Have you heard about the Progressive Rally this weekend in DC? Did you hear about all the unions who are paying people to come to the rally?
One of our very own came up with a great idea. RJ in our tea party is a member of a union and he said if you live within 12 hours of DC they will pay for your transportation. He suggested you tell them we have 10-15 people going and we could get a free trip to DC!!
Here's the information:…

After yesterday's city council meeting all of us were frustrated and mad as heck. As we stated yesterday, there are many complex parts to the issues at hand.
I may step on a few toes with this blog so bear with me for a moment.
While the City Council could have done a better job with the budget and cut more non-essential programs, their hands were tied where the real money could be found. The money that would have made a difference would be to cut salaries (like…

I have just returned from the City Council meeting where they voted to raise our property taxes again for the second time in two years.
This was not a surprise. We saw it coming and we heard some disturbing comments over the weeked which we decided to hold back. We held them back because we wanted to see if the council members would prove those statements wrong. They didn't.
Last weekend, it was brought to our attention that local lobbyists were caught laughing…

An unlimited power to tax involves, necessarily, a power to destroy; because there is a limit beyond which no institution and no property can bear taxation. - John Marshall
The citizens of Duval County showed up last night and filled the City Council Chambers and two overflow rooms. The spirit in the room was confidence and the people were firm in their pleas to the members of the council. The people were informed and educated and the city…

The flyers have been put out all over town and we would love to finish them up at the Jags game.

Take a moment and go to WOKV's website. There is an interesting article about the 9% Property Tax Increase that will be voted on this coming Tuesday night, September 28. Check it out here http://wokv.com/localnews/2010/09/has-council-already-made-up-th.html
We disagree that the City Council members have made up their minds. We believe they REALLY want to do all they can to keep from raising…
ContinueSome of you may remember Donna Summer and her song, "She works hard for the money, so you better treat her right."
Today on LibertyCentral.org -- Check out the posting about how Congress is going to take more out of your paycheck starting January 1, 2011.
The only reason for taking more money - the flip of the calendar from 2010 to 2011 and all because Congress did not extend the Bush Tax Cuts. As of January, they will officially become the Obama Tax Hikes for…

Harry Reid is grasping at straws and doing everything he can to attach Illegal Amnesty to a Department of Defense reauthorization bill. This is nothing more than underhanded progressive tactics and Harry needs to lose this one. The act would give UNDOCUMENTED immigrant students who have been living in the US since they were young an opportunity to go to college or join the military. This will offer them a path to citizenship.
Okay - this sounds good and wholesome yet it is…

Today is We the People's Anniversary - the day the Constitution of the United States was signed into law. There are many opportunities to celebrate this day and we have provided a few for you here. We hope you will take a moment to remember those men who spent months framing the Constitution - which is the Contract we have with our Government. While nothing is perfect, this document has served our country and its people for over 200 years and we have a lot to be thankful for because of this…

Hello Tea Party members: I am out of town speaking at a conference on behalf of the tea party movement. I am in a hotel in Ohio that has only liberal stations and no Fox. It also has 5 stations in Arabic. Our carrier in Jacksonville does not have these stations so it was interesting to see them.
I…

Well the March on DC was a renewing and energetic experience. Once again Patriots from across America came together to send a message to Washington that We the People are not Happy.
This year there were 3 events going on across the country at the same time. That decision was made because Glenn Beck had an event 2 weeks ago and many people could not travel again. Even though it was less in numbers than last year, there were still MANY people here and the energy in the air was…

Yesterday was a beautiful day in DC. The weather was remarkable and the sky was as blue as it was on the day terrorists attacked us on 9/11. My favorite speech at the 9/11 Memorial service yesterday in front of the Washington Monument, was from a retired Lieutenant of the New York Fire Department. He told stories about some of his men who died that day. The stories were moving because they were personal and real and the people were real too! He reminisced about their lives, their career…

We are in DC and the feeling in the air is very different than it was last year.
Last year we were not sure if we should "expose" ourselves as tea party members because no one really knew if anyone else would show up. Last year, people in the hotel elevator were quiet and nice and they kept their "tea party tee shirts" covered up.
This year -- not so much!! As we gathered downstairs to get a bite to eat, bus loads of tea party members were unloading and checking…

I'm proud to be an American - especially today. Hundreds of thousands of great Americans are packing their bags and showing up on the highways, airports and train stations to head to Washington DC once again.
These are our friends and fellow patriots that we did not know 18 months ago. Susie from Seattle, Kellen from NY, Diana from Philadelphia, Amy from Atlanta, Robin from Florida and many, many others from across this country have found each other and are fighting together…

We had a press conference last Friday about the City Budget. We have received numerous calls from not only citizens, but also City Council Members.
Everyone who called was very pleased we took the time call the press conference and have the document available for handout.

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
