding this President and future Presidents accountable to the workings of our Republic.   Presidents must not legislate from the executive office!

AND…

Take a look at this article about SEIU hanging out with terrorists.  http://biggovernment.com/amarcus/2011/01/28/is-seiu-working-with-ha...

Now tie both of these reports up with a nice purple ribbon and you will begin to see the big picture.

The Unions are inside our country’s infrastructure, inside our government and they are sitting in our boardrooms.  If they are hanging out with terrorists – are the terrorists also there?

Wow, when it's typed in all caps, we can definitely hear better.  also, i think linking unions to terrorists and implying terrorists are in the government and board room  is a bit much.

I think unions served a purpose about a hundred years ago, when kids were working in factories, factory doors were locked and workers worked 12-14 hours a day without overtime pay.  now, they seem obsolete to me, yet they continue to try to make themselves relevant.  what obama is doing is no different to me than what dick cheney did (meet with energy executives privately to figure out our energy policy. ) the more i read, the more i think the same thing:  everyone is bought off; it's just who writes the check that changes.  for obama, it's the unions.  no big surprise there.

I use to belong to Teamsters local 299 back in the old days. Jimmie Hoffa pretty much wrote the play book on pension funds. During those exchanges with Robert Kennedy and Hoffa at those Congressional Hearings, I'm sure government learned as much about handling federal employee pension funds as Bernie Madoff learned from observing social security. That had  to make them want to expand government to create all the new employees as possible. Taxes only make up 1/3 of all government income.

I don't think this is a question of the pay rate of federal employees. It is the blatant abuse by this President of excutive power to futher his agenda and handing federal tax money to organizations that have promoted that agenda. It is all about distroying capitalism and promoting the entitlement way of life. Everything he has attempted to do is against the constitution and everything that the founding fathers stood for. IT IS ABOUT THE DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA CAN YOU HEAR ME!!!!!!!!! It is time for him and his czars to go and to restore our republic. We must be cleansed of this socialist paracite.

I'm a federal employee and have been one for a whopping seven months and I've never seen any evidence of the union that I know is there. I'm not eligible to join due to my position so no representative has ever approached me. What I can tell you is that the federal unions have no power. It's against the law for federal workers to strike (remember the air traffic controllers in the '80s?) and if you can's strike, you have no bargaining power. Due to the un-sustainability of the old federal pension system President Reagan (against union wishes) reformed the retirement system of all federal workers severely restricting how large a pension any incoming (new) federal employees could get by replacing most of the benefit with a 401K like defined contribution system and also making them/us pay into the social security system.  As far as annual pay goes, the unions have little to nothing to do with setting what, if any, pay raise there is. In 1990 the federal govt commissioned a study to get an accurate comparison of federal pay (including the military) with the private sector. The results were startling in that federal workers pay for similar jobs was some 20% to 25% less (and in some geographical areas it was even more). The legislation passed as a result of this study was designed to, over time, bring the two pays into parity by instituting different pay rates based on geographical locations and legislating a cost of living pay raise annually based on inflation rates. The legislation additionally “recommended” that the raise be .5% higher than the rate of inflation annually until the pay gap has been closed. Generally the annual pay raise for the military has followed that trend but the raise for the civilians has not keeping the annual cost of living raise at just the rate of inflation. None of this applies at the state and local levels though so your mileage may vary.

My point is that, other than the postal workers union and a couple of other that are similar, the unions at the federal level have no teeth to speak of. IMO I'd just as soon see them go away because their very existence stirs up the ire of the conservative base. With the ongoing demonization of the federal employee these days, I’d rather just remove that target. I don’t see their existence as evil or insidious, just inconvenient and not worth the hate their existence generates.

I’m so disappointed in my party and representatives with regards to this demonization of the federal workforce. No one is using accurate information when discussing pay and many of them know it. The accurate data is there if they would just take the time to look for it, but it would remove an issue that resonates greatly with all conservatives and libertarian minded folk. I realized with dismay last week that all hope of a fair public debate is lost; Thomas Sowell (probably the pundit I admire most of them all) jumped on the band wagon and perpetuated the pay myth. There are some federal workers that are overpaid (generally the entry level folks) and some that are underpaid (the very senior people). Consider that the CIO of a 40K person company makes several hundreds of thousands of dollars yet the CIO of a 40K organization in the federal sector is capped at what a congressman is allowed to make (about $170K). Or consider a company CEO making millions and compare him/her to the director of the CIA who also has that same pay cap. You get my point I’m sure.

FWIW I’m an Army retiree (22 years of service), a disabled veteran, and have never voted for anything but a republican and I don’t foresee any circumstances that could change that. I took a 35% pay cut coming from the private sector to do similar work for the Dept of the Army last July. So at least in my case I am underpaid if compared to my old job in the private sector. I won’t go back, although I have been asked to return on several occasions. I just want to continue to serve my country as I have since I was 19. If the country would come to us and say that I won’t get a pay increase because the money just isn’t there, I’d be fine with that and so would everyone I work with. I’m a patriot and want the best for the country. But to freeze or even cut our pay out of a misguided sense of “fairness” or “justice” is insulting. It makes us sound like the enemy with their concept of “social justice”. Let’s do it right; commission another study that compares apples to apples. Keep the unions out of it. Make adjustments where they need to be made. If people in a given sector are overpaid, fix it. But the converse must be taken into account. If someone is underpaid, acknowledge it and fix that too.

It is time Americans woke up, and got up off our lazy butts, and demanded justice.  We are suppose to be a Country that is led by a Gov. of the people.  Not the traitors we now have against the people.  There is suppose to be no taxation without representation.  The Gov. doesn't want this healthcare plan they are trying to cram down our throats.  What does this say for them.  They don't care about us, only our money.  And they are out to get every dollar they can.  So watch out, they are not close to being done.  We cannot afford our Gov. anymore.  They have priced themselves out of the market, and us too.  It is ridiculous that 545 officials and who knows how many traitors destroy such a great Country led by the King of the Crooks, or a puppet of the most corrupt crooks ever.  He has lied to all of us, what happened to that transparency he carried on about.  Wake up, this is a nightmare we must survive.  We should be impeaching this fool.  Remember, nothing is impossible.  Watch what happens in Egypt.  I challenge everyone to get others involved with the Tea Party.  It is better to be educated, and not just opinionated.  Now is the time to invite everyone.  Forget race, religion, etc. This is our Country and we must fight to save it.United we stand, divided we fall.  That says it all.  Forget Republican, Democrat, etc. Remember we are all American voters.  And now is the time to remind all of our Congressmen, Senators, etc.  daily.  Actions speak louder than words.  Watch them all.  Fax, and call them all.

This President is more corrupt than Nixon ever thought of being but yet he is allowed to continue unchecked. Is there any limit to how much the people are going to take before this criminal is stopped? For god sakes what is it going to take to make congress put a stop to him?  Is there anyone in Washington with the guts to stop him? With all he has done there should be charges brought against him by every congressman and congresswoman in office. This is the kind of thing that starts wars for pete sake. Are we to follow the road of Egypt?

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
