Today is Sunday and this is the day we take time to spend in mediation with our God. This is also a day of rest and we hope you find some for yourself in this beautiful day the Lord has made.

As you mediate and rest, please ask for protection and guidance on things of great importance in our lives. There are many evil people and organizations who hate us and want to see our demise and our leaders are nowhere to be found. The feeling of protection in our world is just not there right now and we feel vulnerable on many fronts. Here are just a few examples of those vulnerabilities.

National Security: In the guise of helping bring food to Gaza, evil once again tried to push their way in and were not there for humanitarian purposes. A post by Pat McBride, one of our tea party community leaders, tells you more about this along with a video showing heavy arms found on board that ship. Thank you Pat for sending this our way and note her thoughts about our leader – President Obama. Leadership on the wrong side of the track and one day we could be facing a similar issue in our own ports. Abortion: In another posting by Pat, she points out that Governor Charlie Crist had the opportunity to save babies from a horrible death through one small act of ensuring a ultrasound was shown to the parents prior to the abortion. Charlie had indicated he was a pro-life candidate but his true colors showed up this week when he bowed to political pressure hoping to gain needed votes for the Senate race. Media: We sure as heck took a beating this week with the media and next week does not look too promising either. (We have heard that MSNBC will be showing a documentary on the tea party movement beginning June 14^th where it ties us to the Militia. Nice huh?)

This past week, a local free paper, Folio Weekly, printed a horrible lie about the tea party movement. The uproar from the local tea party has been huge and we are doing what we can to counter this attack on our free speech. Here are some thoughts:

· The writer did not interview any of us and get to know the people of the tea party movement. His article was based on his own assumptions and we do not call that reporting. We thought newspaper were for reporting not posting hate filled articles with no facts or truth. We will be writing the editor asking for our turn to write an article so we can get the “other side of the story” out.

· They posted a picture of a local person with his homemade sign on the front cover. They did not have permission to use his image and he is looking into what his options are.

· We have created a list of their advertisers and a list of the locations/stores/restaurants where these papers are placed free for their patrons. We will be making calls this week to ask them:

o Why would you advertise in such a hate-filled newspaper?

o Why would you allow this paper to be placed in your establishment?

o Do you agree with this article?

o Would you be willing to stop advertising in this paper?

· NOTE: WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE A STRONG STOMACH TO MAKE THESE CALLS FROM OUR OFFICE THIS WEEK. IF YOU ARE ABLE TO BE FIRM YET NICE, PLEASE CONTACT US AT (904) 683-3945. WE ARE LOOKING FOR 4 PEOPLE TO HELP WITH THIS PROJECT AND WE PLAN TO START MAKING CALLS TUESDAY. WE PREFER TO MAKE THE CALLS FROM THE OFFICE SO WE CAN SUPPORT EACH OTHER AND DISCUSS ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS.

o NOTE: If you decide to make calls or go to establishments on your own to discuss this matter, please be respectful and nice. Let us know what they say. We will gather information and share it with our membership and each individual member can decide if they want to support the advertisers or establishments.
