As I write this morning, our Golden Retriever is sleeping on the right side of my chair and our Black Lab is sleeping on the left side. My cat is sitting on my desktop near the desk lamp. She is sunbathing and purring in delight. Life is good for our family pets and we are pleased they are so…

Today's post is from Vicki Higbee - A Proud Military Mom and a member of the First Coast Tea Party
I remember in January of 1991 the sinking feeling I had when Desert Storm began. In the back of my mind I thought, "At least my boys are too young to have to be involved." I was grateful that if a war was going to be fought, it was far away. I prayed the world would be a…

After 9/11, there was a call out from our leaders to reach out to the Muslim community. It was important that those who murdered 3,000 American citizens were known as radicals from Islam and not the average people of the Muslim community. We made great efforts to include them in ceremonies and President Bush even went to a Mosque one week later on 9/17. He brought them this message:
“…America counts…

Today is Labor Day. It was once a proud holiday for the hard-working people of America. Today when we think of Labor Day- we think of unions and how they have twisted the hearts and minds of their dues paying members. We see how the people have allowed themselves to be used by Union bosses who take their…
ContinueI appreciate you reaching out to me regarding two of the biggest challenges facing our nation: the federal budget and out-of-control spending. As Florida's junior senator, it is my priority to confront these issues by reducing wasteful spending, eliminating duplicative and inefficient government programs, and working to ensure the solvency of…

As a little girl in Sunday school, I loved to hear stories about Bible times. When it was time to listen to our teacher tell a story, we would scoot out wooden chairs near hers as she pulled the Big Book of Bible Stories off the shelf. It was a large book with perfect pictures to go along with the…

Ten years ago today, the more than 3,000 American citizens who were killed on 9/11 had no idea they only had 10 more days to live.
They were making plans for business trips; getting children ready for back to school; starting new jobs; moving into new homes; getting married; waiting for the birth of their new baby; or planning their…

This week I watched my new granddaughter come into this world. I could smell the scent of heaven all over her as I kissed her cheeks and held her tight. I whispered a welcome in her tiny ear and prayed for her to be safe in this new world.
Just as I did with my own children, I want so much to protect my grandchildren from the dangers of the world. I know I will worry about the…

Florida is my home and we’ve been through hurricane watches and warnings many times before. We are blessed this time because Irene decided to give us a break and head up north.
We pray for those who have never experienced the power of a hurricane and hope they will heed warnings and prepare accordingly. We have had our share of preparing for possible destruction. We’ve stood in…

We have been reading this series of interviews and it felt something like the Watergate scandal and Deep Throat.
We received this from a Washington, DC insider. If these interviews are true -- we have a serious problem in the White House. If these interviews are made up -- this makes for a great novel.
The language is bad and you will be trying to figure out who is…

As our country sits on the edge of destruction, Rep. Maxine Waters, tells the tea party to go to hell.
There are no words to say for statements like this coming from "leadership" in Washington.
Reality is: Because they refuse to listen to the people, our country is going to hell. They are taking it there with their radical agenda and their hate-filled hearts.
Ms. Waters is either in fear that we are right or in fear that her agenda and the…

I read an article this morning about a 9/11 widow of the Pentagon attacks. As I read it, I wondered how we could have changed so much.
In the days and months following the terrorist attack on America and the murder of 3,000 of…

Four years ago during a trip to Lowe’s, I once again found myself in the Land of New Appliances. As I rounded the corner, a thrill went up my leg. “Yes!” I said to myself in a loud voice in my head. My two girls had finally gone on sale and I HAD to have them! The Bosch washing machine and dryer stood tall and beautiful and they appeared to be smiling right at me. As Randy walked towards me from his Land of New Tools, he immediately knew we were going to have a…

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
