Thank you for those kind words Patricia it is nice that even though we don't see eye to eye and today we have disagreed vigorously we can still stop to say a kind word so I do thank you very much for that. 

 

My mother raised me by herself for my entire life and like you I didn't have as much as others but I had love and a mother that taught me a good work ethic not just in words but in actions.  She wasn't perfect, as no parent is, but she tried her best and gave me morals in the end that is what we should be striving to give our children not stuff.  Stuff without a foundation is just that stuff but with a proper foundation it becomes meaningful. 

 

Mr. Davis what you described is exactly right and Barney Frank is the one main one but he had help passing the legislation that caused the problem so it cannot all be heaped on him even though the majority of it is on him. 

The connections that you speak about between the politicians, the banks, and the Fed are were are problems come in and I hope that we can come together as Americans and kick all of the corrupt politicians out and replace them with ones that actually take the oath they take seriously. 

After that we need to go after the Fed and at least force them to have an audit that opens their books to the American people.  I have a feeling once that happens and the people see what they have done and how they have done it there will be no stopping the End the Fed movement and then maybe we can return to the gold standard.

After those two things I hope campaign finance reform is next and something real not like McCain-Finegold that just made the problem worse. 

I know it is going to take a serious effort on the part of many Americans to get that done because we will be taking away power from the politicians and I think we can all agree that they are not going to go down without a fight.  Let alone the lobbylist, bankers, and others that will be negatively impacted by that kind of shift in America.

 

We can do it if we stick together and encourage one another and realize who our true enemy is.  Once we deal with those issues we can debate the other stuff but many of our other problems will not seem like such big problems once we have tackled those things.

No one has mentioned What these Zombies are going to do tommorrow by taking over the Hemmingway Plaza, Our Homeless has Squatters Rights to the Jacksonville Plaza and arent they entitled to Quite Enjoyment, The Jax Police should rack them up on to Flat Bed Trucks and after Water Boarding them through  the Showers somewhere, throw the Human Waste in Jail for a month or two without bail.

These Two have a 100% Trac record of FAILURE.   As for us Failure is not an option. We will Work against every thing they stand for !  If they ever Figure out just what they are littering up the streets for.

Blame Wall Street and its umbilical connection to executive posts such as Fannis Mae & Freddy Mac.  People that need prosecuting are Barney Frank and his "goodbuddy", Franklin Raines who headed FM & FM.  In his "tenure", he reaped at least $30M, PERSONALLY!!!  The "Green Flag" dropped when Bush lost the House & Senate in January 2009.  The SEC & FTC was duplicitous in looking the other way, to the extent that they allowed the "Wall Street Bankers" "bundle" bad mortgages, not declare them as liabilities (not list them at all) and sell them as assets, from which the Federal Reserve allowed them to borrow more money.  Remember, the Fannis and Freddy ENCOURAGED people to take loans that weren't able to afford them.  It was easier to buy a house than rent an apartment.  Ignorant people were duped by real estate (commission earners) to think they were "dealers" to "flip" the houses for a big profit.  What's happening is the same consequence as Hoover in 1928 disallowing the use of exhorbitant "margins".  Margins were called and people started jumping out of skyscraper windows.  What comes to mind is Hussein "blowing" into a giant life raft supporting the failed economy.

Amazingly Dann, that is what my parents taught me.  We were dirt poor when I was a child.  I didn't notice it cause I didn't know about such things and Mom and Dad worked hard to make sure we had a childhood and always had a nice clean bed and were well fed.  I have never envied someone else for what they had and have always been happy with what we had and sometimes it wasn't nearly what others had................but that is now and always was ok!  Too bad others were not raised to really not covet things that were not theirs that they had not worked for and earned!  Most of the folks that get those big fat pay checks at one point or another have had to do without much and work their tails off to get where they are!

You are right Steve.  Both sides do it, and no I don't like movie stars, but they chose the career path knowing it would pay well if they were good at what they did................as anyone does and thus far has a right to.  Good for you planning to be one of the rich guys :).............planning is everything and I hope you make it as you certainly have the right attitude!  And as long as you are willing to invest your time on such an endeavor, I am not sure what business it is of the protesters on wall street who don't seem to understand time is a wasting for them!

Maybe someone can answer something kind of related and kind of not.  Why is it that people get so up in arms about executives but no one ever complains about actors and sports stars making what most would consider obscene amounts of money.  Both groups are overpaid as far as I'm concerned but no one complains about the later.  I'm with Dann I don't personally care what anyone makes and I plan on being one of those rich people one day that makes what many would consider obscene amounts of money.

 

I do care that government ensures liberty and freedom and I don't see our current government doing that and that is my problem.  I want politicians that will be honest and uphold their oath of upholding the Constitution and I don't care if they have a R or D behind their name.  I see issues on both sides were they essentially wipe their collective backsides with the Constitution on an almost daily basis.  Yes I think the Dems do it more but that doesn't absolve the Republicans from their wrongs.  Trying to defend one wrong by saying the other side does it more to me qualifies as insanity and gets us no where but further divided as a country.
