TODAY'S THE DAY: GO TO THE POLLS AND VOTE

Why Vote?

You think your one vote will not make a difference. If you take that thought and multiply it by hundreds who are thinking like you - it does make a difference. A big difference.

So Why Vote?

It seals your status as a citizen; it’s what citizens do. Politics is about shaping society so that the people within it can flourish.

As you drive down the streets of North Florida today and see the abandoned buildings, for sale signs on every corner and the highways with less traffic, remember this - Politics and Politicians put us into this deep recession and they need to be held accountable.

The only way you can do that is by VOTING.

So - get going. The polls are open until 7:00 p.m. tonight so you have plenty of time.

Your one vote will make a difference. Your voice can be heard.

Oh yeah - say a prayer as you close that curtain. Ask for wisdom and guidance as you check the appropriate box. Make sure you vote for someone who does not repeat political sound bites, can think for themselves, who doesn't tow the party line and says what they think and believe. That sounds a lot like being politically incorrect and you are right. We are the tea party movement - and we are not in the hip pocket of any political party.

Let's roll...

Hi, i do not consider myself to be a stupid person, that said, i guess i am. I have always been a registered republican, i am 52. When George W. Bush, authorized the attack on Iraq, unnecessary in my opinion, i was mad, we were already at war with Afghanistan. I changed party's to Independent. I did not know until today i could not vote for Florida Gov., or Sen.. I was only allowed to vote for a judge. I assumed ind's could vote either side. I have paid a heavy price for not researching this matter. I hope no one else made this mistake.

Good point, Tom. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. How can we clean up the problems when we elect the very people who helped create the problems to begin with?

I voted last Friday, and I was very careful about my vote.
I believe the current office holders are responsible for their actions, so I did not vote for any incumbent, nor any career politicians.
A new broom sweeps clean, throw the bums out.
Just my opinion.

I tell people every time we vote, we choose the lesser of the two evils, because Jesus isn't on the ballot. People are fallible and imperfect and every candidate is going to have flaws and skeletons in the closet - that's just the nature of having to deal with human beings. But like you said, Sandy, NOT voting is not an option!!

There is nothing more important to do today than vote. The decisions we make today will determine our choices in November. As you said, Billie, this is about shaping society. Look at the shape our society is in right now as a result of the vote in 2008. How many people thought it didn't matter whether or not they voted then, or didn't vote because they didn't like the choices left on the final ballot? If you have to choose between what you feel is "the lesser of 2 evils," then choose the lesser of 2 evils!! NOT voting is a decision to let others choose for you. Vote today to help decide who will be on the final ballot in November. Elections have consequences.

It amazes me that after all we've seen and experienced the past two years, we are still having to beg people to go vote. Makes you wonder how bad things are truly going to have to get before people give a darn.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
