Never let a crisis go to waste..."Get out your life boats!"
The debt ceiling reminds me of September 2008. Remember when we were told we had to bail out the banks because the economy would crash if we didn’t? Remember John McCain had to suspend his campaign and go back to Washington because his country needed him? Remember President Bush standing at the podium white as a sheet saying we had no choice, we had to bail out the banks?
That day in September 2008 was the day I no longer slept and the beginnings of my involvement in the tea party stirred in my soul. All the chaos and confusion sent a message to me that something bigger was going on. All I saw was what the media wanted me to see and wanted me to believe. That was not sitting well with my soul so I began months of research to find out for myself the truth.
What I discovered was shameful and shocking. We had been lied to, we had been used and we had been abused as free citizens of the United States of America.
In one of those long nights with one cup of coffee after another, I uncovered this video from C-Span. My heart beat faster than I thought it could and my stomach turned at the knowledge we had been had. As a reminder, shortly after McCain announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, the polls began to favor McCain/Palin and he surged past Obama . The Palin shot in the arm showed up in the polls and Obama/Biden were dropping in the polls.
Isn’t it amazing to see how this ‘crisis’ came out of nowhere when the polls were surging in McCain’s favor. When McCain panicked and stopped his campaign, Obama sat back and took no responsibility for any of the chaos. The GOP looked like a bunch of rubes and the Democrats used the ‘crisis’ to their benefit and the media helped them. Candidate Obama rode the storm out on the wave of rising polls after the banking crisis and ultimately won the Presidential election. And in the words of Paul Kanjorski – “Somebody threw us in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean without a life raft and we are trying to determine which is the closet shore and if there is any chance in the world to swim that far. We don’t know.”
Question: Who threw us into the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and who created this ‘crisis’ that helped Obama win?
Fast forward to the debt ceiling chaos in DC.
The GOP is once again in the life boat while President Obama sips his umbrella drink as he lies on the shore watching the GOP boat drift aimlessly. The difference now is this – Obama is President and can’t hide his responsibility for the crisis. His out of control spending brought us to where we are today and the GOP for some reason – decided to take on this argument instead of letting Obama pick up the oars. Let’s remind the American public that President Obama spent us into this mess and the ceiling is about to collapse because of him. Back track to September 2008.
Go back and listen to the caller at the beginning of the video. Do you wonder if her life is any better today than it was then? Who was President in September 2008? Who got blamed for her problems? Reminder: That would be President Bush.
How many of you could make that call today? How many could say you have higher utility bills and can’t pay your mortgage? How many don’t qualify for help because you make too much money - $10 an hour? How many of you are better off today than you were back then? How many of you are worse off today than you were back then?
Ladies and Gentlemen: The August 2nd deadline is another September 2008 ‘crisis’ and we are being played by our government and others behind the scenes pulling their strings.
So what is the real truth and how does it affect you? No one knows but we will when history books are written about these times. The tea party will either be the villains who took down America OR those in charge will be blamed depending on the authors of those books.
I for one choose the old saying, “The buck stops here.” And that buck lies squarely on the desk of President Obama and no one else.
A Friday message for the GOP: “Get out of the life boat, swim to shore, kick the umbrella drink out of Obama’s hands and give him the oars. He made this mess, make him fix it! Stop being used as a pawn in the Crisis game and let him sink or swim. You’ve given them different plans and Reid & Obama “pooh-pooh” all of them. Tell them, you’re done. He’s the captain of the ship – let him figure it out.”
A Friday message to our tea party members: “Be proud of the fact you have stepped up and done all you can to Save the USA. The media and the Dems will call us names (and yes some in the GOP will too) BUT…had it not been for us, the light would have never been turned on to the corruption in DC. Good job faithful patriots! Our founding fathers would be so proud of you!
This weekend will be chaotic and all the bad news will come from the media. America will collapse if the debt ceiling isn’t raised. If we raise the debt ceiling, the GOP will look weak for not fighting. If we don’t raise the debt ceiling, the GOP will be at fault. I smell a rat and he’s in our life boat!
Some of you may tire of me for saying we should pray. Let me ask you this… “If you were in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean without a life raft, would you pray?” I think you would and I am hoping you will now. If you don’t know how to pray, listen to Murray Goff’s song and his prayer asking God to Save the USA.

Consider this:
The U.S. Debt ceiling is now $14.3 Trillion.
The Federal Reserve holds approx. $1.6 Trillion in U.S. Treasury notes.
The Fed is essentially the U.S. Gov't., as is the Treasury.
So we have the U.S. Gov't. owing ITSELF $1.6 Trillion.
If this debt were simply CANCELLED, there would be no lost jobs, no one would be fired, and thyere would be no deflationary pressures induced, as there is PLENTY of paper money in the system due to QE 1 and QE 2. The debt is then $1.6 Trillion under the ceiling.
This would give the Gov't. some "breathing room" to continue without shutting down, until Cut, Cap, and Balance could be passed, which is the ultimate solution!
Why isn't this being considered by TV's Talking Heads or the self-centered politicos we sent to D.C. to fix the system?
Simple - it would expose the whole phony house of cards that is our fiat currency system, made up of empty promises to fix it "in the next 10 years!"

JL, I agree, Harry Reid and the dems want to claim that they saved the day. Given they haven't done anything but approve the huge spending bills that pushed up over the edge to where we are now, it is a joke, but those who are uninformed are too stupid to know better and will probably believe it. Obama is right on as he continues to play to the uninformed and poorly educated and prey on their worst fears. They are truly the most unscrupulous people on the face of the planet.

Debbie, i disagree with you on the future. Sure there are going to be rough spots but WHO did not expect that with interest rates being held falsely so low and money being printed? Interest is going to have to rise period. Remember the Carter years?
You have NO reason to be ashamed of being busy with your family. I was also and I WOULD NOT TRADE those years for anything. I am just saddened to find out so many STUPID people are serving in Congress and should NOT be there. There should be NO such thing as a PROFESSIONAL POLITICIAN, they are very dangerous. Not my fault nor yours. Our country has not defaulted yet.
I find it ironic or really quiet STUPID that S&P and Moody who is THREATENING to lower our rating were the same companies that GAVE those packaged mortgages holdings a pristine rating that caused the Housing market to reach such a high BUBBLe period. They were part of the problem that caused our economy to crash. IF they had not giving them such a pristine rating many investors would not have brought them up like crazy driving the market up at such a fast rate.
I heard a buzz that someone is looking into dialog between the WH and S&P, Moody that may not be legal several weeks ago. I know that Egan-Jones lowered our rating two weeks ago to AA. The dow is up right now. I think many in DC are playing a dangerous game of Politics and we must pray and hope the best of the worst comes thru. Reid apparently has FINALLY introduced his plan. Hopefully it is going to be merge today with Boehners and less damage will be done for now. *sigh*
Things will work out. We have to get more constitutional fiscal conservatives in Congress and keep the ones that we put there in 2010.
Senator DeMint announced that this is his last term, his intent was just to serve two terms, period. Those are the type of people we need in Congress.The funny thing this week was watching Princess Pelosi, Reid, Chuckie Schumer, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Lisa Jackson-Lee and ALL the far left loons go rabid! They tend to do that when they see overwhelming support for the conservatives and the TeaParty. I just hope the movement survives along with our elected ones in Congress. This is the time to stand behind them. They have worked very hard passing over a half dozen budgets, Cut Cap & Balance was openly debated on the House floor and PASSED with BIPARTISAN votes. Harry Reid shelved it with a procedural move in the Senate and it was NOT allowed to be openly debated. CC&B is his worst NIGHTMARE, it stops growth of government.

Billie, Tears in my eyes as I read this and ponder the future, or perhaps better put the lack there of, awaiting my grandchildren. I am ashamed for all those years I was "busy" working and raising a family. Now, I have no choice but to do "EVERYTHING and ANYTHING" I can to protect the future for these circumstantial victims. When they ask me what was my role in what happened to our country, I will reply with a clear conscience "I did everything I could." I am praying for God to intervene and give us "One More Chance."

Apparently TeaParty people are threatening Primary challenges to Congressional members in the House who back Speaker Boehner's plan. That is not good
President Obama is doing a press Conference at 10:20 am probably to back Reid's plan. This is so frustrating.
What makes me angry is ALL the progress made and because it is NOT moving fast enough now it is being destroyed. This is not good, Pelosi, Reid & POTUS are winning as planned.

When we are approaching these times, we need to pray. Sing this song together. Only God can save us. Our country has lost it ethics and morals. I see it every day; no one seems to care about anyone/anything except themselves. We'll destroy ourselves unless we practice loving service to one another. Most of those in power in Washington DC and around this USA are caught up in this greedy thing. God said, "The last shall go first".

There are great moral issues at stake, and where are our churches? Is it not immoral to buy votes by burdening our children and children's children with immeasurable debt? Please read the story from yesterday's Wall Street Journal about how the persecuted church in China is standing up to the communist regime while facing imprisonment and torture. We could learn a few things from Pastor Jin as we stand up to the feckless and irresponsible Obama.

It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening!
