WE NEED YOUR INPUT IN THE NEXT 3 HOURS PLEASE

The phones are ringing off the hook for tea party interviews regarding the possible Government shutdown.  This is the biggest news in a long time and they want to hear from us.

We have our opinion and hope to hear yours.

What do you think about this potential shutdown?

I will be on WTLV from 5:30 - 6:00 on a panel discussing this matter.

I would love to share your thoughts with them.

This is the last opportunity for the Republicans to save this great nation.  We either do it now or never. Damn the media, the Democrats and the liberals who are using the scare tactics that the world is ending, the nation will cease to exist, and the ladies who might have to pay for their own abortions or learn about contraceptives.  We tax-paying citizens have had ENOUGH.  Cut the government, cut the illegal immigrants and lets return to the values that made this nation great.  Corky Heft

If the demands of "We the people" given to the Republicans in Congress are not held to, and accepted by the Spend and Waste remaining part of our Government, Then there will be no other choice but to SHUT IT DOWN in its tracks,    AMERICA has to realize there is "NO AMOUNT OF MONEY THESE TAX AND SPEND liberal Democrat and Republicans alike  CANNOT OUT SPEND.   THERE IS A BOTTOM IN THE MONEY BUCKET AND WE ARE THERE.

I am a tea party member who lives from paycheck to paycheck pretty much. I don't really care if the govt. shuts down for a while....it would probably be good for thge country. What I don't understand is WHY. Everyone knows that we're in debt up to our chin. We have to cut back. What's the alternative? Running up the credit card further? How is that fair to the next couple of generations? I don't care about the abortion issue but why should I have to pay for someone's abortion. Pay for your own damn abortion. It's one of the many things that need to be cut. Stop playing politics with this issue and balance the freakin' budget. What's the deal?

The Dems will blame us for it. They already say the Tea Party is holding the Pepublicans hostage ? We need to turn this around and show the people how the Dems are wanting to spend and spend and blame the shut down on us.

My apologies.  I forget to say go ahead and shut it down.  It can't get worse.

The very idea that we cannot cut a tiny fraction of a budget of over a trillion dollars is absurd. I believe that we are on the very edge of a monetary collapse of the US dollar that will be disastrous to our great nation. Democrats have maintained their relevance for decades by doling out others people's money. Now there is no more "others people’s money" and the charge account is maxed out. The only way Dems can remain relevant is pretending to protect the "needy" in the face of budget cuts. I am afraid they, with the help of the liberal media, will succeed in demagoguing the cuts to death in which case the markets will make the final call which will be disastrous. The term "shutting down the government" is ludicrous. The vast majority of government will keep on operating as usual. The only concern I have regarding a shutdown is the effect it will have on military families. I would prefer our president designate all military and their families as "essential" so that they would keep on receiving their checks. Other than that, I would prefer the government "shut down" in order to start a precedent regarding budget cuts.

The cheapest and one of the most effective means of limiting federal government spending would cost next to nothing. Simply have national elections on April 14, the day before federal taxes are due.

I am all for the Government shutting down as for the Obama Administration wanting funding for climate change, well that is God's job not Obama's. Abortion funding? No way, why should we go into debt when when women use this means as birth control? I also think that is God's job. Obama needs to quit with playing God and just stick to the job of relieving this country of anymore debt.

The republicans are not holding firm.  They abandoned their moral/social/political center years ago when Newt Gingrich failed to keep their word on reducing profligate spending on trivial projects and inefficient government bureaucracies.  Unfortunately, professional politicians have learned to dodge the real issues and spend you and me into a deeper hole than we can dig out of for a long time, if ever.  There is not much common sense making it to the surface of politically acceptable dialogue, which means that little is actually being done to remedy the underlying problems of having our hands in everyone else's pocket books and piggy banks.  PS: While you weren't looking, or thinking, your piggy bank was morphed into a quaint item to be placed on the corner what-not shelf when the Federal Reserve System stole all the value of the money you had in it.

Most tea party people will probably not care as they do not live pay check to pay check.  Only people not paying attention to what has been going on are that dumb.  Meet your needs but stay below your means.  My husband and I have always had to live within a budget.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
