Jacksonville: Hyde drops out of 2011 Jacksonville mayor's race

Can't raise money? Maybe if the property taxes weren't so high, people would have had money to donate.
City councilman had lagged behind in fund-raising since start of his campaign.

Are You Worried About "Quantitative Easing"? YOU SHOULD BE !!

Yesterday the Federal Reserve announced that it was planning on injecting ANOTHER $600,000,000,000 (that's 600 billion dollars!, in case you were wondering) into the American financial system by purchasing Treasury bonds. The stated goal is to drive interest rates lower and encourage borrowing. Call it a top-down method of "stimulating" the economy. And you guessed it, they'll PRINT… Continue

Michelle Malkin: Voters Speak: No to Soak-the-Rich Schemes

Interesting as I think this type of bill would have a hard time passing in pretty much any state in this economy (and should not pass in any economy actually), and it's a real tell that it failed to pass in Washington state which is more liberal minded.

Do Americans share President Obama's desire to impose redistributive social justice on the well off? In liberal Washington State, of all places, voters gave a definitive…

David Limbaugh: Obama Doesn't Seek Compromise; Neither Should We

I take no great pleasure in having been correct in predicting Barack Obama's reaction to his Tuesday "shellacking." To borrow his terminology, he is wired not to hear the American people's opposition to his radical agenda, as painfully demonstrated in his postelection news conference.

Unhappily, Obama's answers showed even deeper intransigence than I had thought he would be willing to reveal. He is every bit as committed to his destructive agenda as he was Nov. 1 and, despite…

Obama Doesn’t Rule Out Bypassing Congress and Using EPA Regulations to Cap Carbon Emissions

Stone Deaf

I have been home sick for a couple of days, so have taken advantage of the opportunity to catch up on a lot of news. The Dems, and the President in particular, did not get the message. Some of the Republican survivors did not get the message; there is already talk of compromise.

We need to keep screaming, since it is increasingly obvious that life in DC renders one stone deaf!

New Union-Friendly Rules Could Affect Delta

Obama mucking around with 75 year old laws that make unionization votes fair in order to help his union thug friends. This needs to be stopped right away (this is a version of what he wanted congress to pass without the law). I am definitely against this, because they could hold an election without advertising it and people could come ot work some morning and find out 20 people voted them into a union (and that is exactly the type of hijincs unions are famous…

City Council to consider $800,000 placed below the line during budget meeting.

The Bill is 2010-802; introduced by Corrigan. This is $800,000 for scholarships that can be used at Edward Waters (tuition is about $5000 a semester); JU (about $13,000 per semester); UNF (Less than $3,000) or FSCJ (Formally FCCJ and less than $3,000 per semester).

This is one of the items that was proposed to be cut.

My primary argument against this is that it is not a function of the city to award money for education. They may have done this is the past, but it wasn't… Continue

Hope in the people of America

My wife and I were almost on the verge of saying we will never vote again. We felt like no matter what we did, our conservative view point was being dismissed by our representatives, and by some majority of Americans that we obviously do not know. I can't tell you how energized we were to see the election returns across the country, and feel that we are not a small silent minority, but in fact, a major voice of reason that reflects the will of most Americans. I hope this is a turning point for… Continue

Are We Still Worthy of Leaders Like This?

Many messages were sent to Washington DC last night, and they all ended with an exclamation point. Those voices sounded a lot like STOP IT!...and...CUT IT OUT, DAMN IT!

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
