WE NEED YOUR INPUT IN THE NEXT 3 HOURS PLEASE

The phones are ringing off the hook for tea party interviews regarding the possible Government shutdown.  This is the biggest news in a long time and they want to hear from us.

We have our opinion and hope to hear yours.

What do you think about this potential shutdown?

I will be on WTLV from 5:30 - 6:00 on a panel discussing this matter.

I would love to share your thoughts with them.

Billie,

The easy times are gone. We must now pay the piper. The Democrat and Republicans are complicit in affixing the dire straits that our nation is struggling with, and probably destined to lose.  Lets grasp at this straw and shut down  irresponsible government. However long it takes. "Tomorrow happened yesterday."

I would LOVE to see the GOOBERMENT shut down and never reopen!  All the political posturing and posing is just more of the same old nonsense we've been seeing from Washington for generations.  The Dems trying to blame the Reps - and vice versa - is akin to Nero fiddling while Rome burned.  The business of running the country goes undone while this nonsense plays out.  It's all baloney (not my FIRST choice of words let me tell you!), there's no true shutdown at hand.  When Obama's paycheck bounces - when Harry Reid's paycheck bounces - when the Soc Sec checks don't arrive in the mail - THEN we'll have a shut down worthy of all the wailing and gnashing of teeth.  And on that day I'll rejoice - FINALLY this evil levitathan government will be removed and Liberty will return to America!

The bottom line is this was supposed to be done last year.  Last year when the Democrates had both the House, Senate and Executive branches under their control.  I guess only a community organizer would think that a business (the largest one in the country) does not need a budget!

We pray for courage for our elected officials to stand firm against runaway spending by the Federal government.  It needs to get back to the basics according to the Constitution and away from trying to be our mother!

I've been watching FOX all day and If I hear Harry Reid say anything else about women being denied health care and no Cherry Blossom festival I'm going to shot my TV. REALLY !!!!  This is worst then Cowboy Poetry.   John Bohrner is not much better.  Someone up there needs to grow a backbone.  I say shut it down.  At this point I'm done with all of them.  They're all a bunch of cry baby thumb suckers!!

First, the damage of the potential shut-down has been accumulating for several months.  I compare it to the hurricanes a few years back, we were all in hurricane planning mode many times basically losing several months of productive time.  This government shut-down issue with its many extensions and no resolution - has caused lost dollars through on-again, off-again planning.  Corporations and government entities have spent untold hours planning for this over and over again throughout the past several months.   Does anyone realize what it takes to stop the machine and then restart it?  Microplanning takes place, who will be there, who will not, what if this happens, what if?  Government contracting companies, what do we do with our employees?  How will we cover the costs involved with temporary layoffs? It's just a mess costing you and me millions/billions!

Let's get real, I would love to say shut er' down but the fact is that they (both parties) are wasting millions and potentially billions because they can't get their job done.

Stay the course . However don't let Boehner behind closed doors without backup. He wanted to compromise the day he got the Gavel. Shut it down unless we get all we're after . Let the Mavericks run it . They have the guts and the intelligence to make it happen . Boehner and the old guard have nothing to offer .

Billie, make it known, in no uncertain terms that this government shutdown is primarily becasue the Democrats did not do their jobs in 2010, as required by law. Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama renegged in their duty to formulate and pass a budget for fiscal 2011. The ONLY reason their is a budget battle is they DID NOT DO THEIR JOBS.

After that, you are correct to say there is no longer ANY room for negotiation. EIther we confront the greatest threat of our time or we let a bunch of spoiled rich liberal children pretend there is no crisis. Then we can ALL dig in for the result of childish liberal behavior.

The people elected the leaders who represent our beliefs last November. If the president and his colleagues refuse to work with those officials we elected, then let them shut down! Pay the military at all cost, but don't back sown from the debt restructuring (cuts) we have to put in place. Hold firm!

Just a few years we heard from so many "truth to power."  Where are they now?  Consider also the opposite, "lies to the powerless."  If the government does shut down, it may turn out to be less dire than many predict.  The fighters need to keep in mind that, according to the constitution, all spending originates in the House, which did flip last election.  That has long been called the power of the purse.  To abandon the constitution here is a lot more dangerous than to expect the government, like the people been told for a long time now, to make do with less.  To make do with less does imply that there will be hardship.  Like people who went upside down on a house and lost it after several years of paying a mortgage, maybe?  Every hard case has to be presented by some though like a national disaster where the government could save this poor soul.  Wait until you see 100% inflation in a year, then you'll see hardship.  Here's a clue, the camel's nose is in the tent now.  Look at the price of corn, the price of gasoline, and the price of silver.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
