Shut down all non-essential services and that would include the Senate as they have not done their job.

One does not have to look in-depth to see the vast waste caused by the intervention of the Federal Government into areas that are best managed locally with local sensibilities. Exhibit 1 is the Depart of Education which was formed in 1979 and every year since, we have seen our public schools become increasingly dis-functional. Operating budgets, burdened with a vast number of administrative employees have emerged. It is reported that the budget for 2011 is $69 BILLION  - this was zero dollars in 1979. 

See the following link to gain a perspective of how vast this Department has become. One must remember what public education was for the older of us and contrast that to what public education has become under the US Department of Education.

This is one of many examples of why the Tea Party gives voice to my personal principals that the federal government should be limited to the direction of the Constitution. It has become to big and unaccountable while it devours vast sums of our limited resources.

I think there is too much conflicting information coming from the media as to what's going on, who's responsible and what the consequences will be.  I strongly believe Planned Parenthood should be defunded.

For the first time in a long time I am proud (sound familiar? ) of the GOP. They are standing their ground on what we sent them to Washington to accomplish. They have put forth one of the best budgets I have seen come out of Washington in years. It cuts 6 Trillion dolllars in spending over the next 10 years and reforms a lot of departments and programs that should have been fixed years ago. I hope they continue to fight for the American people who want this kind of change and hope! And if that means a government shutdown, then so be it.

The point I would make is that this budget should have been done months ago and the democrat party lead by Obama , Reid and Pelosi are the only ones to blame for this potential shutdown and should bear the full ramifications of not doing the budget when it was supposed to  done. The republican party is doing exactly what the people voted them into office to do stnad tough. Make sure that the blame is falling solely onto the democrats as well it should be.

I think it is a sorry shame that the Soldiers on the frontlines will not be paid if there is a shutdown. It shows exactly what the "Commander and Chief" is made of. The shutdown would not be happening if Congress had prepared a budget last year and not kept kicking the can down the road. They are totally irresponsible. Once we past this obstacle we need to focus an impeaching this man.

How about this? We cannot afford to give away money and services all over the world and be involved in any wars where American interests are not at risk.
How about just sticking to the responsibilities outlined in the Constituion for the government to follow?
our military. Period. What a radical thought right?
Government has destroyed almost everything it touches. We the people CAN and DO take care of our own. Lately though our government is making it harder and harder to do just that.
bottom line.......if we have to borrow money to run all these departments and aide etc etc then politicians have proven to be reckless with money in the first place. This has got to stop.
Too much corruption, waste and a really lazy media has led to this.

Today business news is all about gold and silver pushing new highs, oil the highest since 2008, Congress talking about shut down, and the dollar the lowest since 2009.  The real story is about

George Soros starting Bretton Woods III and there is not one word about it.  These events are

connected.  200 people connected to Soros are in attendance.  Paul Volcher is in attendance.  The

topic is replacing the dollar as the reserve currency. The Congress and their token cuts and shut down will not be long remembered; the loss of reserve status for the dollars will be a historical

moment.
