Never let a crisis go to waste..."Get out your life boats!"
The debt ceiling reminds me of September 2008. Remember when we were told we had to bail out the banks because the economy would crash if we didn’t? Remember John McCain had to suspend his campaign and go back to Washington because his country needed him? Remember President Bush standing at the podium white as a sheet saying we had no choice, we had to bail out the banks?
That day in September 2008 was the day I no longer slept and the beginnings of my involvement in the tea party stirred in my soul. All the chaos and confusion sent a message to me that something bigger was going on. All I saw was what the media wanted me to see and wanted me to believe. That was not sitting well with my soul so I began months of research to find out for myself the truth.
What I discovered was shameful and shocking. We had been lied to, we had been used and we had been abused as free citizens of the United States of America.
In one of those long nights with one cup of coffee after another, I uncovered this video from C-Span. My heart beat faster than I thought it could and my stomach turned at the knowledge we had been had. As a reminder, shortly after McCain announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, the polls began to favor McCain/Palin and he surged past Obama . The Palin shot in the arm showed up in the polls and Obama/Biden were dropping in the polls.
Isn’t it amazing to see how this ‘crisis’ came out of nowhere when the polls were surging in McCain’s favor. When McCain panicked and stopped his campaign, Obama sat back and took no responsibility for any of the chaos. The GOP looked like a bunch of rubes and the Democrats used the ‘crisis’ to their benefit and the media helped them. Candidate Obama rode the storm out on the wave of rising polls after the banking crisis and ultimately won the Presidential election. And in the words of Paul Kanjorski – “Somebody threw us in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean without a life raft and we are trying to determine which is the closet shore and if there is any chance in the world to swim that far. We don’t know.”
Question: Who threw us into the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and who created this ‘crisis’ that helped Obama win?
Fast forward to the debt ceiling chaos in DC.
The GOP is once again in the life boat while President Obama sips his umbrella drink as he lies on the shore watching the GOP boat drift aimlessly. The difference now is this – Obama is President and can’t hide his responsibility for the crisis. His out of control spending brought us to where we are today and the GOP for some reason – decided to take on this argument instead of letting Obama pick up the oars. Let’s remind the American public that President Obama spent us into this mess and the ceiling is about to collapse because of him. Back track to September 2008.
Go back and listen to the caller at the beginning of the video. Do you wonder if her life is any better today than it was then? Who was President in September 2008? Who got blamed for her problems? Reminder: That would be President Bush.
How many of you could make that call today? How many could say you have higher utility bills and can’t pay your mortgage? How many don’t qualify for help because you make too much money - $10 an hour? How many of you are better off today than you were back then? How many of you are worse off today than you were back then?
Ladies and Gentlemen: The August 2nd deadline is another September 2008 ‘crisis’ and we are being played by our government and others behind the scenes pulling their strings.
So what is the real truth and how does it affect you? No one knows but we will when history books are written about these times. The tea party will either be the villains who took down America OR those in charge will be blamed depending on the authors of those books.
I for one choose the old saying, “The buck stops here.” And that buck lies squarely on the desk of President Obama and no one else.
A Friday message for the GOP: “Get out of the life boat, swim to shore, kick the umbrella drink out of Obama’s hands and give him the oars. He made this mess, make him fix it! Stop being used as a pawn in the Crisis game and let him sink or swim. You’ve given them different plans and Reid & Obama “pooh-pooh” all of them. Tell them, you’re done. He’s the captain of the ship – let him figure it out.”
A Friday message to our tea party members: “Be proud of the fact you have stepped up and done all you can to Save the USA. The media and the Dems will call us names (and yes some in the GOP will too) BUT…had it not been for us, the light would have never been turned on to the corruption in DC. Good job faithful patriots! Our founding fathers would be so proud of you!
This weekend will be chaotic and all the bad news will come from the media. America will collapse if the debt ceiling isn’t raised. If we raise the debt ceiling, the GOP will look weak for not fighting. If we don’t raise the debt ceiling, the GOP will be at fault. I smell a rat and he’s in our life boat!
Some of you may tire of me for saying we should pray. Let me ask you this… “If you were in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean without a life raft, would you pray?” I think you would and I am hoping you will now. If you don’t know how to pray, listen to Murray Goff’s song and his prayer asking God to Save the USA.

Tom Coburn seemed to be the adult in the room when I heard him speak yesterday. To paraphrase, he said: (1) the debt ceiling will be raised. (2) the bigger problem is the ongoing spending vs. revenues, and that unless we address that the rating agencies are waiting to see how we as a country deal with that long term issue. He stated that in order to really balance the budget, Congress had to look at entitlement spending, discretionary spending and tax reform. It was all in play, and we as a country had to be ready to take it on the chin, and that meant everyone, young and old, individual and corporation. As he calmly laid out what needed to happen, I was nodding my head, and hoping everyone in Congress and the WH had the guts to do what was right, not necessarily for them or whatever lobbying group was backing them, or for one group of people, but for this country. I guess we'll see.

There are 2 important tasks for the Republicans:
1. Introduce a bill that really cuts spending, and does not add taxes. The Republicans have to this point introduced 3 bills: Ryan, Cut Cap & balance, and Boehner v1
2. Be sure that the public understands that it is the Obama administration that has brought us to this crisis-not the Tea party or the Republicans. It is Obama who has racked up debt, it is Obama and the Democrats that have failed to introduce any bill that would solve the problem. It is Obama who is playing the demagogue. To do this, Republicans need to speak with once clear voice.
Here's a slogan: "Obama has broken America's bank, now he wants our kid's piggy bank."

Patricia, I have been busy on blogs informing people, i am amazed at how many do not realize that Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have NOT passed a budget in Congress for over 820+days in the Senate and not since April 2009 for over 3 years in the House. They circumvented the US Constitution, period and in my eyes have set the GOP up for failure so they can win more VOTES in 2012 and increase their POWER.
We need to get the TRUTH and FACTS out, that is what hurts the progressives period. A lot of people are seeing now that President Obama does absolutely nothing and tries to place the blame even on his own party, they are also seeing that the Progressives create crisis, like the one now. There is discourse now in DC & Congress on our debt and deficit which is very good, and the American people are involved another really good thing. This is ALL because of the TeaParty.
Daniel, there is a LOT being discussed right now, Boehner's plan hopefully will move forward. Reid's cuts are just intellectual dishonesty and gimmickry period, not true cuts all 2.5 trillion worth, it is all on projected spending that is ending anyway. That is why Boehner's plan must move forward. It has REAL cuts in it. This is a step forward, i know that they were originally planning to vote again for a Balance amendment bill after this bill passed that deals with the debt. It was to be voted on today. What is going to happen now because the Boehner bill that was suppose to pass vote yesterday is now delayed, i don't know. Hopefully all will move forward. A lot was achieved when the CutCapBalance bill was passed with a bipartisan vote but killed by Reid in the Senate and not allowed a open floor debate. There is a bipartisan interest in a balance budget amendment. Over 70% Americans now want it.
There is also a bill being drawn up by Connie Mack (FL) called the 1 percent bill (i think), and it cuts spending 1 percent for six years and actually pays the deficit in just six years. Trillions of dollars in savings and saving on interest. There is a LOT going on in the House and has been since Jan 2011.
TV's talking heads are NOT going to talk about any conservative moves, they are hell bent on promoting Progressives period.
Also Jeffery Immelt who heads up Obama's jobs committee has just moved thousands of jobs worth millions, high tech jobs to China, Billions are going to be spent on increasing size and develop of the division in CHINA. Interesting to note the jobs were in Wisconsin. Same Wisconsin battling UNIONS. Authorities are now looking into that as a violation of special interests with Immelt and his relationship on the Committee and Obama. POTUS has a big problem of 'punishing' states that do not comply with his wishes. Lots going on behind the scenes.
This mess was made over decades, it will not be resolved over night or one year, but several election cycles, keep in mind the Conservatives just control ONLY 1/3 of the government, the House and they in my eyes are doing one hell of a great job. We have to keep it moving forward, there is a LOT of work yet to be done. Like Senator Rubio told Billie and FTCP when they went to DC back in March “This place is more screwed up than I could have imagined. Keep up the good work with the Tea Party, we need you guys.”
We need to keep it up, spread the TRUTH and FACTS, along with the prayers also!

Here's the latest, just in from DC:
"Speaker Boehner has amended the bill:
‣Bill currently has a two-step process for raising the debt ceiling.
‣As currently written, before POTUS can request second tranche of increased debt authority, Select Committee must produce spending cuts larger than the debt hike.
‣Change to bill would specify that before POTUS can request second tranche of debt authority, Select Committee must produce spending cuts larger than the hike AND a Balanced Budget Amendment must be sent to the states."
The Prez just asked everyone to call/write and tweet Congress to get a compromise bill so the USA doesn't implode next Tuesday. Of course he wasn't talking to you or me...so be sure to call and write and tweet anyway!

2010 gave us one house and we've brought their advance for the destruction of our country to a standstill. Hang tough. If you know and realize the major media to be hand in glove with the National Association for the Advancement of Communistic Politics (NAACP), what should it matter what "they" say. We have two fronts. This debt ceiling which should not be raised and thwarting all new taxes. Good exercise is to workout at your local city councils. Jax has several; the NO-BID CONTRACT for waste-management at trail ridge; the Police-Firemans pension fund; and the budget of "JAX ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION" (what a misnomer!) that has elevated salaries, expense accounts to OTHER CITIES to recruit competition for already established, tax paying businesses already here, already in existence. The JEDC offers utility incentives to this new out of town competition, and offers to pay for relocation fees. Put the indigenous business out of business with advantages to the "foreigner". Don't forget sheriff rutherford has given defacto immunity to criminal invaders. If you need more ammo in you home defense magazine, check out these websites how Hussein and his car-czar worked a pogrom on specifically designated small businesses.

I still like Col.Alan West.....He's THERE and knows what these clowns are up to. Hope The Tea Party doesn't shoot it self in the foot....I'd back Boehner's plan! If we get a balance budget amendment it will be a miracle.
BO our Campaigner in Chief wants to get back to raising funds for the 2012 elections.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
