Before I begin, let me assure everyone reading this that I love animals. We have three dogs, two cats, eight koi, five laying hens and two bird feeders. (Sounds much like a Christmas song doesn’t it) We love animals and we spend a lot of time and money taking care of their needs.
You would think I would be thrilled with reading that the Obama administration took steps to add more than 500 species of the animal…

CITY COUNCIL: With millions of dollars being spent on social programs, the Duval County City Council has decided to stop filming the meetings for online or TV viewing for those who cannot attend the meetings. So much for transparency.
As noted by one of our Community Leaders of the First Coast Tea Party:…

We had to leave Orlando before the totals of the GOP’s Presidency 5 straw ballot were announced. As we drove home, our cells filled up with text messages – Cain won -- and calls from home rang out in disbelief. Herman Cain, former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza, and a low man on the establishment’s radar, exceeded the combined total for Perry who came in second at 15 percent and Romney who came in third at 14 percent. Cain won by a landslide at 37.1% of the…

In another show of a Federal government out of control and leading with the whip of tyranny, American-grown Gibson Guitar Company has been raided. During the raid, the Department of Justice shut down operations and confiscated more than a million dollars worth of materials.
Gibson has not been charged with any violations and their materials have not been…

Before I was the “crazy, racist, hobbit, tea bagging, loony” tea party member, I was actually a consultant to CEOs.
Not everyone will agree with me, but, too bad – “I love CEOs!” I admire the ones I worked with because they were willing to throw everything they had in life to pursue a dream of business ownership. They sold their possessions, mortgaged their homes, ran up their credit cards and borrowed from family…

I have a confession to make. Before I became a tea party member, I had not thought about Constitution Day since elementary school.
I can still remember the entire class learning to recite the Preamble to the Constitution. Each of us had to take our turn…

Last night CNN hosted the first ever Tea Party debate with Tea Party Express and more than 150 tea party groups across the country.
It was a historic night and the Tea Party Movement was given the respect it deserves. The staff at CNN did an excellent job! The people behind the scenes who help those in front of the screens were professional, supportive and patriotic. Those in front of the screen were too and…

Yesterday we watched America mourn. The memorials were beautiful. The dedications were moving. The stories were tear jerkers. The photos were stunning. The pride of being an American was revived. It was okay to fly your flag. It was okay to salute a soldier. …

Ten years ago on a beautiful Tuesday morning, America awoke to a beautiful day. Nearly 3,000 citizens were scurrying to work; kissing their loved ones good-bye; running for the train; and dropping their children off at school. Pilots were readying planes for a trip and passengers were standing in line to board. Standing in the line with the other passengers were men with evil in their hearts.

If you could not stomach one more speech by Obama last night, please read his words at the link provided below.
There isn't anything new - just the same old political rhetoric we've heard time and time again.
Would love to know what you think. There were a couple of strange statements such as we are the worst polluters in the world and traffic is jamming up all over. …

As I write this morning, our Golden Retriever is sleeping on the right side of my chair and our Black Lab is sleeping on the left side. My cat is sitting on my desktop near the desk lamp. She is sunbathing and purring in delight. Life is good for our family pets and we are pleased they are so…

Today's post is from Vicki Higbee - A Proud Military Mom and a member of the First Coast Tea Party
I remember in January of 1991 the sinking feeling I had when Desert Storm began. In the back of my mind I thought, "At least my boys are too young to have to be involved." I was grateful that if a war was going to be fought, it was far away. I prayed the world would be a…

After 9/11, there was a call out from our leaders to reach out to the Muslim community. It was important that those who murdered 3,000 American citizens were known as radicals from Islam and not the average people of the Muslim community. We made great efforts to include them in ceremonies and President Bush even went to a Mosque one week later on 9/17. He brought them this message:
“…America counts…

Today is Labor Day. It was once a proud holiday for the hard-working people of America. Today when we think of Labor Day- we think of unions and how they have twisted the hearts and minds of their dues paying members. We see how the people have allowed themselves to be used by Union bosses who take their…
ContinueI appreciate you reaching out to me regarding two of the biggest challenges facing our nation: the federal budget and out-of-control spending. As Florida's junior senator, it is my priority to confront these issues by reducing wasteful spending, eliminating duplicative and inefficient government programs, and working to ensure the solvency of…
ContinueIf you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
