Just another day in paradise as we opened the Tiny Union this morning.  They were giving out awards to the winners and losers in the local election.  The list of losers and winners was an opinion of Mr. Harding, a columnist, not an investigative journalist. Again, the TU shows their liberal bias. Remember the good old days of journalists who dug for the story, met in the dark places to hear from a scared informant and won Pulitzer Prizes for investigation? No more, ladies and gentlemen, no more. Thank you TU - I will wear my "loser" badge proudly.

A warning for the future:  The candidates all come with their messages of helping and serving others.  They smile, shake hands, use words like “I'll take us to the next level,or "love, hope and change" and pretend to be our friend so they can be our leader.  We’ve seen it before and we will see it again as the 2012 elections gear up.

I am reminded of the Twilight Zone episode where men from another planet land on earth.  They come bearing gifts and speak about all the things they can provide for man on earth.  They are bigger and stronger than the earth people and seem to come in peace wanting only to be trusted.

They leave their manual with man so they can study who they are and learn to trust them.  The problem is the book is written in their native language.

One of the team members is able to decipher the book title “To Serve Man.”

Based on the title some of the people decide it sounds great and they want to go back to the alien’s planet where life will be better than on earth.  They will live in peace and harmony with their new "friends."

The problem is…the book title is deceptive and it’s too late for some as they board the spaceship to carry them away.

The moral of the story is this.  Be not deceived by the platitudes and speeches of those who want to be our leader.  The House, Senate and Presidential races are ahead of us.  It is our job to know more than just what we see on the outside or what we hear them say.  We need to Listen intently and Research deeply to fully undersand who they are and how they will lead.  The 2012 Election will be the biggest election of your lifetime and we must be wise about our choices.   We must also encourage others to get involved NOW.

Otherwise, we may be eaten alive.  Please watch this short video to see what was inside the book.   Don't let this happen to you.

I am not very good at linking, but I will try to do so re:  the tea party and the Jax election.

Roma, you're right.  All members should be able to both access and comment... the more research and input the better, just as long as what is posted can be verified through links to the source information. Then, all members can read the material, check the documentation, and draw their own conclusions from it.

So, let me see if I understand about candidates' information being scrubbed. Is it Google removing search links to previously posted/published information about candidates from websites?  Google is horrible to deal with. I had to go nose to nose with them about their putting porn links in their search results for my website. They use webcrawlers to find info for search results, as you probably know. But, of course there was never anything related to porn published on my website---just news and opinion. They apologized and took the porn links down, (so I know they can take search links down); then after a while they started doing it again. Nobody with a website wants such trash to show up in search results for their site. And, I want to be able to do research online without any search engine or web crawlers obstructing the finding and documenting of information. There's a word for that, censorship, and it also violates the First Amendment free speech rights of whomever published the material.

Now, if it's the candidate taking the information down from their own website, that's another matter.

There's some of that "blame the Tea Party" schtick going on in tweets on The Florida Independent's website, too. That's www.floridaindependent.com. Democrats wouldn't be trying to pin the blame tail on the Tea Party if they weren't afraid of our constantly growing movement. Fear brings out the harpies. The Democrat-pocketed lamestream media and the socialist Obamacrats have already proven that. What they can't quite figure out, it seems, is that their fear-driven harping is a motivating force for us.

And they're terrified we will do, for the U.S. Senate in 2012, what we did for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2010. Plus their constant harping only makes them look like what they are---a bunch of snipes, nags, harpies and sore losers. No mystery there...

Roma, I meant to add that I don't know this early on if Debbie is going to be researching presidential candidates, since so few have declared yet, and I don't know if she'll be researching candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate.  Of course, the Senate races will be the big deal in 2012, because we have a great opportunity to take back the Senate. With 24 Democrat Senators standing for re-election or retiring/stepping down, and only 10 Republicans doing so, the odds are definitely in our favor. A large part of Debbie's research has been for local candidates, but she is the best person to speak for what her group is doing... or planning to do.  My main interest is in the presidential race and the U.S. Senate Races, as well as some key House races.. including replacing U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson here in Florida.

That is interesting,Tamara, maybe you will tell everyone just which papers you are referring to and identify the particular articles. The Tea Party isn't going anywhere but up and the Democrats are very worried. Nothing but 'Trash Talk'. I, and no doubt others, will be looking forward to your input. Thanks

Vicky was doing some research on the election results/totals in some precincts, and she's very good at finding information and finding it quickly.  She provided two valuable links to the totals by party in each precinct and instructions for accessing the numerous pages, which was very helpful. I thought I found the research link on the main page, but I guess it could have been through Groups. And, as I recall, there are a large number of members of that group, but I don't know how actively involved they are. My experience when doing a lot of civic work led me to believe it was usually a core group who did most of the work. Hopefully, that's not as widespread as what I've experienced first hand.

I cannot believe what I am reading! Essentially, Florida papers are stating that the Brown win was caused in part by the tea party's support of hogan. While I am stll not a fan of endorsements, that is just unfair and once again proclaiming the coming demise of the tea party. I am thinking of going on tampabay.com and some of the other newspaper websites and responding. Thoughts?

Delete Comment Roma, I also think we should cross-link to Debbie Gonzales and her Research team's work, for they do an excellent job with the candidate surveys and other research they do as a foundation for endorsements. Debbie is also the Florida Representative for the Abigal Adams project, which provides excellent information. I highly recommend that all members go to the Research link on the main webpage, if they haven't already done so... especially new members.

JL does excellent research, too, and Vicky has just started doing so on this website, as well. And, there are others, also, who might like to help with this. I believe doing it this way, depending on hard research, will be very beneficial to members who might not have the time, research skills, internet savvy, or might just want to supplement or confirm information they already have. Plus, it's something members can do from home on their own computers and at times convenient for them.

Well, I agree and it's good that we are independent in thinking and making individual choices, but documented info should be of help to anyone in determining which candidates to endorse or support.

Thanks, Roma. As always, I respect your research and opinions. You always do a thorough and excellent job.

Thanks, Roma. I'll take a look.  I still think there shoud be a separate blog for each candidate, for example: Mitt Romney:  Qualifications and Record, and the same for each declared candidate. Otherwise, it will be too confusing. Plus, general discussion about all of them could continue on "Before You Vote: Know the Facts..." That way, when we find new information on a candidate, we can put it on the blog dedicated for them and make comparisons on "Before You Vote..."

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
