When the First Coast Tea Party aligned with Liberty Central in Washington DC we had no idea how out of touch DC was with the American people. We are learning "how things work in DC" and they are hearing from We the People out here in America. What we learned: Politicians are disconnected, out of touch, living in a fantasy world and totally ignorant of how their legislation and regulation is impacting us. What Liberty Central learned about We the People: We are hurting, we are tired, we are…

"I walked away from Kyoto because it would have damaged the American economy, it would have destroyed the American economy, it was a lousy deal for the American economy."

I had a dream last night and woke up in a cold sweat. It starts with the sun rising on an American beach while the seagulls fly across the horizon and people are jogging on the shore. The next scene President Obama is standing in his bedroom with a phone in his hand. He’s calling Nancy and Harry and they have this…

We welcome Mary Ann as a weekly blogger for the First Coast Tea Party. Mary Ann is a supportive member of the Tea Party Movement and when she is not writing for us she is a pharmacist in real life.
Prologue: President Obama helped fund The Woods Fund, a nonprofit on which Obama served as paid director from 1999 to December 2002. This organization provided startup funding and later capital…

In Arizona last week, their Governor took a stand along with her State Senators and told the rest of America - "We are mad as heck and we won't take it anymore!" Sounds a little bit like the Tea Party Movement - doesn't it?
While some people wrestle over the concerns they may be stopped and asked for ID, we wonder what the big deal is. Are you not asked for your ID and strip down to your bare essentials when you board a plane? Are you not asked for ID when you go to the doctor…

Last Tuesday, the liberal House leadership pulled the controversial D.C. House Voting Rights bill from the floor schedule, and we thank you for all of your calls and for taking action! However, just two days after they backed away from the D.C. bill, the House announced that it would move to consider an even more controversial bill that paves the way for U.S. territory Puerto Rico to become…

It didn’t take Congress long to get back in the saddle again after Spring Break and start messing with the American people’s sand box. They are not playing nice again and this time – it is “Financial Reform” and of course, after that will be Immigration Reform and then will come Energy Reform - yada yada yada! This whole Reform-thing is getting a little tiresome and out of hand and it’s time…

As we came together to Stand Up for Freedom at the Tax Day Rally this Thursday, President Barack Obama was giving a speech in Miami where he said he was amused by the anti-tax tea party protests that have been taking place around the country and that we should be “thankful” for the tax breaks he’s given us.…

This coming Thursday the First Coast Tea Party will once again hold it’s Tax Day Tea Party. Last year at this same time, six individuals came together to set up the first big rally of our local tea party. Not knowing what to expect, we anticipated about 500 people would show up. Instead 5,000 came together and waved their signs and voiced their opinions about the bailouts.
For me – the personal journey of igniting my civic responsibility to ensure freedom – started in September…

March 21, 2010 -- As I sit here on a dreary, rainy Sunday, watching Fox News, I realize I’m depressed. It’s not the kind of depression that can be resolved by a pint of ice…

This past year has been difficult especially for those who were laid off, lost their businesses and/or homes and are struggling to make ends meet. Our present leaders in DC could care less about your problems or about you. They care about their agenda which is to bring “social justice” to all and make life miserable for those who love America and what it stands for.…

As a woman of faith, I must confess that I never paid too much attention to the Saturday before Easter yet this year I feel the significance of it.
When in DC a couple of weeks ago, we had lunch with two individuals…

Many of us will stop to celebrate Passover and Easter this weekend. As we do so, we find ourselves at a special place in time in the history of the world.
Like you, I had no idea I would live to see a time such as this. Every…

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
