Occupying Des Moines, Iowa

On the morning of the last day of 2011 Ted, Lu and Patty set out in their rental car to find persons of interest in Des Moines, Iowa.

After getting lost several times, we finally arrived at Java Joe's Coffee House, where the day before "Occupiers" made a scene and were thrown out by the owner of the business, named Amy and a police escort.  We were hoping that perhaps today would offer similar excitement and colorful customers.  However, today all was calm and orderly.  We…

Laws governing recall in Florida

I reviewed an article provided by another tea party member on one of the blogs, and I found myself checking our own states recall laws. I thought I would share them with you!

Only 11 states have laws allowing for recall of federal officials (it should be an option in every state when your federal officials pass laws that are so heneous they should be removed from office for their action in voting in those laws if they did vote in favor of…

WWW.Salem.News: Montanans Launch Recall of Senators Who Approved NDAA Military Detention. Merry Christmas, US Senate

This article should make many of you feel better, but the worst of it is that only 11 states can recall federal elected officials according to what I found, but this indicates only 9..................it should be available to all states and most especially if the oath to office has been violated as it clearly has for each person who voted yes.  Perhaps if the fear of recall was upon them, they were be far more careful of voting for anything unconstitutional that violates their…

What can one man do alone?

We celebrated New Year's Eve in a large hotel room in Des Moines, Iowa.  It was a melancholy night.  We were excited to be in the middle of the Iowa Caucus happenings but some of us had left behind loved ones who we had never been away from on a New Year's Eve.  We were looking forward to 2012 with hope that each of us could make a difference some way, some how.  We were also concerned that 2012 could be the year that a free American republic would cease to…

Newsmax: Obama Will Govern Without Congress

You are gonna love this.  He is right smack out of his lunatic little mind!  He scares the heck out of me with his dictatorship talking garbage.  He thinks he is something else, and he is, but it isn't quite what he thinks it is.  He is a mad man totally!  People literally can't stand him and want him gone, and he is pushing himself as the grand leader like the dude in North Korea..............will we all have to wear his picture on our…

Washington Times: BLANKLEY: Newt’s past and future leadership

I remember Gingrich from the Clinton era and what he did was totally amazing, and it also set our country to rights.  But as we have all noticed Romney and the media (the same media that has gone after every single other candidate but Romney with a vengence) have done quite a job on Speaker Gingrich.  It isn't hard to understand republicans in Washington poor mouthing Newt if they want Romney in now is it.  He is the candidate the republican party has chosen for us, and like the…

Times 24/7: U.S. aircraft carrier moves near Strait of Hormuz

I saw this, and all I could think is what is Obama going to get us into now.  Maybe he could fall on bended knee and beg them not to do it (it would certainly be more in keeping with how he has handled Iran up to now).

The aircraft carrier USS John C Stennis reportedly is steaming toward the Strait of Hormuz where the Iranian navy is conducting war games. Photo Credit:…

Guardian: Egypt police raid offices of human rights groups in Cairo

More nasty news from Egypt.  This certainly doesn't appear to be quite like it was before when Mubarak was running the country, does it?  We used to have a good relationship with Egypt then.

Merry Christmas Everyone and thank you George

Today is Christmas and our last daily Christmas song is noted below - Joy to the World.  We chose this song because we wanted one that might have been sung by George Washington and his men as they crossed over the Delaware on Christmas night, 1776.   Our research…

How much more are we gonna take?

The Defense Department reportedly decided it will now allow Muslim students participating in the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps to wear headscarves and turbans while in uniform. The decision marks the latest influence by controversial Islamic groups on military affairs. ADD TO THIS LIST PLEASE -- WHERE DO YOU HAVE TO SHOW ID?

The left is out in force with the stupid statement that we are suppressing voters by asking them to show ID.  This is outrageous which is not surprising because the left is always outrageous.  Read about it here:

McConnell Dumps Tea Party Overboard

Senator McConnell has made a political calculation that I feel will come and bite him. Let us hope so.

Then old chicken lips will get what he deserves.

Will we be wise men?

As I read my Bible last night for a little hope after bad news had crashed in on us just days before, I turned to Isaiah 9:6  -- “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of…

TU: Report: JEDC lax in oversight of incentives, Cecil Field

Not good, but I think we expected this.  The word was out that a couple of outfits had not in reality created the jobs they were supposed to and wondered who missed the boat on catching it.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
