PRESS RELEASE FROM FIRST COAST TEA PARTY REGARDING NAACP RESOLUTION

IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE STATEMENT

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.

Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” ~ Margaret Mead

Jacksonville, FL: July 14, 2010 – In lieu of the resolution passed by the NAACP condemning the Tea Party Movement as racist, the First Coast Tea party sadly releases the following formal statement as we stand up for those involved in this great American movement:

Since the inception of the First Coast Tea Party, the group has been explicit that the Tea Party Movement places no labels on anyone and is open to all who share our mission and want to have a voice in America’s future. In fact, First Coast Tea Party founders felt so strongly that all Americans, regardless of religion, gender and race, should be welcomed into the movement, they made the above statement part of the First Coast Tea Party’s mission, which can be found on the ABOUT page of the www.firstcoastteaparty.org website.

By condemning the Tea Party Movement as racist, with no evidence or formal allegations to back this claim, the NAACP has made it clear they wish to divide rather than unite our country’s citizens. At a time when our communities should join together and find solutions to the problems we face such as massive debt, growing unemployment and the oil spill, the NAACP instead spends their efforts, time and dollars writing resolutions.

We have much to do to Restore the Republic to its founding principles. We invite all who want to unite in this effort to join us as we work together to solve problems, hold our political servants accountable to the Constitution and it’s principles and we make a better world for our children and grandchildren to live in where unity prevails and everyone is proud to call themselves an American citizen.

UPDATE-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTE: After releasing this statement, we were contacted by two local television stations and one has a poll asking if you believe the Tea Party is racist. It would be good for you to take the poll and become a part of the results.

The poll can be found at: http://www.actionnewsjax.com/default.aspx

Something I just read - the recent attack by Obama and the White House on Arizona is to shore-up the Hispanic vote. This attack by the NAACP is to shore-up the black vote. Obama has told the Democrats in the House "I have your back" and has chided Robert Gibbs for saying that the Democrats could lose the House come November. So, take note.........the left election machine is now in full swing. We have to be ready for anything....ANYTHING. Pamela Gellar of Atlas Shrugs says the "October Surprise" will be something contrived to look as if the Tea Party did it (an attack of some type possibly?) and that will turn people away from the message of the conservatives. Don't know if that's true - but I just know we MUST be on guard and we MUST be galvanized in this and we MUST have the greatest show of solidarity we have had to this point!

I am a "big" facebooker person, and here are 3 articles that are on the home page of facebook this morning. Facebook is the largest social networking site on the internet, so these stories will reach a great many people and will post others I see during the course of today as I suspect there will be more each time I log on the site.

Did anyone watch Carl Rove on Bill O'Reilly last night? If you did, then you know he has indicated this is all very calculated and politically charged. Obama made an issue of Arizona to get the hispanic vote by using fear of the right and their desire to close the border. The NAACP is using the race card to help Obama get the black vote by making them fear the right, the tea party, Sarah Palin (they called her a racist yesterday too, and she defended the tea party movement). Rove said the only way they feel they can get the vote out for democrats is to use fear (because they don't have any real success they can point to .... because all of their programs have been a failure). You can't give them a platform to use, and in fact, instead of being apoligetic, it might almost be better to confront them with exactly what they are doing which is playing politics (as usual). The film clip that was posted is horrid, but it is contrived and does not, most certainly, represent the tea party motion. And thanks Joshua for you comments. I couldn't agree with you more. I think the NAACP will go the same way as the AARP who lost thousands and thousands of members over their support of the health care bill. As Billy said the NAACP did a great deal for their cause, but they are also supported by all sorts of people, and this attack on the tea party and Sarah Palin may lose them a good bit of that much needed financial support.

Remember......"first they ignore you" (check), "then they laugh at you" (check), "then they fight you" (this phase has now begun), "then you win" (in November). Don't lose heart, folks. We're right on track :)

I am sure you all know that Andrew Breitbart offered $100,000.00 to anyone who could come up with any racists actions made by the Tea Party in DC....no one has come forward because nothing happened.

I had heard that the opposition was going to plant imposters at our rallies to discredit us and that they are being funded by Grayson and a number of others. We must be watchful of people who would discredit our movement on purpose through their signs, etc. We must be proactive protecting our image and our message. This challenge is too important.. it is about America and what she has always stood for but has been underminded over the last 40 years.

The attacks on us are going to get stronger as stronger especially as this election nears...it is because they fear us and the impact we are having nationwide. We must remain committed as our founders were and stand our ground and encourage others to join us and stay with us right through 2012 and, if necessary, beyond that. It is my hope we have finally seen the sleeping giant, apathy, being replaced by activism and we cannot stop now.

The NAACP dark clouds loud thunder and no rain. They are just crowing and spitting lies its the last cry of pain before they die in November.

It must be remembered that only bigots call others racists as a means to unjustly attack them.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
