TU: Capitol Notebook: Redistricting created complications during legislative session

I am not sure where this goes from here as the house maps were approved, but the senate maps were not approved.  There are 8 districts on the senate maps that are in question and the seats are held by both republicans and democrats.  No mention of where the state and court goes from here.

March 11, 2012

It’s over.

After weeks of chaos, the state has a $70 million budget, several new laws and newly drawn political maps (sort…

TU: Jacksonville companies might pay for mayor's education initiative

This is a wonderful idea, but the one thing I am not pleased about is that the Mayor doesn't want to name some of the folks involved.  If he is to do this, this has to be done in the sunshine.  I don't think you can have folks involved who may have an agenda or try to have a voice in what is taught or have an ideology be proposed by some unknown entity.  I think if private companies or organizations will be involved then, it must be applied equally to all students in certain…

TU: Mayor Alvin Brown wants to change Jacksonville Economic Development Commission this month

Although I am pleased to see a focus on this group (that has mismanaged millions of dollars) and perhaps even a much needed closer scrutiny of them, I am somewhat taken back that the Mayor wants control over one more group.  This is a continuing theme for this mayor, and he seems to want absolute control over everything which is worrisome to me.   I don't want the city council to end up like our elected representatives have in congress under the current president where he…

WND: Our choice: Impeachment or dictatorship

We have all known I think that this should happen, and many of us wondered why it didn't.  Certainly, I understood the democrats in the senate would not do impeachment hearing for anything but theatre, so the republicans avoided pushing the issue, but now, after Panetta's statements, they may have little choice and senate involvement in a serious way could actually happen, and I hope and pray it does.

Gateway Pundit: THIS IS BIG… Shady Group That Made Illegal Calls to “Red to Blue” Districts HAS SUSPECTED LINKS TO DCCC or DNC

This story is still developing, but I am going to post what is available at this time.  This is really, as the title says, BIG.  This sort of thing should be squashed immediately as the folks doing it are doing it illegally and right now, the suspects are the DCCC or DNC as there are links back to them.  The democrats are clearly trying to make birth control the only issue for this upcoming election, and it would be sick for people to consider only this issue and look past the…

president Obama's "Truth Squad" is about as far from truth as it gets.

Just in case none of you are signed up for the Obama truth squad, you have to read some of these.................they are so removed from the truth, you will, I am sure, be quite surprised at the boldness of the lies.  He has no shame at all.

ACLJ: Obama Administration Must Follow the Law – No Taxpayer Funds for UNESCO

I am so glad.  I would like us to stop giving any money to the UN at all since most of the tyrannts and dictators who belong to the UN now don't pay anything and the US all but supports these folks (besides having these encroachers home office in New York).

Today, Jay Sekulow, ACLJ Chief Counsel, sent a letter to…

Every day more information surfaces that shows we must be more vigilant about voting systems

This first video, which was just posted on Vimeo yesterday, is on the FCTP web site (in videos). If you have watched this very long video on the web site, you know what the problems are and that the machines are flawed and election fraud is not only possible but highly likely to have already happened in a number of locations using Diebolt electronic voting machines or in other words, our democratic system of voting is very much jeopardized.  One of the other electronic voting…

Maggie's Notebook: Marine Sgt. Gary Stein: Will Refuse Orders to Disarm Americans or Kill Americans: How Tyranny Begins

If you have not seen this, it is certainly of interest, and this young man is not alone.  He is what the oathkeepers are about, but Sgt Stein has formed his own tea party group called the Armed Forces Tea Party Patriots.  Sgt. Stein should give us hope that the military will not violate the constitution if ordered to and will follow their oath (unlike those, so called, elected officials in Washington).  Below, you will also find some really good links used as references for this…

FrontPageMag: The Racist Ravings of Derrick Bell

And this will introduce you to the professor that Obama was raving about in the recently released video tape taken during his college days.  Amazingly, Mr. Bell is very much like Pastor Jeremiah Wright.............imagine that.  And at the top before the article is a link to a video of Bell talking about "permanent racism"

TU: Jacksonville projects sit idle after being infused with city taxpayer money

In his own words, Mayor Brown said, when he was running for office that the downtown used to supply about 17% of the tax receipts and now supplies only 3% of the tax receipts.  The reason for this is that the city has bought up very nearly all the buildings and land in the downtown which takes them off the tax rolls, and now, they are trying to get people interested in leasing the land while they manage everything.  Is that something that sounds like something any business would…

CNS: Obama Will Make Taxpayers Guarantee Mortgages Without Checking Borrowers' Incomes or Employment

Here we go again.  This is the same problem that got us into the housing meltdown brought to you by the same group, and once again when this goes south, they will once again do the blame thing and blame the banks when THEY did it.  No one in their right mind guarantees loans for people without bothering to check to see if they can afford to pay the money back or are even employed, but sanity and Obama have nothing to do with one another.

Fire Dog Lake: Demand the Obama Administration Release the Execution Memos

For all of you who think only conservatives are upset about the issues related to some of the legislation our congress has passed which violate our first amendment rights and our constitutional rights, think again.  Here is something which was started by a progressive group, and it is well written and to the point....................and I can't believe I am saying this but I agree with what they are saying and doing.

TU: Father of suspected Episcopal School shooter: "We are in shock"

How sad for the family of the headmaster.   The violence of today is beyond the pale, and we must all be aware and on guard when someone seems to behave in a manner outside the norm around us.  We live in dangerous times!

Andrew Breitbart's Last Column: The Vetting, Part I: Barack's Love Song To Alinsky

Prior to his passing, Andrew Breitbart said that the mission of the Breitbart empire was to exemplify the free and fearless press that our Constitution protects--but which, increasingly, the mainstream media denies us.

“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?” – “Who guards the guardians?” Andrew saw himself in that role—as a guardian protecting Americans from the left’s “objective” loyal scribes.

Andrew wanted to do what the mainstream media would…

Washington Times: EDITORIAL: Obama Undermines Coal

This would certainly be one explanation for the escalating costs of energy, but if you listen to the administration, all the spokesman act like they have done wonders for opening exploration and creating more chances for us becoming self sufficient................not true if you are shutting things down like coal mines since many power plants depend on burning coal (and burning it clean).

The Blaze: Minnesota Lawmaker Drops Anti-Sharia Bill Following Pressure From CAIR

These folks should not have this kind of power when state lawmakers attempt to do the right thing!   This is of note as we have a bill in our state senate (in committee right now....it has passed the house).

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
