JBS: Stop Florida Con-Con Call

This is information I received from JBS today in an Email and am posting it because this is a very serious situation and agree we need to stop this.  There are other ways to handle what needs to be done to add a balanced budget amendment without calling a constitutional convention which could be highjacked by the 20% of this country who are progressives.  Consider writing to your state representatives and senator.

Washington 24/7: Global warming trend ended in 1997, new data shows

Sounds about right.  I had heard there had been no change in about 10 years, but it is actually longer............and those who would push this are still pushing it (for redistribution of income).

Campaign for Liberty: Florida Legislature Takes Another Step Towards a National ID Card- RFID Alert

Another little nightmare brought to you by our state legislature.............perhaps they think we aren't watching?

The House Transportation and Highway Safety subcommittee just passed unanimously a bill (CS/HB1223) to further dismantle our Fourth Amendment rights to privacy and furthers the goal of a National ID card that we call “Dangerous ID”. The federal REAL ID Act gives the DHS Secretary unlimited authority as to the purposes for which a REAL ID…

Godfather Politics: Ohio GOP Wants to Shut Out TEA Party

Just in case you don't think the GOP hates the tea party and thinks they can eliminate us and move forward choosing one horror candidate after another.................this should dispel the myth.  We more closely match their platform in our belief system than they do (how sad is that).  Don't think that move isn't afoot in other places as well.

Vision to America: Obama Eligibility Challenges Spread to 6 States

Interesting and could mean more states jump on board since Obama is refusing to take part in the challenges and wants them dismissed.

January 30, 2012

An administrative law judge in Georgia could decide as early as this week whether voters in the state convinced him Barack Obama’s name should be removed…

Thomas Sowell; The Nat'l Review: The Florida Smear Campaign

I have the greatest respect for Thomas Sowell and have followed him for a long time, because he has something sorely lacking in our country today; common sense.  He writes wonderful commentary and is true blue conservative in his stances.  He is a very smart man and when he speaks, we should pay attention.  I suggest you read what he has to say as it may surprise you!

TU: Overdue city grant on its way to Jacksonville Cultural Council

I am hard pressed to understand why the city subsidizes many of the other things they do when we can't even cover city services with tax dollars and expect people to pay extra for the primary function of city government.  This is nothing more than our local government picking winners and losers just like the federal government does with our tax dollars (and none to carefully either I might add).  If you leave it alone, the people will chose those entities they wish to have…

Go Vote...Be Wise

Florida is in the spotlight today.  If Mitt Romney wins - the media and the GOP elite will confirm his "right" to the Republican Presidential Nomination.  They will claim Florida as the win and the rest of the states whose voice has not been heard, be damned.

I've seen this before…

POSSIBLY VERY BAD WEATHER FOR JACKSONVILLE AND SOUTH, SOUTHWEST

Hello all,

Thought I would pass on some weather info.  Something is going on in Jacksonville and usually when we see these type of waves, it's not good.  You and the south of Jacksonville may be getting some bad weather within the next 24-72 hours. I have been with dutchsinse for two years now and he is amazing.  Just an fyi.

Far from impressed with Mitt Romney's Monday AM meeting @ RingPower

I recall "W" Bush was a rude awakening to the press when he took office due to his starting meetings on time as scheduled. Mitt, on obviously his first meeting of the day was hopelessly late.  Being in business myself this seemed as much a surprise to me as it was to Congressman Ander Crenshaw who was stuck gasping for topics while waiting for Mitt to show up.

Then like a Jay Leno repeat Mitt opened with the same tired Newt trash talk put-downs of his that I've heard over and…

Newsmax: InsiderAdvantage Poll: Gingrich Surging, Race 'Tighter Than Expected'

This is quite interesting for those of you following who is where on the polls.  The Email popped into my box right after I posted the Times Union article about this same subject, and they appear to be at divergent ends of the spectrum.  In any case, the majority of people are splitting their votes among the conservatives which may still give Romney the win..............but may not.  This will require careful watching!

TU: Jacksonville developers tired of delays, object to new regulations

New regulations are having the impact on us locally as this article in the Times Union indicates, and now they are trying to change the rules right in the middle of things after some of these folks have invested money.  This is exactly what might be expected of folks who have never run a business or had a job anywhere.  They think you can do something like this, and people who own and run businesses will just take a hit and come back for more.

TU: More Florida polls equal more bad news for Newt Gingrich

Interesting as conservatives are in the lead when you combine the 3 conservative candidates polling numbers, they are 1 point higher than Romney's polling number on at least one poll, but because the vote is split, we will end up with the establishment pick, and we can all hold our noses when November rolls around!  Let's hope Mr. Romney isn't pulling an Obama on us and lying about where he stands on the issues to get elected.

How do you kill 11 Million people?

I was blessed to be at a conference with Ginni Thomas this past weekend.  She handed me a tiny book with a Big title:  "How do you kill 11 Million people?"

She said, "It's a tool" as she handed me my own personal copy signed by the author, Andy Andrews.  I read the entire book on the plane ride which lasted a little over an hour.  It's a short read but a life-changing one at that.…

CNS News: U.S. Gov't Agency Plans $2.84 Billion Loan for Oil Refinery—In Colombia

And you thought Obama wasn't encouraging job creation?  He is.  Just not in the United States.  He can be very helpful to other countries and pump our money into their countries to help encourage job creation, but then, he denies approval on the pipeline here when it would have created many, many jobs and had a spin off effect as well.

President Obama Wants to Help the Little Guys—Especially If They’re Named Boone Pickens and George Soros

The Boonedoggle bill was introduced in the House last April and quickly gained 186 co-sponsors, including around 80 Republicans. A number of free market and conservative groups sent a joint letter to Congress opposing the bill, which has convinced 19 Republicans to withdraw as co-sponsors. This means that the Pickens Payoff Plan has very little chance of passing the House as a sepa...rate bill. However, President Obama’s…

Times 24/7: 2011 GDP: A 'final, pathetic' 1.7 percent

The title of this article kind of says it all.  And Obama keeps saying how great the economy is and how he has built it to last.  Last until when, we declare bankrupcy as a country and end up like Greece as he continues to spend money we don't have???
