TU: Old laws thwarting Jacksonville City Council changes in capital improvement plan; A rewrite of the bill would allow more changes to the improvement program.

A much larger issue than the article actually states and certainly something worth keeping a close eye on.  This could make huge changes in the way bills are processed in relation to the city budget processing.

The Patriot Update: Whatever Happened to Free Speech on College Campuses?

This is going to be of grave concern for some times to come and we need to certainly be aware of what is going on at colleges around the country. Free speech is the cornerstone of our country and a first amendment right, but many college campuses and the mass of liberal professors and administrators are trying to squash the words of anyone who may not agree with them and put forth their ideology in the classroom. There are a couple of organizations that fight such tyranny on…

TU: Alvin Brown hires Cincinnati attorney to run Neighborhoods Department

I keep wondering when we have so many able people right here in Jacksonville, why Mayor Brown keeps reaching out to people who live in another city or state? Mayor Brown has done an admirable job thus far and he and the council have worked well together, but Mayor Brown seems to make choosing someone who does not even live in our city or even in Florida on a somewhat regular basis.  I would wonder what he has against using people who are familiar with Jacksonville and actually…

TU: Jacksonville Council committee pursues bills for Mayport ferry commission, taxing district referendum

This is an on going issue, and this article provides quite a bit of new information.  I am in hopes it provides you with an adequate update on where the Mayport Ferry is headed.  I have some concern about the time between when the ferry runs out of funding and when we might get to voice an opinion on a referendum.  Your thoughts?

TU: JTA might soon be out of the road-building business

I found this very interesting, for although I guess I should have known, I did not realize that JTA was doing road building and would agree with our council members that it should not be their function but a function of the city government to decide on and also decide who does it. I am grateful to our council members for their thoughtful comments, and for their suggestions about finding someone to head JTA that is about the business of the public transit system…

FOX: ESPN Shelves NASCAR Driver Blake Koch’s Voter Registration Ad for Religious Overtones … on His Personal Website?

This is totally outrageous and these anti religion zealots have gone right around the bend.  Here is a nice, clean cut young man who is promoting voter registration and voting.  The ad was refused, because it is "political" and has religious overtones.  I don't see it, but you check.  They, I believe, are targeting him because he is a christian, and  does not "hide" his christianity.  There seems to be a great deal of that going on of late.  The video and the rest of the story…

Activist Post: Texas Mayor Officially Cancels Agenda 21 Membership

The most important thing citizens can do is to make one question central to all politicians who are running for office.  The questions should be if they know about and understand what Agenda 21 is and secondly, what is their stand on Agenda 21.  Accountability must be a key to any elections in the future, and personally, I don't think someone should be in office and be passing what they think is benign legislation when nothing could be further from the…

Activist Post: World Bank Nominee Tied to Monsanto Shareholder Bill Gates, Soros

It just never seems to end, does it, but we do have to know who the players are and who they are tied to.  Obama has chosen another really bad nominee, and I suppose we are in for another fight to try to stop this insanity.  This is an excerpt from this article that makes me absolutely sick and makes me wonder what the drugs they give us do, but this is a second line drug they speak about:  "…

Barack Obama: I Have A “Moral Obligation” To Neuter America

If you are not afraid when you read this, you should be.  Understand that disarming our country would place us in a position where we could not defend ourselves...................and that my friends is a treasonous act.  Given the state of the world today, what Mr. Obama is proposing is extremely naive and dangerous for our country.…

Right Side News: EPA CO2 Regulation Effectively Bans New Coal Facilities

Basically, Mr. Obama's policy of "all of the above" is really "all of the above except coal, oil, natural gas and severe limitations on nuclear power.............that leaves wind and solar pretty much which could hardly be called an "all of the above" policy. The EPA is one of the reasons these huge bureaucracies should never have been allowed to make law unfettered and without congressional approval of any regulations (laws) they put forth prior to implementation of anything. …

The Daily Caller: Justice Scalia scolds Obama solicitor general

I understand this was a high point yesterday, and the justices were quite actively asking a number of questions.  I also understand the solicitor general did not do well at all but was coached by Kagan and one other liberal justice (he kept saying "tax"; they kept correcting him by saying "penalty").  Scalia, however, apparently had him for lunch with several remarks....................not one of the Obama solicitor general's better days I suspect and from all reports, he did…

TU: After being used once, rule limiting Jacksonville Council spending targeted for change

Personally, I think changing the current law is a VERY bad idea as the current law indicates waiting until the budget is proposed to include spending on projects or other matters. By changing this law, the council is allowing itself to move forward with spending, and unfettered spending at that, that was not planned for in the budget. Most of us understand the importance of a budget and the budgeting process and also understand you can't spend money from next years budget when…

CNS: At a Wednesday hearing, House Homeland Security Chairman Pete King (R.-N.Y.) said that "at a minimum" there are hundreds of "soldiers of Hezbollah" inside the United States.

This is not good news, but little that goes on under this administration is good news for our country.  Obama is at war with the very people of the very country he is a public servant of and is warring to overturn our form of government and replace it with socialism or what he considers "fair" and "just".  In the mean time, he and all his friends, in this administration, are not worrying themselves with doing the actual job they are supposed to do nor do they care about…

CNS: Obama Tells Russia He’ll Have ‘More Flexibility’ After Next Election

The man is a total ignoramous and a worm.  Imagine saying something like this near an open mike.  Did he think no one would know he was running around making deals with folks to wait until after he is re-elected and no one can do anything about what he does.  Basically, he admits here that once he can't get re-elected again, there will be no stopping him ON ANYTHING.  Everyone better be ready to FIGHT and get him GONE.…

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
