WE NEED YOUR INPUT IN THE NEXT 3 HOURS PLEASE

The phones are ringing off the hook for tea party interviews regarding the possible Government shutdown.  This is the biggest news in a long time and they want to hear from us.

We have our opinion and hope to hear yours.

What do you think about this potential shutdown?

I will be on WTLV from 5:30 - 6:00 on a panel discussing this matter.

I would love to share your thoughts with them.

this is a game of chicken. The Repub need to go public with ideas and postion. Obama is going to play the game I told you so and they would not listen so it is not my fault. The Repub's must be vocal.

I have no problem with shutting down non essential services

It is very disappointing that Congress did not pass a budget last year as they were supposed to.  Then to blame the republicians who did develop and passed a budget but not even presenting a democratic alternative is shameful.  Unfortunately I think the republicians need to stand firm and don't blink.  The situation can easily get resolved over the weekend if the Sentate wakes up and votes on the bill. At that point the ball is in the President's court and he'd better not flinch.

Because the Dems won't budge...I think the gov. should shut down...(it will only be for a few days, I believe) as most of the workers will be gov employees, ....maybe they will see that they are not the majority and have to do what is best for the average American.  Scale down the liberal union perks....they do not have to use the Obama Care like they are pushing on the average non-union American.  That goes for the teachers union also.....too many perks for the union people, that we the average Americans have to pay for.....

The Republicans and Boener should stand firm and no cave.   This is just one more anti-american tactic of the Obama Administration.  I think they should do some good OLD fashioned horse trading and Just Keep Going up on the Budgets Cuts....each time the dems and Obama take such a tact.

I think it is ironic that th military is paying the price for the government refusing to mae a budge for the past two years.  Also, this is Obama's war.  he talked about it nonstop during his campaign, and then he has the nerve to deprive these brave soldiers and their families - but God forbid they should stop funding abortions - not to save lives, but simply because people could not control themselves.  We shoul run some commercials ridiculing the Democrats.  Play recordings of them refusing to balance the budget LAST YEAR.  Show all the ridiculous things they are spending our money on.  The media is certainly not going to cover it.

It is hard to believe that our servants (ie govt) are making demands of its keepers.  They need to be shutdown.  Too big to fail....ha.  They spend our money on their re-election campaigns.....how absurd is that?  We are the United (stress united) States....not the Fifty Fifedoms of Washington DC.

I am in awe of the blantant disregard for our soldiers, literally putting baby butchers' welfare ahead of somebody who defend their right to be so misguided.

Maybe this shutdown will be the start of the New Revolution, the beginning of the end of the stench of liberalism and a dawn of righteousness.

If the only sticking point is planned parenthood, I'm not happy. Send the bill with all 60+ billon dollars in cuts and let the Senate deal with it. We vote for a reason and this reason was spending, not planned parenthood.

Our government must cut spending dramatically, however the Republicans must remain strong even if it means a government shut down. Republicans must not allow the Democrats to get away with saying budget cuts will starve granny and small children. The Republicans must capture the moral high ground by saying that it is immoral to shackle future generations with enslaving debt. Republicans must say in the strongest possible terms that it is immoral to lavish money on democrat special interest vote buying like public unions while our children's learning scores decline. Republicans must say that Obama care is not only going to beggar America, but it will give the government the right to who lives and who dies-and that is immoral. The Republicans must state that the growth of government chokes economic growth and the job market, and that is immoral. The Republican need to be careful not to sound like CPA's, it's not just the money, it's whether America continues as a free country or a socialist slave state.

I have heard that "when you are in a hole, quit digging". Our country is in the hole in a big way.

Maybe the US needs to declare bankruptcy and really clean up the mess Washington has created.

Spending money we do not have is insane.

The Democrats have not voted on a budget since 2009.  If the government has to be shut down, the fault is with the Democrats, not the Republicans .  The Republicans are only trying to act responsibly in harnessing this out of control spending.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
