THIS TUESDAY: PRIMARY IN FLORIDA -- THROW THE BUMS OUT

History shows that most people sit out the primaries and wait for the big Election Day in November. The problem with that thought -- you are allowing everyone else to decide who gets on the November ballot. You are smarter than that so don’t let it happen this time. Decide who you want on the ballot and let your voice be heard. Go vote Tuesday and take your neighbors with you.

FIRST COAST TEA PARTY PRIMARY PARTY: We are hosting a party at the First Coast Tea Party headquarters Tuesday night beginning at 6:30. For more information and to RSVP, please go to: http://www.fctpcommunity.org/events/primary-night-viewing-party. We are limited in space so your RSVP is needed by Monday at 5:00 p.m.

2010 ELECTIONS: Stay informed by visiting Liberty Central’s 2010 Election page at http://www.libertycentral.org/23958-2010-08 where you can find up to the date information about the top 30 races in America.

MILITARY VOTES: NOT BEING COUNTED: MOVE Act Under Scrutiny

Read more about the 45 day deadline that may hinder our military from voting in November. Michael Connelly at www.FreedomTorch.com has the whole story and we encourage you to read it and pass it along to your friends in any of these states. To not let our military men and women vote can only be sized up in two words – VOTER FRAUD! Don’t let it happen.

A SPECIAL LETTER TO OUR FELLOW TEA PARTY MEMBERS

Most of us in the tea party movement are – as some have called us-- “political novices.” In the last few weeks, we have been taunted by some of our own tea party members who were previously staunch political party lifers. When the tea party movement started, they came to our meetings and loved what we were doing. We were shining the light on issues and they were thrilled we had awakened. We became the place where they could be energized and motivated again outside their party. They loved us and used us to benefit their issues. They worked with us on special projects against corrupt legislation and even donated to the movement.

That was then and this is now. Now is election time and some of those who were with us have returned to the party camps. They believe and have told us -- we have no place at the table and will damage the elections. We were threatened by some and even had hate mail circulating to others about us and the good work we have done.

We are not alone in this issue. The tea party leaders all over Florida are getting the same treatment. We feel like a bucket of fish being thrown into a swamp of hungry gators YET while the gators chomp and roll all over each other to get us – we quickly swim off as the current and the one who holds the force of nature help us survive.

Not only has the tea party been trashed by those who were with us, the candidates who were with their own party are being violated as well. Gone are the good old days of parties staying true to each other until the primaries were over.

Endorsements are coming out of the woodwork too and we encourage you to do your homework to see who is “behind the curtain” of each endorsement. Two tea party organizers in Florida have done some investigation and have uncovered some disturbing information. See for yourself from Central Florida Tea Party Organizer, TomT. His post can be found at http://www.orlandopoliticalpress.com/2010/08/21/who-will-bill-mccollum-represent/ and one of the Southwest Florida Tea Party organizers, RobinS. also has a revealing post at http://dailysmarts.blogspot.com/ .

Tea Party organizers are joining forces to uncover these issues and these games being played on the Florida voter. It’s not nice to be mean to tea party members and organizers. We’ve worked hard and all we want is Limited Government, Personal Responsibility and Moral Leadership. Is that too much to ask?

Vote Tuesday and Vote for those who stand on principle, who can lead with integrity and who have our back and not the backing of special interests or the big political machine.

May God Save the USA and forgive those who use dirty tricks in politics.

To Tracy: The "establishment" did have their chosen candidate, Bill McCollum. Bill's a good man, and one that I would have supported wholeheartdly if it weren't for Rick Scott entering the race.
Now that we have our candidate, it remains to be seen whether the state GOP does the right thing by quickly and loudly supporting our Gubernatorial candidate.

If not, they'll NEVER see another penny or phone call from me on behalf of GOP candidates.!

I fully understand, now, why the TEA Party dosn't endorse specific candidates. There are corrupting influences out there who will take advantage of even my own naviete, and endorse candidates that may not have my interests at heart. Bobbie has the right idea. Educate the membership by providing important data about the candidates, and leave the voting decision up to each member of the TEA Party.

Glenn writes:
"The RLC calls itself the conscience of the Republican Party but what if the Tea Party was the Republican Party?"

I was involved with them for a short while until I realized how "far out" on the fringe they are with the conspiratorial WACKO stuff. The leadership of the local and Florida RLC is an awful mess! Without going into detail, THEY are the reason I became involved with the great people here at the Tea Party. :-)

About working from within the Republican party for "change"...I can't help but wonder about the lack of acceptance of Rick Scott's candidacy in the GOP. I certainly have my suspicions, but I'll keep my peace for another day or two until the GOP get's it's $%*& together!

Changing the party politics won't happen from being outside and if we expect the parties to just embrase us because we are good and right we are being naive. Good and right have always been there it just wasn't organized without the corrupting influences that exist within the parties. Those corrupting influences will of course try to infiltrate the Tea Party, that is the natural course. Expecting politicans to listen to us when we have nothing to do with where they are is also naive and getting our hands dirty with the job of cleaning the parties can be the only answer. The RLC calls itself the conscience of the Republican Party but what if the Tea Party was the Republican Party? Do we think the Republican Party is more than it's members? Eternal vigilance is not just the watching, it means doing something when the call is given. The British are not coming, they are running the political parties, our "soil" and the only system in existence that can change our nation. Dont vote, can't gripe. Aren't in a party working to change it don't expect it to.

I did not suggest he had no right to run but if he had done the ground work like, say for instance, Mike Yost and gotten his name known perhaps his effort at this time would have made more sense

I went back and found this article for you,in it McCalister says he was not invited to debate the other 2 candidates.I'd also like to clarify that when I say establishment I don't just mean the party establishment but the media as well.If it weren't for the new media,we probably wouldn't be sitting here chatting on the subject right now.
Speaking of party establishment I hear that the repub that's losing in Alaska is asking for a lawyer and a recount against her primary opponent.

The more I think about your statement below the more odd it becomes. When you say he came in with no chance of winning and gave the nomination to Rick it seems to imply that the nomination was supposed to go to McCollum, almost like he was the pre chosen candidate of the establishment republicans and McCalister somehow through a monkey wrench in the works. McCalister qualified for nomination and ran and he had every right to do so. I applaud his efforts. Its not an easy thing to run for office.

He was not ignored. If he had submitted literature we would have handed it out. If he had made himself known more widely he would have been included in the debates and speaking opportunities statewide at luncheons and REC meetings. I have been an active volunteer at booths and events and never saw any literature on him.

I don't think he intended to spoil anything. He did go around florida and he spoke with several different tea party groups from what I understand. He was ignored by establishment republicans and pretty much left out of any meaningful debates.I was impressed that he managed to catch such a large % considering that he had next to no coverage.Very surprising.

I guess my question is..why did he come in at the end with no chance of winning just to act as a spoiler giving the nomination to Rick Scott? Why didn't he enter early, do the campaigning hard work, getting known to the voters?

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
