And here is yet another possible draw on our tax dollars if we have to pay the additional money on Medicaid, and I hope you remember all the money that is being spent on non-essential things when we are expecting next year's budget to be short a huge amount due to pensions and now may have to add another 3 million of the almost 10 million to the outstanding total as well. You thoughts on this greatly appreciated.…

Right now, in your town and neighborhood, policies are being implemented that will ultimately eliminate your freedoms and destroy your way of life. You need to know what's going on to stop this process. Many town officials are selling us out to global regional …

Although there is some information missing and a few things I have not been able to locate in the way of links, I am going to post what has been found and hope some of you will take an interest and maybe find additional information. There is just so much out there, it is hard to contain it all in one blog.
This is very solid. There is much information on this including the fact that Peyton paid to belong to Metropolis in 2007 (info links into this web site are layered, but draw you…

The officials of the Stall Brook Elementary School in Bellingham, Massachusetts dropped “God” from the Lee Greenwood song “God Bless the USA.” “God Bless the USA” was scheduled for an assembly, but an unnamed administrator decided to change the words to “We Love the USA.” Parents strongly objected and the Stall Brook School relented.
Superintendent…

A dear friend called me yesterday. She is a believer in Jesus Christ yet confusion and fear had caused her to panic. The news was not good. Our debt is unsustainable; our President is calling out the Judges of the highest court in the land; the internet is filled with reports of large caches of ammunition being purchased by Homeland…

In one word: Privatize. I do not for the life of me understand why they don't put out a request for proposals to privatize this park. Why oh why would we pay someone to manage it, because our sprawling city government has now sprawled beyond the capabilities of our elected officials to manage. I am about sick of one article right after another indicating spending, spending and more spending of money the city does not have. Where is responsible financial governance? Why is…

This is interesting, and like you probably will have, I had questions about whether this $4,500 was money well spent or just another way to spend more money. Of late, I am very wary of anything education given the propensity to use our public schools for propaganda and numerous other things that have nothing to do with education. I took the liberty of looking up both the founder of CRSS and the current president Cathy Mincberg. Please take a look at these folks as I think you…

In the event you have not been following this, Obama has been forced to do a walk back on his comments about the supreme court (thank goodness), because a very brave federal judge down in Texas stood up and held this administration accountable for their comments. But the supreme court attack isn't the only bad information the administration has put out; it is becoming a daily fairy tale, and we all have to wonder how long Obama will remain credible if it continues on the current…

It would appear Romney and Obama are now focused on each other. This is something that needed to happen from my perspective and hopefully, will continue. In the event you did not see the film clip that was put together, there is one out there showing Obama using the word "Marvelous" over and over again in reference to a number of things, so it is not a rarely used word :). …

For those who have not heard, the DOJ will comply with the order from Judge Smith. This should have happened 2 years ago or maybe 3 years ago, but a huge thank you to Judge Jerry Smith of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in Houston, Texas. May God keep him safe for questioning this administration. After a yes answer to his question to DOJ lawyer Dana Kaersvang, the judge was not satisfied.
As…

This is pretty self explanatory, and if we do not do this for Jewish people who keep Kosher (and have their own markets and foods that they get produced and checked to assure they are Kosher), why should the rest of us have to bend to any religious group who expects everyone to accommodate them. Get a job in a market specific to the belief system you have or work in another line of work instead of a grocery store when you know it will not be a good fit for you and your beliefs.…

Does this make you feel vindicated to a point? I don't see the numbers for democrats who support the tea party or think we are a poltical plus, but am sure there are some who favor the tea party positions of smaller, constitutionally based government. Your opinion?

How does the city get into things like this, and how does someone amass such a huge amount to add to an already over generous retirement while they are already accepting a largish paycheck (this whole mess is bankrupting the city). Most folks that amass for their retirement during their working life are saving their own money and not adding more tax dollars to their accounts. What to do? …

Do you feel like you are in some sort outer space configuration? I thought so. We just found out the mayor wants to triple the pay for a city job bringing large events to town, but in almost the same breath he will make moving criminals less secure (the reason the court house when where it did is so folks could be moved from the jail to the courthouse in a secure manner otherwise, we could have put it somewhere else). I hate that the court house cost what it did and still…

State Rep. Mike Weinstein officially filed Monday to run for the state Senate.
The Jacksonville Republican said last month he was going to run for Senate instead of re-election if the Senate’s redrawn districts did not change. Those lines have since been passed by lawmakers.

So, Mr. Verlander brought 2 events to JU (2006 and 2010), and we are going to triple the pay for a job we already have an individual for on the JEDC, and hire yet another high priced academic who really has no experience doing the job. From what I can see, he has no background doing this type of job (he is the athletic director at JU). Your opinion? I know I plan to write to the council about this; all of these expensive positions in our city must be stopped. Increasing the…

Imagine that. I am in total shock the California federal appeals court actually upheld the vote of the people of the state of California as I am more used to them over turning any common sense action taken by the people in ballot initiatives. I would also think, if these young people feel they are not wholly prepared for college, instead of trying to get a pass and get in anyway, there time might be better spent trying to get to the level needed to be accepted in a college…
