At the March on Washington in 2009 I met a man who was in his early 40's who admitted to me that the 2008 election was the first time in his ENTIRE LIFE he had ever voted!! He's not the only one. We would probably be shocked at the number of Americans who never vote and, in fact, have never even registered.
If you are not registered to vote, do so now! You only have until Monday, October 4th, to register and still be able to vote in this year's general election. If you have a friend,…

We have to realize that we need to be working NOW! Voting doesn't wait until November 2nd. Early voting here in FL starts October 19th. That's only 30 days away! Beginning on October 19th, many, many people will have already made up their minds about who they are going to vote for and will cast a ballot. Also, absentee voting will be taking place soon as well. Now is the time for all hands on deck!! Talk to your neighbors, put out those yard signs, post information on your Facebook page,…

Once again, the NRA has taken gun owners’ money — and more importantly, their trust — and used it to support those who have a horrible record when it comes to gun rights. And what’s more is that they have done it to fund the opposition of someone who is 100% pro-gun.
Capitol Hill insiders report the NRA will soon announce their support of incumbent Betsy Markey (D, CO-4), a politician who has never returned the NRA’s own candidate survey on…

According to the Times Union, the Jacksonville City Council is expected to give final approval of the Duval County Budget and the proposed Property Tax Rate increase on September 28th.
Please read the article on the front page in the Times Union today regarding the Duval tax rates.
I've read it six times already trying to understand why we will be paying more than the Beaches and Baldwin who have, if I'm reading this correctly always paid less. They reaped… Continue

Ok, so two nights ago I wrote a little bit about the history of the income tax, and what it has exploded into today. Least to say, our tax code is an absolute disaster of around 50,000 pages worth of confusion. So, what is the FairTax and why should we be giving this idea consideration? Simply put, the FairTax is a way to redefine our country’s income taxes. The federal income tax, social security tax, medicare tax, estate tax, corporate tax, and the alternative minimum tax would all be…

Clearly, Obama only became president so he could destroy our country. Hard to imagine, but it is the only answer available given his actions.

Today is We the People's Anniversary - the day the Constitution of the United States was signed into law. There are many opportunities to celebrate this day and we have provided a few for you here. We hope you will take a moment to remember those men who spent months framing the Constitution - which is the Contract we have with our Government. While nothing is perfect, this document has served our country and its people for over 200 years and we have a lot to be thankful for because of this…

When you vote for your city councilman or woman next time around, you may wish to consider how they voted on this. Council members Glorious Johnson, Clay Yarborough, Richard Clark, John Crescimbeni and Bill Bishop voted against each of the four bills connected to the budget and tax rate, but the other 13 city council members voted for the tax increase.
Here is something I would certainly ask councilman Webb…

Now that I got your attention, let me explain. During the 2008 US Presidential Election, Obama, his campaign staff and Organizing for America were able to amass hundreds even thousands when they needed them. How could this newcomer triumph over his well-know opponent (Hilliary Clinton) in the primaries? The answer is simple and simply put, his supporters took action instead of just talking. Will we as conservatives take action or simply talk?
In the spirit of Organizing for America…

I attended the meeting last night but could not get there until after 5:00pm due to work. I wanted to speak out but did not know the procedure to do so. Is the meeting on Sept 28th to vote on the final bill or will we have a chance to speak again against higher property taxes? Donna
