The First Coast Tea Party is one of many organizations who places a wreath at the Veterans Memorial Wall located at 1145 East Adams Street, adjacent to Everbank Stadium on Memorial Day. The event is hosted by the City of Jacksonville. This is a beautiful event and each year those who lost their lives in the prior year are honored and their names…

Last night we attended the graduation of a bright and special young lady. She was the Salutatorian and there are many reasons to be proud of her.
Her father is from Mexico and came to America over 25 years ago. His father had passed away and his…

The First Coast Tea Party is proud of Governor Rick Scott who took the Earmark pen – a red sharpie – and slashed $615 Million in Earmarks from the State Budget.
Gov. Scott…

Our backyard is filled with big and small oak trees and even some cypress stand tall against the back drop of the water.
My favorite has always been the mighty oak tree who has always bent down across the walkway. She acted as a canopy over the walkway going out to the dock. We have watched this mighty oak move downwards inch by inch as the base of the oak aged. …

#1…The Tiny Union used my name in a headline this morning. Mark Woods in his personal opinion column created this headline… “Zombies can’t vote in city elections, Billie.” I don’t know Mark Woods and have never met him. He is very comfortable using my first name in his headline.
This has become an interesting event. The election is over…

Today is Sunday, May 22, 2011 and we must give kudos to the TU. I’ll even refrain from calling them the Tiny Union since they made headways today to publish a story with facts vs opinions.
Article: The front page headline of the TU states “Brown won it on issues, advisers, ground game”
We…

So the “minister” was not right after all. The Rapture didn’t happen and I’m still here. Dang it!
I had hoped to be walking on the streets of gold this morning – imagine how much they would cost today if God was building them.
I would be living in paradise in a mansion. The mansion would have…

As many of you know, the First Coast Tea Party belongs to a Florida Statewide Tea Party Leaders Google Group. We have been together for nearly two years now. The group is a secured, confidential group and we discuss issues, thoughts and frustrations among tea party friends. We do this to coordinate efforts in the state of Florida and bounce off ideas.
Today I was called by the press…

Just another day in paradise as we opened the Tiny Union this morning. They were giving out awards to the winners and losers in the local election. The list of losers and winners was an opinion of Mr. Harding, a columnist, not an investigative journalist. Again, the…

We wish Alvin Brown well and expect him to uphold his promise not to raise taxes. We will wait and see how he responds to all citizens’ concerns and requests and how he will communicate with all the people of Duval County.
We also congratulate the winners of the City Council who won and meet the Conservative stance of the tea…

The Mayor's Race had its own blog this morning and we did not want to miss the hearty congratulations to those who won City Council seats.
We informed the City Council members who voted to raise our taxes that we would see them at the polls.
Last night our endorsed candidate, Matt Schellenberg (R) in City Council District 6 took the…

There is not a big win for either camp this morning. The city is divided and the winner will come down to a few hundred votes.
There will be accusations and yelling in a room filled with lawyers. The Supervisor of Elections office will once again be thrown into the mix of political warfare as they look at every ballot cast.…

With less than 24 hours to go, the Alvin Brown camp has brought out all their paid recruits to hit the streets. They have been seen downtown walking two by two. Trucks with out-of-town tags and Alvin Brown stickers are hauling them from corner to…

The left has brought in their paid help to hold their signs. They have hired bus drivers to drive people to the polls. They have walked neighborhoods to sign people up to vote. They have wheeled in senior citizens to the polls to vote and helped them do so. They have manipulated the minds of some of our own and convinced them they are conservative thinkers. They have not answered tough questions nor met with you, the people, to hear our…

As I woke this morning, I had no idea if I should blog or not. I don’t write unless I am compelled to do so. When I walked in the kitchen, my husband handed me a cup of coffee with a big grin on his face. He pointed to the paper and it was open to Mr. Sillypage’s Viewpoint column. I knew then, I had something to write about! (I tried to find the link on www.jacksonville.com but it was not there this morning. Keep…

It’s Friday but Sunday Morning's Coming Down
You don’t normally get two postings in one day but this is the final weekend before Election Day – next Tuesday, May 17th. So here I am – forgive me, please.
I’m sure many of you have plans for the glorious weekend. Some will be at the TPC (wear sunscreen), others will be working…

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
