Ladies and Gentlemen:  We are presently in Washington, DC for a Values Voter Summit.  Values Voters Summit is made up of Conservative organizations who come together to learn from each other.

During our stay we have been with many who went to the Occupy DC "March" just to see what was going on.   To see it first hand is to watch an organized group of communists, thugs and mis-guided people shout about things they do not even understand.  It has been revealed this am that Van Jones PAID for hispanics to carry signs which they could not read or understand.

Nancy Pelosi said the Tea Party Movement was astroturf and today we call her out about that statement.  This Occupy Protest IS Astroturf and manufactured by the left to ensure Obama gets re-elected.   The people who are showing up are violent and have damaged property and hurt other people.  This is escalating and although we laugh at these people because they can't even say why they are there  -- we urge our members to be careful and stay away from these "so called protests."

We have watched our blogs and one or two in this tea party are stating they will go to these protests and stand with these Communists.  Let it be known that should you do that - you do not represent the tea party movement.  You are there as individuals and you have no authority to speak on behalf of the First Coast Tea Party.  We also question if you are a true tea party believer or if you are in here solely as a mole for your own personal beliefs.

In no way would tea party members stand with Communists - they are the complete opposite of who we are.

Go to their website at www.occupywallstreet.org and you can see the names of the organizations behind this uprising.  Do we stand with these people or these organizations?

God bless you and stay safe.

It is interesting to note that those who complain about Wall Street "greed" and corporate "greed" ignore a more insidious and damaging greed: government greed. It is government greed in the form of overspending and overtaxation that is ruining this country.

A few years ago, when the economy was good, no one complained about Wall Street. Now that the economy is bad, due to bad government policies, the blame gets shifted to Wall Street. Why? Because faceless corporations are an easy target for class warfare proponents. And that is what these demonstrations are all about. This is an attempt by this administration to shift the focus and the debate from the bad policies that are damaging our economy to a scapegoat, namely "the rich."

Obama wants to increase taxes rather than cut spending, and his bait for his tax increase is suggesting that only the "rich" will pay more taxes. That is just not credible, because multiple economists have stated many times that the amounts collected from these taxes would not be enough to balance the budget. So, something else is afoot.

Let's not get fooled by these demonstrations, they are just a gimmick. Ignore them, and they will go away.

Sorry Steve, You are correct, I misread a post. There are many on this board who are misguided, you do not seem to be one of them. I apologize.

Phyl you are right.  For everyone on here I have been arguing with I apologize.  We do need to work on common ground and there is some there even if it is a small patch.  I hope everyone has a blessed day and again I apologize for losing sight of what we are fighting for and it is not WHO is right it is WHAT is right.

Please people can we get back to our common ground of wanting the best for this country?

Let's see... we can ignore the people heading to the streets and call them all commies... by the way there are 650 signed up currently to attend the "Occupy Jacksonville" meeting tomorrow at Noon at Hemming Plaza... OR... We might choose to join them and try to recruit them to understand that the true issues that run much deeper than the left/right political paradigm that we debate at length.

AGAIN, The Oath Keepers (not commies) are planning to "OCCUPY the Occupy Wall Street" and join the concerned Americans in the street today and tomorrow. They are planning to SHIFT the focus to the Federal Reserve Bank, the true ROOT of our misery in this country.

Mr. Newberry I know what the Tea Party was founded on what about any of my comments makes you think otherwise.  The reasons you labeled are why I joined the Tea Party and it saddens me to see the party being hijacked by the GOP just like you.

I haven't actually been on your side throughout this entire debate so it really is odd that you are saying I don't understand what the Tea Party is about since I have sided with you.

This is my full statement that you are talking about.  If you read the whole thing I'm not saying that the Tea Party has fueled this movement I said that the same anger that fueled the Tea Party is the same anger that is fueling this movement.  For someone that says they don't like people misrepresenting them you sure as hell did it to me.

"These kids are pissed at some of the same things that started the Tea Party they may not understand it on the same level but the anger that started the Tea Party has fueled this movement and it has been allowed to be steered towards anti-capitalism and hate the rich"

As far as your comments here is the one I was talking about "And for those who keep demonizing BIG COMPANIES, ask this IF they are breaking the law then why aren't charges being brought against them? You can NOT legislate high ethics, or integrity, that comes from society. You want a government that legislates morals, morality? Then you will have a government of tyranny."

That sounds to me like a defense of big companies and by saying why aren't charges brought against them you are missing the whole idea of what crony capitalism is.  it is politicians passing laws and special favors for their big time campaign contributors.

If you meant something else by it please explain.  If you want to read the whole comment you made it is going to be back on the 4th or 5th page.  Again if I misunderstood you please explain.

Frances Fox Piven sure likes the Occupy crowd. Several have linked to the video where she addresses them saluting them for what they're trying to achieve. That whole speaking truth to power thing.

But when it comes to the Tea Party she's not quite so ... Well, you listen to the audio:

(Wish I knew how to upload stuff like this rather than posting the link, but I don't so there it is.)

Douglas, the Republicans HAVE NOT hijacked the TeaParty, you are clearly clueless also. I am just amazed at the misinformation here. Reading your previous posts, your comments tell us all exactly where you are coming from.

I am thankful for the honest and honorable people here who actually get it. I will proudly stand with them.

If you can not figure that out, then you truly are ....

Amanda;

You offer a false choice and a red herring. I do not stand with 1% or 99%. I stand with liberty. There is no other nation on earth-at least until recently-that offered the kind of opportunity and standard of living available here in America.

As to the Koch Brothers, they made a fortune in oil refining. They have given millions to the Heritage Foundation, and they employ thousands. This is good. They reportedly circumvented a ban on doing business with Iran. That is bad. So, the Koch brothers do good things and they do bad things. So?

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
